I'm flabbergasted as to why this is so highly rated. The air conditioning was broken inside on a low 90s day so we sat outside. Perhaps the pizza oven was broken too? I came starving and forced myself to eat the subpar pizza. The crust from Trader Joe's is more exciting, the sauce was average, and the toppings were missing/not great quality. Having just gotten into town from a flight I was hungry so I looked up a place for lunch and saw many positive reviews for Belladina's Pizza, so I came here. They have a dining room with probably about 6 tables. They do more than just the typical thin pizza (NY Style), as they offer Chicago and Detroit styles as well. They also have some Italian dishes, like lasagna. Service was very friendly and helpful. The place smelled amazing, like a pizza joint should smell! My pizza was made quickly and served piping hot! It had really good, fresh, and tasty ingredients. I asked for cherry peppers and this was the first time I've ever gotten cherry peppers without getting any stem - I loved this! The heat and flavor of them was great too. The crust was perfect! A slight crisp and a great flavor and not too thick. Sauce and cheese were excellent as well. Highly recommend pizza here! read more

We have the Detroit style pizza, which was really good, a little light on pepperoni. Not much seating inside, and it would be too hot in the summer. Anyway, there are seats outdoors to sit and grab a bite of pizza. We also got the mozzarella sticks, and a Caesar salad A+ parking is a bit of a problem. This one has been on my places to try list for a while. We decided on the Deitrot style because who can resist a deep dish with crispy baked cheese edges?! Also, I like that the sauce is on top and I can scrape some off since I don't care for a lot of sauce. They have New York and Chicago style pizza too. We also tried the fried mozzarella which was okay. This place is tiny with hardly any seating inside and no AC - or it wasn't on. When we were there it was a very hot/ humid day so we opted to sit outside. The seating outside is not covered but the trees do provide plenty of shade. No beer or liquor if you are looking for that. Service was great and staff is friendly. It appears to be locally owned and operated which is always a plus in my book. read more

We were headed home after a full morning in downtown Greenville. It was right around lunchtime and I thought I was too full from breakfast to eat, until we passed by Belladina's Pizza. People were eating outside and everything looked and smelled wonderful so I had to look inside. The smells were amazing and fresh pizza and sandwiches were coming out of the oven and it was busy! I knew I had to try a slice. They were very busy but someone immediately came to the register to take my order. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, I was told it just came out of the oven and was very hot. It was a great slice of cheese pizza and very New York style, which I love. Convenient location across from our hotel, and just off of Main Street. The friendliest authentic Italian wait staff gave excellent recommendations. We really enjoyed sitting outside but the patio beside was well decorated with a giant mural and soccer memorabilia. Clean restrooms to boost. This small pizza place gave off a vibe that was both more Italian than the typical American pizza, with various soccer memorabilia on display, but also a sort of '90's nostalgia. The price was nostalgic as well, as when my pizza arrived, I did a double take. $12, plus toppings? It looked too big to eat. But I'd had enough time since my last meal, and the pizza was good enough, that I somehow finished it. I probably went against the grain getting the Detroit style at this place, but the way they executed it was interesting; it was the most Italian Detroit-style pizza I've had. The crust was very thick and bready (I would have preferred less), but what was really distinctive was the sharp cheese blend with parmesan on top. Their sauce is delicious and there was more than this style of pizza usually has. Not everyone will get the hot cherry peppers as a topping but they added a tremendous amount of flavor. I couldn't handle any more food. When I asked for water they gave me bottled but didn't charge me for it, so okay I guess. It wasn't the best Detroit-style pizza I've ever had, but the quality of ingredients was palpable. read more

While the food was good the older man who seated and waited on us was so inappropriate and rude. He grabbed my phone out of my young daughter's hand and told her to put it away it's not allowed at his table. She's 11 and very shy and sensitive and he made her cry. There was a big plank missing from the table which he told me was a "glory hole", while we were still eating he reached over my aunt, grabbed a tray of our pizza, dumped what was in it into another pizza tray.
