Such a cute spot!! My son and I did a date here and we were seated immediately. As we watched people come in there were multiple parties who were greeted with hugs from the team. The restaurant was full! I loved the atmosphere and decor. Reminded me of the Amalfi coast. Food was good! My son got their version of a pizza and enjoyed it. I got the bolognese, it was very flavorful. I did get the gluten free pasta and it was a little hard in some places which was a little disappointing but I was able to eat it. Bella Vista is a wonderful addition to Fruit Cove! We had the chicken francese, spaghetti and meatballs, and the signature cacio e pepe prepared tableside in the cheese wheel--everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, the lemon sauce was perfectly balanced, and the pasta dishes tasted fresh and homemade. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and you can really tell this is a family-owned restaurant that takes pride in its food and hospitality. One of my sons and his family took me and his wife here for a Mother's Day dinner. I had wanted to try Bella Vista since I moved near it three years ago and many friends have recommended it. We were not disappointed! Everything was wonderful from prompt and caring service, many thanks to Ms. Christine!, to a chef bringing my onion-free (allergy) food to the table. Other staff members also stopped by to ask how everything was, and that shows how involved all the staff is in making sure patrons are well-served. Combined with great food and attractive decor, it was a lovely outing! We had a variety of entrées. Two grandchildren split a pizza and a large salad. My daughter-in-law had the Eggplant Tower and another grandchild had a pasta dish. My son had the cheese wheel and pasta. I had a delicious short rib ravioli dish with a creamy mushroom sauce and a side of mixed veggies. I whole-heartedly recommend Bella Vista for family or guests to enjoy! read more

The food was spectacular!! One of the most authentic Italian restaurants I have found in Jacksonville (everyone working there is Italian). They were having a cooking class from Diana in the outdoor area while we were there for dinner. The only unfortunate thing was the horrendous service. Our guy got upset that I didn't know what my kids wanted to order and didn't come back for 15 minutes. I saw him take the order of two large groups who came in after us and ignored me multiple times when I was trying to get his attention to order. Luckily the delicious food made up for the bad service. The risotto was cooked perfectly and was so cheesy and delicious. The meatballs with the spaghetti were slightly dry but good flavor. My husband and I were visiting family from West Virginia and celebrating the purchase of a new home with them and their friends! 15 of us total! First let me comment on our server Kenny! This man was very helpful, kind, fun and so patient with the kids! The recommendations I received were amazing! Secondly the restaurant was very nice and clean, and everyone was very friendly! Now on to the food!! I had chicken parmesan and it was the best I've ever had! Delicious! My husband had chicken Parmesan with spicy rigatoni and he loved it! We've eaten here before and loved the food, so chose them for a graduation party. Cannot say enough about the whole experience. Communication was very prompt and every detail was covered. We ordered what we thought was way too much food (not because they told us to, just so we had leftovers). Well, it was so delicious that we had a lot less than we anticipated. The chicken dishes had cutlets cut into reasonable sizes. The lasagna was cheesy and meaty. And the cacio de Pepe was creamy even hours after we picked it up. Whenever I bring someone here they always say how much they enjoy it. I've hosted two dinner here and they always accommodate us. One of the owners Pablo is so nice and sweet every-time I visit. Saw this on Facebook a few weeks ago so I put it on my list for places to try. I'm so glad I did! I felt like I stepped in Italy for a moment. The chef was speaking Italian so I knew it would be authentic. The Cacho and Pepe tableside was just like Home. The vodka sauce, although it was good, was a little lacking in quantity in the pasta was a little dry. I'm sure I could've said something to get extra sauce, but we were limited of time. I can't wait to try the outdoor seating with heaters as it's a little chilly, but we'll definitely be back later this week to try other menu items. It's a little pricey for a dish of pasta. After making this our go to take out for large events at the house we finally made it to eat inside. The eggplant tower was fun and tasty my wife had the chicken parm and it was also very good Service was on point and the wine and beer list was very adequate. If you want everything for a celebration to be perfect this is your place. Party of 10 celebrating a friend's birthday was fantastic thanks to Bella Vista. We chose their outdoor patio for our celebration. Now don't fret sitting outdoors here. It's a covered space so you won't get wet and if it's cold out no problem you don't freeze because they have tons of heaters. This is one of the few places that I will sit outside no matter what the weather. (They also have a private room next-door for a larger party ). Our group of 10 decided on one of the price fixed dinners. We chose the Almafi dinner. You get so much food & a taste of everything including my favorite here the eggplant rollatini. This dinner gives you several appetizers including an antipasto, pizza, fried calamari. Then you get two pastas including their famous Cico de Pepe (made in the cheese wheel Tableside) & pasta bolognese. Then you get choices of mains. We chose the shrimp oreganata ( so delicious) and chicken Valdostana, which is fried breaded chicken cutlet with a salad on top of arugula, tomatoes, shaved cheese. It is so good here. You also get their delicious desserts. The family dinner is also great for groups because it's a set price and you don't have to worry about splitting the bill fairly. People tell me all the time to try this or that other Italian restaurants but why should I be disappointed? No thanks I'll stick to a place I know the Italian food is outstanding. read more

My husband and I when there last night for dinner on a recommendation from friends. We were seated Immediately but waited 10 minutes for a server, it wasn't busy and the staff were standing around chatting. We ordered drinks I had the cacio de peppe and my husband had the lobster ravioli. Both entrees were exceptional. I was given a Togo box and I ordered another drink. We were not asked about dessert which we were interested in. We finally asked for the check. After we payed out, we were talking as I was finishing my drink. One of the owners came by and put my Togo in a bag and it was obvious to us both that they wanted us gone. If you're looking for a quick, good meal, this is your spot. Good evening we were a party of eight and as we just sat down at Bella Vista in fruit Cove, someone at an adjacent table, passed out and fell. Ambulances were called, but the attentiveness of the employees to help this lady & clear out a section to give her privacy was amazing. They moved us to the other dining area and gave this lady privacy as she got help. the rest of the evening our experience was amazing and we heard that the lady was fine. Our waiter Fabio was attentive, witty and kept us laughing all night long. His service to our table was professional. We started with bread that was crunchy and made you feel like you were in Italy, dipping it in oil with balsamic vinegar. The table enjoyed fried calamari baked clams and salad. When the entrées came one looked better than the other, the chicken Parm was enough for three people. The porkchop Valdosta was butterflied breaded and came with cubed potatoes. I ordered the eggplant roll a teeny appetizer from my entrée. I knew better that the dinner serving would've been too big. We ended the evening with a round of lemon cello on the house. We cleansed our pallets before ordering cappuccinos. and affogato.. which is vanilla gelato with hot espresso poured over it. Note here they added chocolate syrup in the cup to add extra panache.. We took note of the beautiful wall painting and were greeted by a couple waiters. We each ordered pasta. She got the cacio e pepe and I can't remember the name of the dish I got. With the cacio e pepe, they prepare it in a wheel of cheese in front of you. Mine didn't require that. We loved loved loved our dishes. After that, we split a lemon cake. That was also amazing. This spot is as authentic as you can get here in JAX. We came here for a good friend's birthday. They did a fixed menu for the party. So the appetizers came out, then pizza, then main dishes, and then dessert and coffee. There was so much food and they were all delicious. It was a busy night too so the staff did their best to accommodate and serve us. I loved the cacio de pepe pasta that they put in the cheese wheel right in front of you. This place is less than 5 minutes from my house. Its a family owned restaurant that recently bought the place next door and expanded their restaurant. They also have a full bar I believe. We have been here multiple times for dinner and never a let down. I ordered their Christmas dinner meal which was a whole tray of rigatoni bolognese and chicken Parm, a half a tray of eggplant rollatini, a whole tray of salad, assorted desserts, and bread everything was delicious. Stopped by at Bella vista for dinner last night and we had such a good meal. The star of this place is service, everyone is super happy and helpful. They all seem to work well together despite being a busy for day night. We had the Veal parm and the portion was enormous, I had the baked clams and they were super tasty. We had an amazing dinner last night here at Bella Vista! First, I'm gonna talk about the restaurant itself, real tablecloth with real cloth napkins, and an atmosphere that made you feel like you were back in New York! Our waiter added to that as he was from Brooklyn and had the strong accent. He was phenomenal with his attention to detail, knowledge of the menu, and humor. Moreover, when he sang happy birthday to the people at the table next to us, he had the most amazing tenor voice I have heard exclamation you can tell this gentleman loves his job! My friend had the chicken Francesca which she allowed me to sample and I will tell you was the best I have ever had. It had the perfect amount of lemon flavoring with the fresh parsley. The piece was humongous in size. I had the chicken Parmesan, which I will say again was phenomenal. The chicken was cooked to perfection and again a large portion. Both of us had the assorted vegetables which was cooked again to perfection. The vegetables were crisp, and it had a great hint of garlic. To my delightful surprise, I had the luxury of enjoying a non alcoholic "Peroni" brand beer while sitting at the comfy and cool bar area. One of my ultimate favorites since I don't drink alcohol and love the NA options restaurants have when available. I ordered a freshly and delicious calamari appetizer. It was the best I've had since moving to Florida anywhere. A nice complimentary basket of fresh bread was served on the side. I also ordered the risotto with scallops as my dinner entree. An amazingly tasty tiramisu for dessert sealed the deal and topped off a great meal.
