This place saved us from hangry-dom. We just came from Fine Mousse just a few minutes before to find out the kitchen closed at 10. We then found Tony's Slice House crowded, so we opted for Original Joe's to find out they were closing. By the time we arrived at Belle Cora and hoping it would be ok to eat, we were beyond hongry. Our server was super friendly and attentive. He recommended a few popular bites-- all of which we followed thru on and ordered. Among those, we chose the tuna tartare but we never got it (it's ok, we weren't charged for it). My fave from top to bottom was the mac and cheese; it was creamy and cheesy as mac and cheese should be. It had broccoli and ham which added to the texture- the broccoli for a nutty crunch and the ham for saltiness. The pretzel was not this "out-of-this-world" flavor that I was expecting- especially since it's half baked in Munich, Germany and then shipped off to the restaurant itself. It was a bit too salty but ok enough. It came with a cheese dip and mustard. It was ok, nothing spectacular. The artichoke dip was also ok--could have been a bit more cheesy and it came with crispy pita slices; it was flavorful. In combination, the apps presented a great meal when paired with alcohol. All in all, we enjoyed every bite. Sitting outside, sidewalk seating, under heating lamps, watching passerbys looking at our food, drinking our spirits, it was a beautiful way to ring in our evening--North Beach style!! read more

Maybe I had the wrong expectations about coming here but I thought it was a restaurant, but it's very clearly a bar, with food. When I walked in a was greeted by "hi what do you want" I was so taken aback I was just like... to eat? So I sat at the bar cause I was alone and there were QR codes on the bar. Someone came over after several minutes and said, what do you want? Literally the exact same thing she said to me a few minutes earlier. I just ordered cause it's easier and I didn't wanna cause a fit, and then they asked if I wanted to start a tab and I said yes cause I guess you have to? Idk a little off putting for a restaurant. Anyways, no one ever checked on me and I had to flag someone over to pay my bill. The food was VERY good though, Just a very weird and unwelcoming environment even though most of it is outside, I expected more from a north beach staple. read more

I've been here twice as I've been walking around the area with my fiancé and my husky and I love how they have plenty of out door seating which is DOG FRIENDLY! I love how on some weekends they have live music playing so that you can enjoy some nice appetizers and drinks. This place has a good selection of beer and wine to choose from! Their food is pretty good as they have small bites like pretzels, a cheese plate, and like calamari. I do wish that on their brunch menu they had a little more options to choose from but that's okay. Think I have a new local hangout! Belle Cora just opened a week or so ago! It is a new Beer/Wine Bar that replaced the old Delluva Wine Bar. Not to be mistaken w/it's former resident, Belle Cora has it's own unique style and identity - as they are establishing themselves as not only being a comfortable place to hangout (with it's outside seating - which is great for people watching!) and inside lounge booths/window tables/bar counter seating - but also a place that encourages repeat visitors among locals (with it's reasonable wine bottle/glass pricing and plethora of unique beer offerings on draft and bottles). The food is lighter fare and features charcuterie and cheese platters as well as unique items such as German pretzels (that are actually flown in from Germany!) served with German bratwurst. Have a dog? Bring your pooch and find a comfy spot for you and Fido to people watch in their outdoor seating. (And make Jeanine's day...she is the fantastic waitress who LOVES dogs!) We love this beer and wine bar! Can't get enough of it. The wine list is great with wines you don't typically see on a California wine menu. The Verdicchio is just yummy. Great beer selection too. Nils is awesome, he runs the joint and is super friendly and fun. They did an awesome job on the decor, impeccable. And outside seating? You bet, along with heaters for your San Francisco nights. Also great for our 4-legged buddies. Connor and Janine (not me) are great too! Food nibbles are great, they fly in the pretzels from Germany. Dipping sauce? Yummy. Mac and Cheese? Strolling through SF and thought to give the place a try because of good Yelp reviews. We were wanted a small bite and some drinks. Drink price was reasonable but food was not. We ordered the spinach dip and it took 30mins for it to come out. The dip was small and really can't even be called a spinach dip. Looks like someone grabbed pinches of spinach and artichoke and added cream..that's it. No cheese at all. It came with a handful of roughly cut toasted bread slices. Being at North Beach with so many other great places, this place needs to step up. Also, our waitress was not friendly. No extra service or attention besides taking our order and bring us our order. Been a semi-regular here for a while, but just got a chance to stop by for the first time post-pandemic and I was blown away! Some of the best outdoor seating (with heaters) in the city. First thing I noticed is that the menu has been overhauled and looks amazing. I had the burger and shishito peppers and they were both amazing (burger is top 5 best I've ever had, no exaggeration). Super friendly and attentive service, made me feel like I was at home. Also, it looks like that part of North Beach is converting to "walking street" style bistros, so their patio was significantly expanded. Lots of room, and space for seperation from other diners, not to mention great ambiance and solid wi-fi. Highly recommend! read more

Being in that part of town, you will be inundated with numerous places to go, so you may need to sit and decide what exactly you're gonna do. Do it here. Outside seating with very effective heatlamps help fight off the SF cold and gives you a chance to take your coat off and show off that new shirt you bought to impress your date - as second thoughts swirl around your head in which you second guess yourself and wonder should you have worn your good luck T-shirt instead. In any event, come here first. Place has great music inside and street music outside to get you pumped up should you decide to head over to places with live bands. And since restaurants that may be so packed that your party ends up on the waiting list, come here first! We had a 2 and a half hour wait for our table at a restaurant across the street but the wait didn't even feel like a wait. At one point I was thinking I hope it takes a bit longer since I wanted to hang out longer! Have a drink or two (I had Pinot since I'm trying to divorce my Cab), enjoy great music, friendly conversations even with other patrons, and order food too if you wish! Omg as I look around, "It's more than just a bar!" There is Happy Hour here and information scrolled on a blackboard, hmm I want to play hooky one day and come back. So came to Belle Cora on the recommendation of a yelp elite. On the plus side we got a seat outside under a heater and there was live music. Also bottomless mimosas if you feel so inclined. Minus is the food, average at best. I had the croque madame (which initially came without ham) and my friends had the shrimp ceviche and the corn beef hash - nothing to write home about. For such a great spot with good drinks and music an increase to the food quality could make this a must see brunch spot, just not right now. read more

My partner and I stopped here for a glass of wine and some light food on the way back from an evening sightseeing boat tour off of Pier 39. They have a good variety of wine (and beer) and light comfort food selections that are nicely portioned. We had the ceviche and cheese plate. Both were great and we would order again! This was a nice place to go get drinks after dinner. The environment is swanky and open - there are lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The cost of wines and beers is average for the city - Wines ~$8-12/glass and Beers are $6-9/bottle. There isn't much of a food selection because it is a limited kitchen. The service was spectacular. I would rate it 3 stars because there was only one waitress serving the entire place and it was clear she was swamped. Her effort was clear and she was very sincere. Everything took 10x longer because the place was understaffed. She was running around the entire time and I think management should consider hiring another person to meet the number of customers that are coming on a Friday night! read more

Came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend after having lunch at Golden Boys (which was the best pizza I've tasted in a long time). We seated ourselves at the bar, but their were no employees behind the bar or in the entire restaurant. The cook kept awkward eye contact with us while looking around also confused. When someone finally approached, we put in our orders and he was bland, and just looked like he didn't want to be there. Didn't check on us once, or ID us either. The only reason why I mention that is because there were a few kids seated outside having a beer who didn't even look over the age of 18. Overall, there are many other bars/restaurants in the area that offer MUCH better customer service and are actually appreciative of your business. read more
