My colleagues had recommended Bella Vision as I was looking for a place that was in downtown Bellevue, preferably walking distance from the office, which Bella Vision is. Plus, I inquired with Bella Vision online about intaking new patients, and they responded within the same week, making the new patient process and scheduling my first appointment super easy. What a breeze! After checking in, I worked with one of the team members who was super friendly and personable. She did my initial assessment of my eye exam, with the different vision tests before I was seen by the doctor. For my appointment, it took longer than an hour, so something to note in case you have a tight schedule. They take VSP, which is the vision insurance I use, so glad to know they were able to look up my account and get my payment squared away. They also sell different, luxury brand frames here, in addition to contacts. Glad to have a new place to get my annual eye exam in a location that's easy to get to, with responsive customer service. read more

Firstly the good. The staff are pleasant and helpful in the purchasing process. The store is nice and they offer a wide range of products. Now the downside. I purchased a pair of IC Berlin frames with progressive lenses. At $1,220 for the eyeglasses I expected a premium product and experience. After receiving the glasses, I experienced problems with the IC Berlin temple hinge which caused one of the temples to fall off. The hinge design is complicated so I went to the store to have the temple reinstalled. Before fixing the glasses, I was required to sign a waiver absolving the store of liability if they damaged the glasses during the repair. This was unsettling given the glasses come with a written 12 month warranty. Subsequent to this the temple piece popped off during use without me noticing. The temple was lost, and I was left with glasses with only one temple. When I called the store to explain what happened, they told me as the temple was lost, the manufacturer would not honor the product warranty. The store offered to sell me a replacement for $175. I asked them to work it out with IC Berlin as the frames were still within the 1 year warranty period. After a couple weeks, the store got back to me confirming IC Berlin would not honor the warranty as the defective part was lost. They offered to sell me a replacement for 20% off the $175 list price. This is unreasonable as they really should be covered by warranty. Left me wondering how much margin IC Berlin and Bella Vision intend to gain from my misfortune. As a result of this experience I don't recommend the IC Berlin brand, and Bella Vision evidently does not stand behind what they are selling. read more

I usually do not post reviews but I thought this would help others. Highly highly recommend you avoid this store! I went in and ordered a pair of glasses with them. A day after the order went through I was informed that the frames I ordered were sold out. I didn't like any other frames so I asked them to cancel the order. They DID NOT cancel the order and billed my insurance. I had to involve my insurance and after they called the BellaVision manager multiple times the issue got resolved (or at least I thought it did). Now months later they are harassing me to pay them for glasses I NEVER received. The store manager has still not resolved the order even though I called him and he said he would take care of it. Now they are threatening me that they will get a collection agency if I don't give them the money. I've had glasses for a very long time and never ever had any issues with any optometrist offices. We normally go to the Redmond location because of Dr. Choi (he doesn't go to the Bellevue location; however, both locations are nice. Redmond location has more public parking. Bellevue location is in downtown Bellevue and although there are parking for the building, it's shared with other retail shops, so it can get crowded at times. Been a long-time client of Dr. Choi. I've never really tried the other doctors. Why reinvent the wheel? Their selection of frames are plentiful and I like that I can request products to be picked up at another of their locations. read more

The most incompetent company I know who does not own up to mistakes. Avoid like a plague! They have lost my business. I went in to get slightly cracked ear piece for my $400 frames replaced. I was afraid the crack would break and cut my ear. Instead of fixing it, they completely broke it and wanted me to pay for a replacement. They could not resolve it and after speaking with the manager, I had to go back twice with no resolution. I ended up going to another different eyeglass store that I didn't even buy the frames from and they ordered and replaced the ear pieces for me in a couple of days for free! Avoid this optometrist shop like the plague. A few years ago they incredibly messed up a contact lens order, to the degree of giving me mis-sized contacts with a different prescription (1/4 my actual prescription). The past few years we've brought all the documentation and contacts in a few times, about annually, and called them even more. Not being an optometrist myself, I clearly didn't know exactly what was off (apart from extreme discomfort from the few times I tried to use them) until I found the sample contacts they had originally given me to compare side-by-side with the ones the 180pk they gave me, and was able to pinpoint the mistake. Every single time they denied the issue, until this week with the side-by-side proof, and they decided to take the incorrect lenses from my dadwithout issuing a refund or replacement (!?) If you value the health of your eyes and wallet, find a far more legitimate store than this one. read more

They have a good selection of frames, which I tried out numerous times... when I finally picked the style, the staff even ordered a different colored frame for me when I mentioned my concerns with the color I tried on in store. My husband got his eyes examined here and said the optometrist was friendly and cordial. He also got sunglasses here. My wife and I have been going to the Bellevue Bella Vision for a while now and what strikes me is that every time we go, they always make sure we feel like we're taken care of. Everyone from front desk to Jin, who is always helpful, go the extra mile to make sure that the frames fit just right, are flexible about eye appointments and about picking up our contacts around our schedule. The Optometrist seems to care about making sure that the prescription is accurate, and, for contact prescriptions, he listened to my concerns regarding past experiences and the issues that I've had. The location is very convenient as well because we live in Mercer Island and Bella has free parking in the garage that's shared with the other retail stores. I had my eye glasses lens installed at the Bellevue location a bit over a year ago. Things seemed good after I got them. I recently went to my optometrist to get my annual check up. I let him know that my eyes were feeling extra tired after looking at computer screens. My optometrist tested the blue light blocking coating that Bella Vision installed for me and said it was suspect quality and not blocking any blue light! I called Bella Vision and they let me know they recently switched labs and that there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I take the issue up with insurance instead. I paid extra for the blue blocking. Needless to said, I'm pretty disappointed and wouldn't trust Bella Vision for lens installation again in the future. read more

I have been going to Bella Vision for the last 2 years and my experience have been nothing but excellent. Growing up I had a lot of eye issues, I had to have eye injection in one eye, laser treatment for my retina in the other eye. Doctor Antymis was the only doctor that was able to clearly identify both my injection and laser treatment site and tell the difference between the two. Not only Doctor Antymis was very knowledgeable, their staffs are very friendly and caring. Jintae was always very patient explaining different options with my glasses lens choice. Went there to get an exam done for my contacts. When I checked in, the man was so sweet and kind. Asked questions about my son, which obviously I love. The woman who took me to get the little tests done before the doctor came in was quiet but kind, and played with my son, which is something I think is very sweet. And my son was getting fussy because this was the third appointment of the day for me but the doctor was still very kind and tried to move quickly so that we could get out of there which was super considerate. The only downfall was that I waited two weeks for my contacts only to find out that it's already there. They said they called, but I didn't have a missed call and no messages were left. The doctor convinced me to go with Zeiss lens over my 10 year relationship with Varilux. This turned out to be a wast of money. When I first put the glasses on after they were a week late, my vision was distorted but I attributed it to the new lens. After giving it a shot for several weeks I wound up putting the glasses down and reverting back to a previous prescription. This Zeiss brand was the worst recommendation I've ever been given by a professional. After about a year I finally took the glasses in to have the lens replaced because I liked the wireless frame but simply could not use the Zeiss lens. The tech introduced me to Shamir lens. He advised me the Zeiss brand was the worse lens based on his own customer feedback. The reason I opted to give it a shot vs. going back to varilux was that he guaranteed satisfaction or he would put the Varilux in for free. I was cynical, of course, but game him a shot. Low and behold, I got the glasses back and my progressive lens were not only thinner but they were PERFECT. I could actually drive with the Shamir lens; something I could not do with Zeiss which added to my frustration. This doctor at Bella has lost ALL credibility with me and I unfortunately will not recommend this outfit to anyone. He obviously knew that Zeiss brand was inferior but decided to put me in it anyway. Stay away from this doctor and that store; they do not have your best vision as its priority. read more

Bella Vision responded to my email within the hour with many options for appointments since they have multiple locations. I went with a Saturday appointment because it's tough for me to get time off from work. So, YAY for being open on Saturdays for working individuals! Their receptionists were super easy to work with and friendly, and you can't say that about a lot of clinics. Their office is clean and welcoming, allowing lots of natural light into the waiting area. I saw Dr. Antymis and he was friendly and knowledgeable which made the exam portion a breeze. I also worked with Jin, the manager, and he even gave me great feedback when I had trouble picking out the right pair of glasses for my face shape. He gave me advice about certain frames that might work better because I have a low nose bridge and many frames might slip or not stay in place properly. Last time I had my glasses made here, the prescription on one side was really off and I had to wait another 3 weeks to get it re-done. Another time, I was trying to replace a part for my prescription glasses and the staff said they would call me back after speaking to the vendor, but that was a lie. Especially when they didn't even take my call-back information and what actually needs to be replaced. I felt like they're just brushing me off. I never received a call-back. #notimpressed. The doctor at the location seems fine, and the staff is really friendly. They lost one set of my contacts once however, after they had already been on back order for three weeks prior. They gave me a temporary "trial"set to replace them for the time being, and it took another week before they 'found' the other set. They claimed they had ordered the contacts, but could not "find" them when I originally went to pick them up. They are extremely friendly at this location, and they did try to compensate me with extra trial pairs of contacts, so they did make up for their mistake. read more

I got my eyes tested and got my glasses here. The eye test was pretty standard. It's hard for me to rate the eye test because they all feel the same. The optometrist was really nice and she looked like she knew what she was doing. The prescription came out right. The customer service for ordering the frame was good too. My head is too big for most glasses so they ordered me two frames with bigger sizes with no commitment or charge. One of them worked out, so I got it. Pretty happy with my glasses! I haven't had my eyes checked in several years and I knew it was time. After making an appointment everything was very easy and convenient. From the moment I stepped into the store there was great customer service all around, from the front desk, the Doctor and the office manager helped at every moment of my visit. The comprehensive eye exam had very new equipment and was composed of various tests. This made me feel very confident in the results and information given to me from my Doctor during the visit after all of the various tests. It always feels good to know you're being told the correct information especially when it comes to your health. Lastly, they had a wide range of styles and different options to choose from. They carried some of my favorite brands like Ray Ban, ic Berlin, and Oakley which was fun to choose from. The manager helped go through the various brands and some pros each type of frame had. This really helped because I was looking for frames that would be comfortable to wear throughout the day, and glasses that wouldn't bother me and be uncomfortable while I worked. I got my glasses with my new prescription shortly after my visit and now I wear them every single day. I highly recommend Bella vision to anyone who is looking to get some glasses or simply check their eyes and know you're getting taken care of with the highest standard of customer service. Selection is decent and the optometrist was pleasant. My dissatisfaction comes with the terrible service with product ordering and communication from front desk staff. While there was no problem taking payment, there was a problem with providing basic updates to the customer regarding the product that I had already paid for. So simple advice to staff: It is always better to over-communicate than under communicate. Call customers and let them know if their glasses or contacts have arrived, and if they haven't then maybe just an fyi, "we didn't forget about you" type of notice. read more
