A week ago( first stop )bought 5 bags ( dozens) of kkbayan bread for myself and share sa mga 4 family. Yesterday my 2nd again bought 4bags and 1dozen of ensaymada to shre with friends ,i told them go get theirs bcoz really good. Asked for all hot bags ( was brown paper bag bcoz still warm ) i nicely asked if i could have the small plastic bag so i can put in those bread after it gets cool down to give to friends. Honestly i just had a good intention as a matter of fact I've told about 20 people about their place ,how good their bread but so disappointed with the answer ,we don't give out plastic bags because we have limit ..ok i understand that but oh common business owners it's just a small plastic bag,just very small/ fraction compare to the return your business can gets, customers will appreciate and come for more. Look sa other place ( Val...Bakery they do that smart way to do business) don't have to be that kuripot think of the return you can get,keo gi ma keo vay ma. Spanish bread was dry and not of the quality I expected. It could be because it was old, perhaps day old. The sweet buttery paste was like a dry jelly. It wasn't buttery at all. I was really disappointed in the quality of the bread. The price was cheap so I wasn't too torn up over it but I didn't finish my bag of bread, I threw most of it out. The place gets busy over the holidays but overall, call ahead if you're afraid the bread is sold out. Every time I've come here, they're sold out of most of the other items. Either sold out or a limited menu due to the pandemic. The bakery is located in a gas station plaza. Parking is ample because most people don't stay long. It's located off the freeway, so that's convenient. Not sure if I would come here again for the Spanish bread, but the pandesal bread was good. Love the warm pandesal and my favorite is the kababayan. Yummy! Reasonably price and the staff always greets me with a smile. Only thing is, I think the place needs a scrub down to make it more inviting and pleasing to the eye. As it is, it's dingy looking. Owners are friendly (they are the ones taking your orders too!), serves the best hot (and cold if you plan to have them later) pandesal and spanish bread. Their puto (filipino steamed rice cake) is one of the best I've had in the states and perfectly pairs up with my favorite dinuguan. Just wish they serve better coffee where I can dunk my pandesal into. Overall it's my go to place now instead of Starbread. read more

John L.'s pictures popped up as I yelped for quick breakfast through the Tracy/Lathrop area, and I had to stop by. It's been almost 10 years since I was there last and honestly forgot all about it. Bella's is located in a little strip mall right off I-5 near 205. The outside is small and unassuming, as is the inside. There are only a handful of choices and you can buy by the dozen (which is the easiest). Sure it's divey, but one doesn't come for ambience. One comes for the fresh baked pan de sal and fresh baked Spanish rolls. The pan de sal has great chew and just a touch of sweetness. They bake them fresh everyday and even though it was already 11am, the rolls we bought were still warm. Of course, the Spanish rolls are so delicious...small, warm and sweet filled with butter and sugar. Nom with a cup of coffee. My kids inhaled these like popcorn. Still, as per John L., Starbread just opened up in Tracy and suggests I buy a box to compare. Will do, John, will do. read more

I would say this is the best Filipino bakery that I've been to and I've been to quite a few in the Bay Area as well as LA county. I stopped by as I was driving along the 5 FWY headed north and looked up all the local places on yelp mobile and this place popped up. I was so excited to see that they had spanish rolls and pan de sals when I entered the plain bakery! The place it self isn't the least bit fancy but the food and service is what really counts right?!? The staff they're were all so sweet. Next time I make a trip I wish for sure drop by. This maybe the best alternative to the Starbread Señorita Bread since the closest one is about 50 miles away. We always get their Spanish Breads and the Kababayans (corn muffins) by the dozen (or two). I won't mind driving up I-5 for these. Definitely a fan! read more

Wanted to know what all this hype was about. Raised in Daly City but moved to the Central Valley, I had to find out if their stuff was any good. It WAS !!! They open at 5am every day, and you have to get there as early as you can or else they sell out !!! Nothing beats hot, fresh Pan de Sal. But, as with previous yelpers, their Spanish Rolls "are to die for" and really "melt in your mouth." I'm so happy there is a local, Filipino bakery in this part of San Joaquin County !!! read more

Family favorite!! We always make a point to come to this bakery when we are in the area. Their pandasal and Spanish bread is soooo good.

We came here at 5am in the morning and we bought pan de sal and Kababayan bread. The pan de sal was tasty, fresh and warm. It really tasted like the Philippines! I loved it! We had some left over pan de sal that evening, but it was still as good as when we bought it. Makes me want to go back again even if I live 41 miles away from there. :) The Kababayan bread was also very tasty and moist. It breaks easily, but I think that's just how it is. One bag has 12 pieces. I opened the bag in the morning, but by the end of the day there was only 4 pieces left. It was just my boyfriend and I eating it. It's that good! :) I would definitely go back again. There's a few Filipino bakeries in my town. This is the first Filipino bakery that really got my taste especially when it comes to Pan de sal. My friend told me about this place, I did not know I had to go earlier and they run out of "señorita" when I got there on Sunday around 11:00am Owners were so friendly and advised me to come early or call ahead to reserve some !!! When I got bag of fresh vanilla muffins ( they were delicious by the way!) they gave me all they had left of "señorita" for free! And they were as great as muffins. So kind of them!!!! read more
