This was my first time getting gel X manicure and my first time receiving services at this location. I don't know any of the techs and the woman who did my pedi did an okay job and she also did my gel X mani. It was not done right. Again my first time getting it done and I have pictures to show how sloppy it was done. Pedicure is also not clean. I am just disappointed because I have a very important event to attend on Friday and I needed to look my best. I paid $130 before tip. YIKES! For a mediocre job. Left index finger was filed down significantly to reduce the thickness of how she created the French tip. The index finger was not matching the other nails. So i agreed to let her file it down to see if it helped. It didn't. Once it was all done it was so late that i just paid tippd and left. Once in my car I began to inspect. Such sloppy dirty work. I'm so bummed and exhausted and disappointed because it wasn't cheap. I do want my index finisher nail fixed tho because the bottom was left with a thick blob of glue. It's just terrible. read more

Honestly I'm super disappointed in the service. I waited a hour and a half which is not a problem considering I was a walk in. The lady I got did a French tip pedicure gel not only are my French tips all crooked, but I asked her to redo them multiple times and she would be very dismissive and would not let me check after she redid them. Just for my pedicure to come out to $55?! they don't tell you that they charge extra for French tip. I was already on edge about a $45 pedicure but considering it was gel I was OK with . absolutely ridiculous for the amount of time I was in there. I was in there for three hours. I usually go to a different place in West Covina and they charge me $30 for the same exact treatment, even a specialty and grown removal for free. I will not be coming back. read more

The pricing seemed to change constantly, which was frustrating and confusing. I also felt like I was being watched and given unnecessary attention the entire time, making me very uncomfortable. First time there, got a regular pedicure ($45) and Gel X nails ($60). Unfortunately the Gel X nails were not done well. This was my first time doing Gel X and honestly it was done so poorly, not a $60 job. I was on a time crunch and I already had them soak off white tips because I didn't want super thick French tip. This was faster for her but it wasn't the look I wanted. So I said no nails and I'd pay for the removal. But she pushed these Gel X because they're faster but really she needed to make a sale. Aside from timing issues (2.5 hours for gel mani and pedi)... the technique is just very poor and the techs need additional training. My pedi: I had existing gel on my toes and the tech put a solution that smelled like industrial paint thinner (not acetone, not foil wrapped) to dissolve the polish. It began to burn the skin around the nail and when I touched it, it was all oily and messy and had a very strong petroleum scent. I notified the tech that I was getting a burn and she put some sort of barrier cream between my toes. The new polish on my left foot didn't cure long enough and I'm left with tacky gritty polish. My manicure: the tech ignored the air bubbles in the clear coat and the overall appearance is just thick and goopy. I was ready to go as I'd been there close to 3 hours so I just took the loss. I've only been here once before and won't be back. There's MANY nail salons in the area that hire fully trained techs that are actually nice (please offer more than one polish book and don't be rude when asked to see one). read more

I would give them 4 but the service was a little subpar. I had called and asked if I could make an appointment for manicure and gel x full set. We set a time and I drove out there. When I arrived, I waited 10 min. Not terrible. 10am appointment. I mentioned the full set and pedicure. We started on my pedicure and they were Thorough. Took her time. Did what she had to do. Small language barrier - but standard. No complaint. Until 45 min in I asked about my full set and they said it would be another hour. I had to leave at 11:30 to run to school pick up. I had asked if she would be done by then and said no. So I had to leave with just the pedicure. Which wasn't the plan because I had a flight that evening for our vacation. Hence the full set. They told me to come back later - I wasn't sure I would be able too. But I did. Came back at 2pm. And they did the set. One nail was slightly crooked. I asked her to fix. She wasn't thrilled but she did do it. Overall they came out nice. But would have loved to get them both done at the same time as I had called to request. Place was clean and busy for a Tuesday. I had a frustrating experience here. The credit-card machine was "broken," but no one said anything until after the service was done. Then they told me they only take Zelle or cash. That's not fair to customers -- we should be told before the service starts. It feels dishonest and unprofessional. When a business refuses cards and only wants cash or Zelle, it gives the impression they don't want their income to be recorded properly. I won't be coming back. read more

She did my manicure, but the little braids she had on the side of her head got into the polish twice. I pointed it out the first time. Said "sorry". Then she said something which I didn't understand & I said "am I done?" She said yes. I wasn't done because she loudly said something in her language & put my hands back on dirty towel. I hate to say this but these are by far some of the worst nails I've ever received. They are chunky and sloppy and nothing like what I had asked for. They also took a very long time to get them done so not worth the headache to get them repaired. Few weeks ago got a pedicure on a Sunday for a vacation by Friday they were the all chipped it looked like I hadn't got my toes done in months. Also got gel x nails and they were done so sloppy. Last week I removed them and got regular gel manicure chipped in one day went back. Fast fwd to today one week later another chip. Went and got it fixed and got a pedicure while I was there. I feel they did mediocre work but never once really compared my hands so my left hand nails were always longer. When I asked her to measure she said she measures the front but my nails were definitely not the same length. Maybe I'll give them another try another day. This was my second time coming here hoping it would have been better than my first time, but it was not. My first time they were rushing my appointment due to another client coming in and forgot to apply a clear gel coat. My second time was today and the tech painted the gel past my cuticle on my skin which led it to peeling off. Very disappointed in their attention to detail. Update: They reached out to me and offered to redo my gel polish at no charge. They were able to squeeze me in and were sincerely apologetic for my two past experiences.
