Lovely person who runs the salon. Unfortunately, the two times I was there she indicated she didn't have her assistant. When I told her my hair was like straw after my 1st appointment, she indicated "I used too strong of a peroxide." Most of it had to be cut off. All I can say is wow.... Thank you to Mahi and Nour. I have never felt more like a princesses. For context I have that dark thick middle eastern hair possible the thickest you'll ever see and I have struggled to find someone who can do my hair. Coming into this appointment I was so nervous because people have messed up my hair in the past or have given me something different from what I imagined. But Mahi took the time to UNDERSTAND what I wanted and boy did she EXECUTE. She gave me the color and cut that I wanted and more which was even better than I imaged. I showed her images from what she had done in the past and she adapted it to my hair with baby lights as well as highlights worked in to provide a lighter color overall with lots of dimension and hues of ash as well as gold and beige! She also really seemed to CARE and paid close attention to DETAILS in how she separated my hair as well as to the tones she selected with me to give the effect I wanted based on how my hair lightened. The color she TONED it to also really matched my skin tone which was also something I was concerned about. It was a major transformation and I don't think I can ever go anywhere else. Mahi also worked extremely QUICKLY for the whole duration that I was there she meant business, but in the most FRIENDLY and welcoming way. She was able to cut and color my long thick dark hair within 5 hours which is absolutely unheard of for me. I found Mahi on Yelp and I'm so happy that I did. For the first time in years, I LOVE my hair. Backstory: I'm a naturally dark blonde who has been trying to go light blonde for a very long time. I somehow kept finding myself in the same situation over and over again. I'd visit other colorists and show them photos of my target color. After lightening then toning, I would leave the hair salon with my color looking almost exactly the same as when I went in. The only real difference being that my hair felt way more damaged. It was so frustrating and completely baffling to me. Flash forward to when I met Mahi, we sat down and I told her about all of my previous hair struggles. She explained to me why she believed I found myself in the same situation over and over again and how she could help. She's extremely patient, knowledgeable, and explains every step of the process which I really appreciate. Mahi uses lightening products which take more time to lift, but result in significantly less damage than other commonly used lightening products.
