She still lets my skin dictate what should be done as I deal with hormonal acne and scarring. I know that when I get a flare-up, she can help and I mainly come to her for maintenance now. My review from 2013, that was moved over from her previous location: I am so glad I bought a groupon (or was it livingsocial?) to try this place out. I bought a voucher for microdermabrasion, but upon seeing my skin, Irene told me that there was absolutely no way she was going to do that procedure on me because it would cause more breakouts. Irene knows what she is talking about when it comes to skin. She explained how microdermabrasion on my skin that was still breaking out would just cause the bacteria to spread and she recommended that I try the chemical peel (she has a few different types of peels). She really recommends what is best for your skin! After doing the chemical peel every week for a month, I've still continued to buy the 5 pack packages (I do the 2 week stronger chemical peels now) and my skin is noticeably healthier. If you get facials done....start the chemical peels too or better yet....ASK IRENE!! She is helping me win this battle against adult acne :)

Porscha was thorough in asking questions about my skin, routine, and what products I used to avoid any reactions. She was really gentle during the whole process and as she went through each step, she explained what she was doing and why including what the benefits of it all was. I mentioned to her that I get migraines regularly and she spent extra time massaging my head and neck/shoulder areas and did some lymphatic drainage to help with any inflammation I might've had. I scheduled an appointment (yes, it's appointment only - no walk-ins) with Phuong via text so it was effortless and painless. Her studio is set up in the My Salon suites which offers multiple beauty services via different licensed specialists in separate rooms. When you arrive to the building, you can either text her and ping her on the call box and she will buzz you in. Upon arrival, you're met with an incredibly thoughtful interior design that just makes the suite aesthetically pleasing. It sets the tone for a relaxing spa environment -- she even has the lights and music to set the tone. Once you change and get situated on to the treatment bed, she assesses your skin to provide the best recommendation for a facial treatment. What this means is that she customizes every facial to the uniqueness and needs of each of her clientele's skin type. I love this approach because facials should not be a 'one size fits all' deal. Based on her assessment of my skin's condition, she got right to work. Every step in the process of the facial was explained -- she told me what she was doing and why she was doing it. Education is key so she kept me informed the entire time. It helps me understand what I need to do for at-home care also. From the cleansing, to the extractions, to the serums and creams, the mask, and even down to the neck and shoulder massage -- everything exceeded my expectations. Not only was she very thorough in her craft, but she was also very gentle which created a true spa like experience. I left her studio with clean and dewy skin. Excellent work all around!
