After my teenage daughter struck a pothole damaging the wheel on our family car, I took the damaged wheel to Belle Tire in Howell and worked with a technician by the name of Don. I explained to Don that I needed the wheel repaired in time for an upcoming family vacation that was only about a week out. Don was absolutely fabulous in understanding the sense of urgency in completing the repair and came up with suggestions to where my family would still be able to use the car if in the unlikely event the repair could not be made in time (it should be noted the damaged/bent wheel had to be outsourced to a subcontractor in Metro Detroit for repair and so Belle Tire was at the mercy of the subcontractor's timetable). As it turned out, the tire was repaired and returned to me in exactly the time frame Don had promised (i.e., just a few days and well before we needed the car back for our trip). On top of that, Belle Tire only charged me a flat $160.00 repair rate. This fee included inspection (thankfully the tire wasn't damaged) and remounting of the tire on the wheel following the repair! Don even gave me a $30.00 veteran discount off that price. Incidentally, the comparable dealership quote for the repair was a standard hourly rate of $150.00 hours. Hence, I would have paid much more for the repair had I taken the wheel to the dealership where I bought the car. Once I had been notified the wheel had been repaired and returned to the store, I went to Belle tire today where they promptly mounted the wheel on my vehicle and it now looks as good as new--can't even tell the wheel had ever been bent. So now my car is back in operation with two days to spare before we leave for vacation this weekend. Belle Tire is top shelf and Don's customer service in helping a dad quickly get the family truckster back on line again before a fast approaching family vacation will not be forgotten. This is the second time I had used this particular Belle Tire store for my vehicle needs and the experience has been fabulous both times. Consequently, Belle Tire has earned a customer for life. I had, unknown to me, a screw puncture in my tire and went to Belle Tire in Howell MI for what I thought was a simple air top-up. Don took took such great care of me (as did Mgr Curt). It took a great effort to get it fixed and because Don insisted on taking the time for a full review of said tire, I'm able to write this today. It could have turned out VERY badly. Because of Don and Curt, I was taken care like "their own mothers." I had no cost, a service that Belle Tire keeps people safe on the roads. Shocks went on my van. I had called around several places for ballpark quotes - Belle Tire gave me a price that was in comparison with everyone else and said they could do it today and be done in 2hrs if I wanted to come right over. Unfortunately, I couldn't. Scheduled appt for next day. I was in and out within 2hrs (at lunchtime). They found some other issues going wrong with my van and were very upfront, had pricing ready and the price isn't going to change if I wait and do the other repairs in a few more weeks. I've found my new favorite Belle Tire! We recently moved from Lansing, where we got our cars serviced at the Belle Tire on Pennsylvania Ave. and really trusted the staff. Last week I lost all braking power on my way home from work and pulled right into the Howell Belle Tire at 5:30 pm. Chuck, the manager, was awesome- got it checked in 15 minutes, had the new brake hose ordered by 6pm and kept the store open for me until my husband could get there to pick me up. I stopped in this am and the gentleman that checked me in also came around and provided service to my vehicle. He was friendly, efficient, went above and beyond and fixed my issue. Service could not have been any better. When reading the comments, one should consider the time of day and if there's a preset appt., or if one is there on a walk on basis. Definitely can affect the time spent waiting when considering roadside is typically more grueling with extended response times. read more

My daughter had a blown tire. Called late the next morning to see if she could get an appointment to replace the tire in time to get her back home for work. They got her in, replaced the tire that was under warranty from another Belle Tire location, and got it done sooner than she had asked for. Brian was great. Originally I ordered tires from Walmart and my order was messed up and no one ever called me in two weeks. By this time, roads are bad. Belle is swamped but did their best to accommodate me. Brian and David are wonderful, i scheduled an appointment and forgot about it last week. When i called this morning to reschedule they got me in the same day and my car was even ready before 3pm, and I got a tire fixed and a full service oil change they even made sure to fill up my wiper fluid which was super helpful to me. read more

Went for a new tire valve stem. Free of charge and did the job Dicount tire declined/refused to do. Took a min for service but it was very busy that day. With how great they were i can see why they were busy. I would have waited longer for the job 10/10 will recommend! read more

My brakes were locking up and they took care of my car quickly. I will always take it to Howell since Brighton told me my car was to rusted on the bottom to lift it. But Howell got it done!! read more
