She fixed my hair disaster! Mahi and her assistant were amazing! Not only talented, but also very kind and down to earth. After getting a really terrible haircut and color, the next morning I researched salons and looked at what felt like a 1000 pictures. It was obvious that Bellagio Salon could handle a serious color correction. I called and said, "I need help, I'm desperate--something horrible has happened to my hair." She said, "I'll squeeze you in." I arrived at a very inviting salon across from the Newport Beach Harbor--such an amazing location. I really didn't have to say much about what I wanted done--it was obvious. Blend the thick white stripes on top of my head and add highlights to the bottom where there were none. Use a toner to warm the strange ashy stripes. Under the stripes was a very strange dark color. Nothing about this hair color made any sense. It was shockingly bad. Mind you, I had a perfect canvas for the first hairstylist. My hair was very long and hadn't been colored in years. It's naturally a lighter brown and gets natural highlights. What I asked for from the stylist who messed up my hair: blunt layers, especially around the crown since it's heavy and weighs down my flat thin hair. What I got: about 7 inches cut (that was fine), but I still had long heavy hair on top. The layers were all on the bottom few inches of my hair! It made zero sense. It was uneven and had these little flippy pieces in the very front. Mahi said, "Don't worry, I'm not going to let you leave with wings." hahaha! I love her. I cannot believe Mahi was able to create a good haircut with the little hair I had left. My hair is at my shoulders now, and it has a style that actually makes sense. She cut the long pieces around my crown so now my hair has body and movement. The white stripes are blended and no longer look so ashy and grey. Mahi took so much time and care with me--it was very meaningful. She also used a lot of her products on me and was very generous. I'm also shocked that my hair is not fried having my hair colored two days on a row. I'm so grateful Mahi uses quality products at her salon. My hair is now soft! A lot softer when I left her salon compared to the day before when I left that other salon. I'm so grateful. Thank you for helping me, thank you for making me feel so safe in your chair. I've been getting my hair done with Mahi for just over a year now after a college roomie recommended her to me. My natural hair is dark brown and I'm very prone to grey hairs so I've been opting for an annual blonde balayage with root touch ups in between. I don't apply heat after I color my hair (caused me some long term damage in the past) so Mahi kindly naturally styles my curls. Mahi saved my hair! I had my hair done with a different stylist at a different salon who gave me bright copper roots and who tried to fix it by throwing brown and bleach on the spots she messed up. All I can say is wow.... Thank you to Mahi and Nour. I have never felt more like a princesses. For context I have that dark thick middle eastern hair possible the thickest you'll ever see and I have struggled to find someone who can do my hair. Coming into this appointment I was so nervous because people have messed up my hair in the past or have given me something different from what I imagined. But Mahi took the time to UNDERSTAND what I wanted and boy did she EXECUTE. She gave me the color and cut that I wanted and more which was even better than I imaged. I showed her images from what she had done in the past and she adapted it to my hair with baby lights as well as highlights worked in to provide a lighter color overall with lots of dimension and hues of ash as well as gold and beige! I found Mahi on Yelp and I'm so happy that I did. For the first time in years, I LOVE my hair. Backstory: I'm a naturally dark blonde who has been trying to go light blonde for a very long time. I somehow kept finding myself in the same situation over and over again. I'd visit other colorists and show them photos of my target color. After lightening then toning, I would leave the hair salon with my color looking almost exactly the same as when I went in. The only real difference being that my hair felt way more damaged. It was so frustrating and completely baffling to me. Flash forward to when I met Mahi, we sat down and I told her about all of my previous hair struggles. She explained to me why she believed I found myself in the same situation over and over again and how she could help.
