I was entirely happy with Belle Tire today, after walking out of the "Discounted" Tire place a few miles East yesterday. I will start with how I was treated, and then contrast this with the Discounted Tire dealer so you have a basis to understand my rating. But I need to first describe the problems with my vehicle so you can understand the differences in customer treatment. I tried changing my summer tires and wheels over to winter tires and wheels myself. But I was using my impact wrench with a socket I did not know was damaged. I wound up rounding off the lug nuts on both the rear wheels by the time that a lug nut got stuck in the socket. That is what caused me to notice that the socket was cracked. I wound up with a vehicle having only four lug nuts for one wheel, and damaged lug nuts on that wheel and one other. Needless to say I did not try to swap the front tires myself. Instead I decided to have a tire shop do the work this time. I should also mention that the winter tires are slightly smaller. I went to Belle Tire and explained this situation. The worker there recommended that I replace all the factory lug nuts with the ones they had in stock, which they only charged me a dollar each for. Since they had to remove all the old lug nuts anyway to install the replacements, they also took my front winter tires/wheels from the back of my vehicle and put them on. And then they ran the TPMS relearn procedure for all four wheels. Furthermore, Belle Tire did all the work, including the removal of one severely rounded off lug nut, in less time than I spent waiting in line at Discounted Tire. I need to take the Belle Tire guys donuts one of the next few nights on my way home in gratitude. In comparison, the Discounted Tire guy, after learning the situation responded with these points: 1) The back tiires are not the standard size. (I knew that. They are 3 mph off at 80mph, big deal.) 2) The load rating on the back tires was too low. (I knew that. The load rating was 100-200 pounds per tire lower than the stock tires. But the combined load rating of the snow tires is still 7000 pounds. The GVWR of the vehicle is only 5380. So there was still a safety margin of over 1600 pounds). 3) Since the load rating was lower than for factory tires, he said that he would not authorize any work on the vehicle, after he played with his computer to pretend to look up the GVWR information. But... get this... He offered to sell me four new tires and said they would do the work if I replaced all four tires. This is why I strongly prefer to get tire work done at Belle Tire. I only stopped at the Discounted Tire place because they were in a location where I could walk back to work. And as I mentioned, when I did stop at Discounted Tire this time, they did not want to perform service work. "Discounted" Tire just wanted to sell new tires, which is the same thing they tried to pull on everybody in front of me in line. read more

This is my favorite Belle Tire located on Ford Road in Canton. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have been patronizing this Belle Tire for 6 years and have never been disappointed. They are quick and accurate with my vehicle. I would recommend this store to everyone. J. Waldon read more

I went to the Canton Belle Tire to buy four new tires for my wife's minivan ($800). They tell me it'll be about an hour. I check in at 1:15. Still not done. After 1:45, I ask again and they say it's now ready, but they didn't do the tire alignment. I complain that I was told it would be about an hour and the guy behind the desk says, "I didn't tell you that, but you're going to give me attitude?" I just about lost it. I explained to him that they are collectively Belle Tire. I will never go there again. I've been told Belle Tire Plymouth is better, but Belle Tire will not get my business. I hear Discount Tire in Canton is good, so that's where I'm going. read more

Ive been coming to Belle Tire since it was Tireman. I frequent this particular location. Usually they do okay. I don't know what's going on today. I caught a flat, went in for repair/replacement. The counter guy-didn't catch his name (older guy)-was pretty intent on selling me two new tires, even though my existing tires are in good shape. They replaced the tire, honored the warranty, got me out in about an hour. I got in to take off, low tire light's on! they obviously never checked pressures in remaining tires, I could have a bad TPMS...they'll never know. Then they never bothered to put my spare back. I have been to this belle tire a couple times. Let me just say this I took it in for an oil change and rotation, then told them the air in my tires was very low and asked them to check it. They did my oil change fixed one tire and that's it. I had left and my check tire pressure light was still on! Like wtf. So tonight i go to put air in all 4 tires and ding ding ding the light goes off.....hello do ur job and fill the tires part of your job. Horrors. It was a rainy Monday morning and the right rear wheel was wobbling. I was still about 5 miles west of Canton. I decided to risk the drive to Belle Tire because they have always been able to pull me out of these messes. I went in and, luckily, I saw Jeremy Magalski, the Assistant Manager who has helped several times previously. He walked out and looked at the wobbly wheel, which was missing two lug nuts. He went in the shop, found 2 matching lug nuts and a torque wrench. In minutes my car was fine again. I asked how much I owed and he just smiled. "No charge", he said. I went to this location when I was in Canton and my car started making a grinding noise. After about a 45 minute wait, the guy gave me a list of 6 things needing to be fixed and said it would be $1200. He also said $800 worth of them could not wait. I decided to get an estimate from somewhere else and the Belle Tire employee told me that my car was not safe to drive. The other place said it would be fine and that they could save me money, so I decided to risk it. Five out of 6 things on the list turned out to be completely fine and the repair only ended up costing me $500. In addition to that, the employee was extremely condescending. read more

This is the third time I've used this particular location. Every single time I come out with low tire pressure. They never fill my tires right. This time I had a flat tire, got it changed, asked them to rotate and check the other tires becuase it was an MDOT incident which caused the flat tire. They only fixed the tire...which was still in teh same spot. The next morning, my tire pressure sensor was on again (AS USUAL after leaving here)!. So I went to the belle tire in Ann Arbor and it turns out, the front tire was 10 lbs under the recommendation. I'm done going to the Canton store...three times and you're out. read more

First off, I am a picky car guy, I know a lot about cars and cant be bullshitted. I notice everything. I called Belle Tire to get a quote on tires, the Salesman gave me some recommendations based on what i was looking for, wasn't pushy and said he hoped to earn my business. It Took me a day or two to get over there but he remembered our conversation, and I chose a set of tires. They literally had them swapped out in less than 30 minutes and they said they wanted to put it on the rack and check the allignment. I thought, here we go, they are going to stiff me for an allignment. Nope, they brought it around and said "its all in spec", paid my bill and i was out of there. To be honest, I ususally end up at Discount Tire, both of these businesses have ticked me off in the past, but this time Belle hit a home run and I will look here first next time. read more

WOW. Had a another great experience yesterday and decided to comment but then I read these reviews and was shocked. I have an 08 Suburban and have shuffled back and forth between BT and the dealership for repairs. I usually drop my car off so I have no issues with waiting. When I have waited, I am a very impatient person but I recognize that about myself and do not abuse others for it. I too had a leaky tire that was a goofy issue that took 3 trips to diagnose correctly. I wasn't angry with them, they don't build or drive the cars. But back to yesterday. Three months ago, I got some work don and waited on some other stuff. One of the things that I waited on was a front drive axle ujoint. At the time, I was quoted $240. Yesterday, I took my car in for this repair. When I came back to pay for it, I was told that my bill was $190. On their own and without me asking, they applied a sale price and saved me $50. I was impressed because they really didn't have to say anything and I would never have known. Thanks guys. read more

I've been going to Belle Tire for years, mainly ones in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area, all had excellent service. Went to this one over the summer to see about a rattling noise heard when accelerating on my 2003 Nissan Murano. The shop fixed something completely irrelevant to the original problem, when I drove it again the same problem I took it in for was still there. I went back the next day to get my money back with some difficulty, but eventually with success. They tried to tell me that the parts that were replaced were needed. Knowing nothing about cars, I said sure go ahead, thinking that they thought it was going to fix the rattling noise I came in for. I still don't understand why they fixed something that was completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. They should have just told me they had no clue what the problem was. Also told me that it wasn't their problem if they fixed something now I had a "different, new sound that appeared", which seemed rude to suggest to someone who has had the car for awhile. They were pretty defiant, and weren't compliant at all. Told me they'd be hesitant to look at the car again if the same problem arised. That won't be a problem - definitely won't be seeing them again. Okay for normal maintainance such as oil changes, etc but if you have any special problems, I wouldn't recommend them. Ended up going to the dealership, and they did an excellent job, an oil change fixed the problem. I liked the convenience and close distance of Belle Tire to my home, but don't think I will be going back again, seeing as how there's plenty of other good auto service places on Ford Rd. read more

These people are brainless. This is my first review of anything ever as I sit in parking lot with yet another flat BRAND NEW tire that I bought from them that is not even a month old. 3 times. This has happened 3 times in the past month to 2 different BRAND NEW tires. I bought all four new from them. Took it once and still happening. Going to a different belle tire. I will never go back to this location. I have been a customer of Bell Tire for over 5 years and have never had anything but positive experiences until I went to this location. I took a tire here that was flat and it took them 4 hours to take a look at the tire. I was told it had a small leak and they had fixed it. To put the tire back on for me it would take another hour. Fast forward to 3 days later and that same tire is nearly flat again. I take it to the Bell Tire in Plymouth this time and they tell me the tire is pretty torn up on the inside so repairing it most likely won't work and it should have been replaced. Save yourself the time and frustration and just drive the extra mile or 2 to the location in Plymouth. read more

STAY AWAYYYYYYY unless you want your vehicle broken! They broke the shifting linakge in my truck and had the nerve to tell me it was already broke. I only went in for an alignment. Now I have to replace all this other stuff that was never broke. Just because its an older vehicle doesnt mean you should break it. I have been a customer of Belle Tire since moving to Canton in 1995. This is the first time I've had an issue with them, and this is certainly the last time. This happened just about 1 year ago. I went to belle tire to have 2 striped lug nuts removed. I was planning on putting my summer tires/rims on my Dodge Charger. I dropped it off and was told it would be ready in about an hour. Living close by, I told them I was going to walk home instead of waiting. Two hours later, with no call from them, I decided I would call. "Oh yeah. Your car has been ready for a while now". Okay, no big deal. I retrieved my key, got in my car and put it into reverse. I instantly heard a cringe-worthy scraping sound from the front end. I threw it into park, got out and noticed that I now have a major crack in my front bumper. I know for a fact that they did this because it was parked in a different spot than where I left it with them. I went inside, visually pissed off, but managed to keep a level head about it. I told the assistant manager that whoever worked on my car, had hung the front bumper on the curb. He came out with me and we both took pictures to document it. He told me to get 3 estimates from different shops and to return to him with them. I did so, even though I believe they should have to have gotten the estimates themselves. After we came to an agreement on which shop, I dropped it off at Collex. At this point, Belle Tire and I are still on the same page as far as them covering the cost of the repair. Belle Tire had also paid for a rental car for me to use for the duration of the repair. I had received a call from Collex while I was at work. They told me that my entire front bumper needed to be replaced. Also, when my car hit the curb, it pushed back so hard that it had damaged the AC condenser. They informed me that they told Belle Tire the total cost and that Belle Tire is refusing to pay for the $2000 in damages they caused. I called Collex back and asked why. The assistant manager said that "The damage to the vehicle was caused by the act of the driver coming off of the curb". uhh......what? Unfortunately, I was not able to go Belle Tire to "talk" to them about it, so my girlfriend went in my place. She later called me and told me they were extremely rude. They talked down to her, would not let her get a word in, and basically insisted that it was my fault. I called over to Belle Tire to have a friendly chat with this assistant manager. I received another phone call the next day from Collex and they told me that the store manager of this Belle Tire came to look at it. He agreed to cover the damages and they made some sort of "deal", probably for a lesser price, I don't really care. It's good to know that the manager actually has a brain, unlike the assistant manager. Nevertheless, I WILL NEVER go back to this location ever again. read more

Excellent service. I am a customer for life! My new car has less than 10,000 miles on it with the original tires. The left rear developed a slow leak. I arrived at 7:30 AM, hoping to beat the expected Saturday morning rush. However, they open at 8:00 so I counted on a wait of at least 30 minutes. Much to my surprise, employees were already working, before the official store opening time. A nail was removed from my tire, which was then patched. There was no charge. Amazing in this day and age that they would do this work for free. I was happily on my way before 8:00 AM, barely enough time for me to drink the free cup of coffee! Outstanding and dedicated staff.
