Every time I go here they make me feel like a huge inconvenience. Every single time. Like they didn't know customers were coming in today? Sorry to bother you. Three times in a row I've gone here for tire evaluation and all three times I was treated like an inconvenience so I went down the street to Sam's Club and purchased tires their every time. If they are so busy that they can't handle the work load, maybe it's time to expand? I have a fleet agreement with them for oil changes and they treat me like a third class citizen. On April 5, I went to the Belle Tire store at 3773 28th street SE, because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I explained to the salesman (Don) that I'd be selling my car in a few months so I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but wanted to see if they could find the leak. I left the car with him, and waited to hear back. When he called a few hours later, he said they couldn't find the source of the leak, but that I "seriously needed new tires." I told him I didn't think that seemed right because I had looked at my tires before I came in and felt like they still had pretty of good tread. He didn't say much except that if I wanted to take care of the problem, a new set of tires (4) would do it. Reluctantly, I told him to go ahead. I came in and paid the bill ($280) but again questioned whether I really needed new tires. Don assured me I did, and that this would take care of the problem. I left feeling very skeptical that I really needed new tires, or that they had corrected the problem. Two days later, the tire was flat again. I called Belle Tire and spoke with Adrian. He said to bring it in and see him. I went in, and it was determined that the tire with the slow leak had a crack in the valve stem. Adrian didn't say much except to apologize and say he would try to help me out if I had any other tire needs. My husband and I took our car to Belle Tire because we had a suspicious noise in the front of our car. Last night Belle Tire provided us with a quote for issues which we questioned. We promptly took our Subaru to the dealership down the road where they explained to us that we in fact did not have any of the issues that they told us including; CV Boot, Axel and Sway Bar. I decided to give Belle Tire a shot when looking for tires for my 2001 Ford F250 truck because of good review on tires for this vehicle. Waited about 2+ hours for the tires to be done and then was told that they could not align the new tires because the Ball joints were loose and could not be aligned. (this was supposed to be part of my charges for the tires) I was given a estimate of $1,300+ dollars to have it done. I took my truck to my mechanic that I have been using for years and he was not able to find any problem and was able to align the tires with no problem at all, but I had to pay additionally for that but it has now been done. I have always used Discount tire in the past so I guess I will be going back there for any future tire needs. I would never be able to trust Belle tire on 28th street ever again after this experience. read more

I recently had a shop do some service work on my vehicle it needed an alignment so they took it to this Belle tire location while the vehicle is in the position of Belle tire it started to rain they had a problem with their alignment machine and placed my vehicle out in the rain. My vehicle is a jeep wrangler soft top which was on the vehicle And only takes a minute to flip up if you are going to Park it in the rain. They opted not to do so and placed my vehicle out in the rain for hours which is caused significant electrical damage to my dash and audio system. I have contacted my lawyer to discuss legal action against them for damages. Do not bring your vehicle here they do not care for their customers property. read more

Mediocre at best. I brought my car in for an alignment, they didn't straighten the wheel. When I came back in and asked for them to complete the job, the guy at the counter was rude. Just bad customer service. The original job took 20min. The correction has already taken 40. Still waiting for a service I've already paid for. read more

I was in this location last week Thursday. I got a flat earlier in the morning, I changed my tire putting on the spare and after work went right there for a replacement. I didn't have an appointment so I knew I would be waiting that's not the issue. The issue is that while they were replacing my tire they managed to break one of my studs. Ok well they told me what happened and they broke one and will replace it. Well it was later in the evening and it was obvious people didn't want to be there any longer, they then let me know my car was done but they were not able to fix the stud they broke misinformed me it's safe to drive with a broken stud. (it's not safe) I need to get a matching tire for the other side and I still have a broken stud, doubt I'll return to this location or a Belle Tire again. I am beyond disappointed in the service here and the fact they will push you out the door safe or not. read more

I never ever write any negative reviews but this place treated me so poorly I would like to share my story and hopefully would stop a few people wasting their time and money. Belle tire was recommended to me by my father-in-law as he religiously uses the Alpine location and very happy with their service. So when I decided to start ride share business with my car I decided to go to 28th street location to have my vehicle inspected for Uber and Lyft. When I arrived at this location, they told me Lyft inspection was 25 dollars and Uber inspection was free. I told them do not do Lyft inspection and only perform Uber inspection. They immediately started talking down to me, called me a liar that I was not Uber driver. When I informed them I am both Uber and Lyft driver they told told me they did not for my lies and business in front of 5 or 6 other customers. I left the location to bring my Uber bank card to prove them that I was an Uber driver. I got back 10 minutes later showed them my card. They did not even apologize and they told me to take my business somewhere else that they do not care dealing with me. Terrible Terrible Terrible customer service and I was never in my life was talked this way at a business. Do yourself a favor and save time and frustration avoid this place. We were in Grand Rapids for a wedding and on the day of the wedding we got a nail in a tire of the rental car. Ironically, we had the father of the groom in the car and our job was to keep him calm. The nail did not help. Luckily we were near Belle Tire, drove in to see if it could be fixed, and 20 minutes later we were back on the road. The staff was fantastic as they understood our situation and fixed the tire right away. I can't say enough about their customer service and care. Bought my second set of tires from this store yesterday, after being a die-hard Discount Tire fan. I pre-selected a couple tires from the Michelin site and got online quotes from the Belle Tire site. Then I went into the store and the associate was able to help me select one based on my driving needs. They took less than the hour they quoted to install the tires and their waiting room had everything I needed to stay occupied - TV, Wi-Fi (and stations to plug in and recharge your electronics), stacks of the local newspaper, snacks and magazines. They had better prices on this tire than anywhere I could find - even the warehouse clubs. And you can't beat the free air and tire rotation for the life of the tire. You go in there and I don't even think they look you up on their records....they just do it for you. No hassles, just good prices and service. read more

I've been buying tires and getting service here for 17 years and have ALWAYS had a great experience. The price is fair, the free perks are impressive such as free tire rotation, seasonal swap, alignment checks, Belle Tire toys for your kids, but it's the service that keeps me coming back. I've unintentionally put them through some tests over the years. There have been times they could have gotten a little more money out of me in a sale, but didn't force the issue or scare me into it, or not offer me a discount when I didn't know there was a promotion (yesterday), and times that they didn't have to exchange something I had bought, but did it anyway (just last year), but in every instance they have been fair and exceeded my expectations. Have been a customer of Belle Tire for 15+ years. I have been treated fairly and honestly. My car is 18 years old (young ?) and I always expect bad news. Had the tires rotated this morning and asked to have an assessment as to alignment. I scheduled an appointment for 8 am and was out the door before 9:30. Did not need an alignment. I neglected to warn the technician about my funky driver's side window (bad motor.) they took the time and effort to coax the window up so I would not be cold on my drive. I asked them to look up when I had last purchased tires and what my mileage was at that time. Done deal--no charge of course and I will see them again in 6,000 miles. read more

Came in with a need for a front brake pad replacement. They tried to up-sell me on new rear drums, shoes, and front rotors. Rotors were recommended due to some rust on the rotors. Price was $650 for all. When I asked how much life the rear shoes has in them I was told 50%. This of course was something I had to ask, and wasn't offered as an option to delay the rear brake expense. I asked them to just turn the rotors and replace the pads. When I picked up the truck, the brake pedal was super soft compared to when I brought it in. When I went back in, I was told by the tech that I declined rear brakes and that was why my pedal felt different..... Note, they hadn't touched the rear brakes and the pedal was much stiffer when I brought it in. I asked if it needed bleeding and they test drove it again saying it is fine. That offered then that the reason it feels different is because they removed 6 pounds of dust from each rear drum... Still trying to get used to the new spongey break pedal that seems to need to be re-bled. Would I ever go back in the future....NO Would I recommend this branch of Bell Tire..NO read more

This Belle Tire is the absolute worst! Between my husband and I, we have been in there 4 times in the last month for one tire. We had a flat tire in May. My husband brought it into this store to get replaced or patched. They patched the tire. The next morning it was flat again. They put the lug nuts on so tight neither of us could get them off to put on the spare. Once we got the car to the store again they told me nothing was wrong with the tire (after a 3 hour wait). After 20 minutes of telling me I couldn't buy a tire because I wanted to, the mechanic came and told him there was a leak. So they patched it; again. Driving home today from my sisters house, I parked the car and can hear air leaking out of the same tire. I check the tire pressure and sure enough the sucker is leaking out. I am so unimpressed with the service here. We have gotten all of our work done at the Belle Tire in Holland previously and they have been on top of everything. However, the guys here are lacking in their field. They are rude to me every time I go in and they don't take their work seriously. Sorry but we will NEVER return to your store. read more
