Yummy food again at this new favorite of ours. Service was great and the fish special is still on mind! They are very accommodating and the place stays very busy. Reservations recommended!

Food was great and service was exceptional as always! My girlfriend's and I had a wonderful experience last night celebrating my birthday. The ambiance sets the mood for great conversation over delicious drinks, crunchy bread with house made butter that tastes like heaven & the main course did not disappoint. I highly recommend it if you're craving authentic Italian food!

We really enjoyed our visit. The ambiance was great and the restaurant was very clean. Our server, one of the owners' children, was so friendly and made the experience feel welcoming. The bread wasn't my personal favorite since I usually prefer warm bread with oil and vinegar, and this was served room‑temperature with butter. My entrée (Chicken Alla Toscana - pictured) was delicious, though I did add a little salt and crushed red pepper to suit my taste. Dessert was very good as well; the Italian cream cake was yummy, though the almond extract flavor was a bit strong for me. Overall, a lovely experience and I would happily return.

We went here for Valentine's Day! Aside from being BEAUTIFUL inside, the food is definitely top tier! The fact that they have FRESH handmade pasta easily makes this one of the best italian restaurants in Jax/St. John's! The hostess and server were both so sweet and really made the night feel special. We enjoyed their stuffed shells and seafood pasta very much! I can't wait to go back and try new dishes! Perfect for a date night!

We decided to go here for our anniversary dinner. We usually are out of town so I chose to come here since it's been on my radar. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance here did not give anniversary dinner. We had to sit next to the window so the view is the shopping plaza. The food was pretty good, but the pistachio martini was the star of the night. This is the best martini I've had. I'm not sure I would go back since it's a drive for me, but I was happy at the end of the evening.

We visited Trattoria a few days after they just opened. Inside was massive! Lots of tables and private area. I like the interior designs too! However, I was a bit disappointed, there was no complementary bread, portions were small, slow service, etc. But it did not deter me to come back and try them again as I know those things are part of opening a new restaurant and they probably got feedbacks from other customers as well, because a lot has changed when we had dinner here last Friday! We were greeted warmly and seated right away. It was still happy hour so I ordered an espresso martini, it was good! I like the contrast of the strong coffee and the creaminess of the drink. And yes, they now serve complementary bread made fresh in-house! I loved it! It's like a baguette but more dense on the inside. Sadly, my husband can do without it lol, but more for me! For this visit, I ordered the Bolognese, I substituted the rigatoni to tagliatelle pasta for an extra $2, and it was tasty! My husband got the Spaghetti Pomodoro with an additional meatballs. I liked it even better than my order, although they served it with a thinner spaghetti, it seems like an angel hair pasta. Nevertheless, we both prefer the pomodoro sauce, it was delicious! We ended the night with a satisfying cappuccino. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!!

Stopped in for appetizers and a glass of wine during happy hour and was greeted by smiling faces of Service staff, delicious food and a great ambiance for a nice happy hour. Bummed we weren't staying for dinner because their food is incredible! Definitely recommend if you haven't been by for authentic Italian food locally.

YUMMMMMYYY I'm not the biggest fan of italian cuisine but i must say this place has changed my mind. It's family ran and owned ! Beautifully authentic. The decor is really nice and they have italian covers of songs you will know. My girlfriend and I made plans to come for lunch as soon as the restaurant was opened. Laura (the woman in charge!) did us the honor of coming over to our table and chatting with us! The ingredients are amazing. They source their flour from Italy! It's the real deal! It's used in everything from their pasta to their bread and the crust of the pizza ! Fresh bread is brought to the table with a herby butter. I asked for a side of the blue cheese vinaigrette to dip in as well... tehe. I'm also the biggest fan of the pizza!!! Perfect combination of sweet and savory cheesy. Green onion was such an unexpected addition to top it off. The pasta is the best! Cooked perfectly! No soggy pasta here! I'm so happy to call this our local Italian place. We're already got our hearts set on what to order next time we dine in !

So so so yummy!! Amazing quality, fresh food! Everything here is homemade and you can tell! The bread is a great texture, pasta is perfectly cooked! The vodka sauce is delicious and the homemade sausage in there was too! They used big, succulent shrimp! Loved the pizza so so much! It is such a great combo of flavors and the crust is perfect!! Drinks here are fantastic, the espresso martini was a favorite! The service was great! Our server was attentive and quick! We went at a slow time and one of the owners, Laura came by and chatted with us for a few minutes which was very nice! It is a gorgeous restaurant with a very classy ambiance!! Perfect for a date night! I will definitely be back to try more menu options; there is so much I want to try!

My husband and I enjoyed this quaint, romantic Italian restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious. We get Calamari everywhere and this is hands down the best we have ever had!! The chicken parm was flavorful and we left with full bellies! I would highly recommend for a date night!

Authentic italian cuisine within a relaxed atmosphere. Very fresh and inventive. Easy to access location with.plenty of parking, fast service and great food.

Pomegranate Martini - it sparkles too!

This was such an amazing dinner. True authentic Italian food. Service was outstanding, with a family-operated restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday when they opened at 4 it was quiet and great seating for large groups or family.

My 3 stars is generous!…read more Bar/Lounge area welcoming and fun. Bartender Joe was super friendly and suggestive of cocktails. Dining room was sad, like a cafeteria eating space. Big, square room that was loud and cold. Hostess tried to "group us" in one small area with other diners that backed up to the bar's back door and along a row of computer terminals and bus tables. We asked for a better table and she tried to put us at the door to the kitchen. We asked for another option and asked for a specific table and the Hostess coldly agreed and gave it to us without saying a word (plenty of open tables on a Wednesday night!). My wife ordered a glass of Cabernet that was "on special." It showed up when she was well into her entree. Another of our guests ordered Chicken on Penne Pasta and got Shrimp on Penne. He didn't want to make a scene and just pushed the shrimp around in the bed of lifeless Penne. I ordered the Triple Tail on Cajun Risotto w/ Shrimp and it was so salty I just packed it up to take home and add my own Risotto to it the next day so it would be edible. I asked to split a Caesar Salad w/ my wife which arrived on one big plate so we had to keep passing the plate back and forth...I hate that! For goodness sake's, is a small side plate for sharing that big of a deal? As mentioned, the Dining room was depressing and if you go to this restaurant, I recommend you sit in the lounge for dinner and it has a much better atmosphere than the dining room. This place is way overrated and needs some serious attention if they plan to be around long.

We recently completed a long but awesome Jacksonville day with dinner at House Italian. They're…read morelocated at 5230 Baymeadows on the southside of the road. This was our second time at House Italian and the first thing we noticed we that they've expanded to double the size the from our last visit. We started with the Meatball Appetizer this time and liked it a lot. We like their sauce and the fact that it wasn't buried in too much cheese. We both got to pick starters with our meals as well. I went with the Lemon Chicken Soup which I had last time. I'm not a big lemon fan but it's not overpowering in this soup, it's more like a hint which is why I had it again. My wife loved the dressing on their house salad last time, so she went with that again too. You get garlic bread with your meal and yes, it tastes every bit as good as it looks in the photo I took. I picked the Seafood Over Linguini for my entree. Again, the lemon aspect of the butter sauce wasn't overpowering which is great. There was a LOT of seafood, just like the seafood risotto I had last time and the noodles were cooked perfectly. In short, I'm going to have a hard time moving away from their seafood offerings. My wife had their Chicken Francese last time and absolutely loved it. She wanted to try something else this time she so went with Chicken Scampi. It was as good as she hoped. She didn't give me specifics but she did say "oh that's the stuff" a lot from the first bite on lol. A couple of other things are worth note: first, we got there at 5:30 and even with the expansion, they were PACKED. We felt pretty fortunate to get the literal last available booth. I rarely recommend this but if you're going to go try them, I'd strongly recommend reservations for your first time. Just to make sure you don't show up at the wrong time and end up with a long wait because their word of mouth is so strong. Last but not least, shout out to Waldi, our server. He greeted us at the counter with a smile,, sat us, then became our server too. He was taking care of us, other tables, handling carry out orders and probably other stuff I didn't see. And the dude was smiling the whole time to top it off!

Fried mozzarella sticks weren't as crispy as I'd like (a little soggy). Good flavor, however. My wife ordered the Chicken Florentine (which was good) and I asked for suggestions and was told that the Tilapia Francese was excellent so I went for it. The Florentine came out on time but I had to wait for my meal. The waiter stopped by the table frequently to apologize to me for the wait. The manager also stopped by to apologize and offered a complimentary appetizer (Bruschetta Caprese) which was ok. Finally, after about 35 minutes of waiting, my meal came out. For the time it took, my meal was less than impressive. The breading texture on the tilapia seemed to indicate that it was prepared a while ago, but somebody forgot to bring it out. Maybe this was an off night for the chef, so I may give it another shot. The concern and attentiveness of the waiter saved this from being a 1 star review.

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. Great time overall--will definitely be back.

We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. Every bread had its own distinct flavor and texture. Next up was the sausage appetizer featuring both a sweet sausage and a spicy sausage, all made in house. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!

It is absolutely insanely delicious and reminds me of being back on the Amalfi coast. The meatball appetizer is also something truly special. We started with the arincini and it was amazing! The goat cheese made it spectacular and the marinara is really amazing. I have always wanted to try the pear fiocchi because everyone raves about it and it is their best seller. But...I was not impressed. The servers seemed to know it needed help. Our server offered me crushed pepper and another server stopped by and offered chili oil and peppers. I got the sense they knew I didn't like it and it needed some flavor. But it was too sweet. Even though it is pear pasta, I assumed the added cheeses and sauce would balance out the flavor but it was way too sweet. Luckily they took it off the ticket and I was able to share lasagne with my husband and that was amazing. Just beware that if you order multiple things, make sure you get different sauces because if jt has red sauce, it will all taste the same. Vary up your flavors. Also we got the chocolate cake and my kids left half the cake on the table. They never leave cake behind. I will also add that my daughter got the child size Sunday Suppa with pink sauce and a meatball and she LOVED it. I am glad we went and explored the menu, but I am literally sad the pear pasta was not as amazing as I had hoped it would be!
