My brother pulled over to the side of the road to help a woman with a flat tire. Her tire jack was damaged so he drove a mile down the road to Belle Tire to ask if they had one he could borrow. They went beyond just letting him borrow a jack, one of the guys from the shop drove down to change the tire for this woman. My family has gotten nearly all the tires on their cars from this location for over 15 years. I recently called the store to ask if they had records for some tires and rims my father had purchased years ago. The man I spoke with knew my dad by first name, this isn't something you find from every business. This location has always given our family the best price they could on tires and repairs. Well let me start off by NOT Helpful at all. Go on my lunch from work, because from 9am to 1pm my tire was completely FLAT!. get there and guy tells me check in out front leave me your car and we will call you when were done....ummmm NOT happening is what went through my head. 1-i dont live in the area just work out here and 2-i have no other vehicle hence my urgency to get this done asap. Fast forward to 630pm (since they said they should be slower in the evening) go in ask for her and the guy out front immediately says leave me your car over night and we will get to it when we can and call you once done...UMMMM WTF!!! NOT happening i need the quick easy fix handle appropriately. didnt know that checking a tire for leaks or punctures took so damn long. well needless to say i did NOT get any help at all and left super upset since now i had to drive home on a tire that could potentially flatten on me or bust while driving.....thanks for the help NOT!!! i will NEVER return to this location ever in my life. as i was driving towards the house i decided to try another location and hands down had 1000000% better attentive service and concern than this location! read more

Went in for an alignment after running into a pot hole. was told that my car bushings were wearing out on all 4 wheels. They tried to mention that I "need" them in order to do the alignments and that they won't do the alignment without new bushings (60k miles on the car). Walked out with a $717 quote. I know that bushings don't really matter that much when alignment is being done. This was taught to me during auto mechanic class. How is it that every time I come to belle tire- Troy, I'm always told "I need to do this in order to perform"? I stopped shopping for tires here because they always try to sell you more stuff than they need. Hence why I always go to Discount Tire. We go to this Belle Tire as they are honest, have repaired our tires for free, fix our cars on time, and they price all repairs fairly. They got to the bottom of some of our car problems that the dealer over charged for and never fixed right, including electrical problems on our old Corvette. I also like that they do not push the most expensive brands. They carry many brands and will explain the differences, but don't do a "hard sell". read more

For whatever reason, today (July 1) is a crazy busy day at all tire shops. I tried to take my car to two other places near my work during my lunch break, but was turned away. Had 4 tires put on our Saturn Aura 2007 along with rotor smoothing; oil being changed and a tire sensor being replaced. My wife took it home and the next day the battery was completly dead. I got a flat tire at the intersection of Long Lake and Rochester. Was it fate? Probably just coincidence, but I took it to Belle Tire. The price was okay. The service wasn't terrible, but just as I suspected, they started telling me that there is a ton of stuff wrong with my car, which is just two years old and well maintained. They would have gotten four stars if they didn't try to rip me off by telling me that I needed an alignment (a free inspection by my dealer revealed no such need). I had problems with my A/C so my friend told me to take it to belle tire after taking it to three different shops who had no idea what was wrong with my car. When I took it to belle tire the people were nice and friendly, and actually fixed my A/C for only $130. Other shops wanted to charge me $700 for fixing my A/C and they wouldn't even know if it would fix it. So glad I came to belle tire. read more

Good place for simple things like oil changes, tires or simple brake jobs. I would not recommend them for anything complicated. I was a mechanic, and I didn't tell them that. I took my car in for a repair (I already knew what the problem was.) I gave them all the information they needed to make a good solid diagnosis without making them guess. They came up with a hit list of things wrong. All related to the original thing that was wrong. But only one item on the list was the correct action. That tells me they make shot gun guesses instead of solid troubleshooting techniques. I let them repair only the item that I knew was broken. Afterwards, I called the dealer for a quote and the dealer was 20% less than Belle Tire charged me. read more

I really wanted to like this place and leave a good review because the guy who helped me was very kind and professional. However, my experience with the actual process of fixing my car was anything but. I experienced some loud squeaking from the back end of my car. I knew my shocks were bad so I had them replaced. No problem. Great price. But then they told me the squeaking was actually from worn control arm bushings in the back. I know for a fact that you can buy bushings from any auto parts store but Belle Tire insisted that in order to get the bushings, I would need new control arms too. Whatever. Can't hurt (except my wallet). I was about to go on a long drive and I wanted the squeaking fixed. They charged me $400+ for all of this (btw, $90 for an alignment? please). I was charged more than I was quoted but thankfully, Brady worked with me and discounted the extra amount. All is well and I thank them for a job well done. That is, until I started driving home. The squeaking is still there. At this point, they're closing and I'm about to go on a 9 hour road trip and basically wasted $400 for nothing. Come back from the trip, tell them my problem still exists. MAGICALLY, they take only 30 seconds to tell me that a simple bracket was loose and they tied it down with a zip tie. When I confronted them about this, they told me, "Well your bushings WERE worn." Actually, they weren't. I took my car to another repair shop for a 2nd opinion before I had the work done and they told me my bushings were a little worn, but not bad. The only reason I spent the money to fix them is because Belle Tire told me they were responsible for the squeaking. I'm almost 100% sure they knew that was bullshit as soon as they had my car up on the hoist. Long story short, I was tricked into spending $400 on something that didn't need to be fixed. I just find it very convenient that they only found the "loose bracket" AFTER I had already paid for all the other stuff. In January 2018 (Michigan winter), I purchased a new car that came with summer performance tires. I picked up the car on a Friday night and took the car into Belle Tire the next morning to get winter tires. When the tires were replaced (the same day), they called, left a voicemail (I missed their call) and voluntarily admitted that they scratched two of my rims and said they can fix the rims. Two minutes later, they called again and left another voicemail, advising that they had already purchased two brand new, VIN-specific rims. I probably would not have noticed the scratches or been able to prove the source. I dealt with Steve, Val, and Nate. These guys were absolute gentlemen, honest, and put me before their bottom line. I had to wait for the manager and his coworker to end their conversation before I was helped. when they were done, the driver's chair had black residue on it. The assistant manager, Jake Hurley, did not apologize about the situation. He did come out and clean the chair himself. But then accused me of taking pictures of him!! At around 12 the salesman came and talked to me about repairs that I need that cost over $1,000, I declined. There seems to be a lot of standing around by the staff. Let me just start off by saying they are huge liars and are very unprofessional! I understand the people upfront are trained to do anything to get the business and keep it but this was on another level. I came into this location to have my tire patched. The guy at the front desk said the wait will be 2 and a half hours, which I was okay with since I dropped it at 10 I figured I would still make it to work on time. I call back an hour later only to check how much longer the process would take so I know if I should have my cousin take me home or stay around the area. The guy tells me your car will be done at 2.... when I tell him what I was told by the person at the front desk he gives me attitude and a sarcastic smart answer and tell me "Well I can't really push your car in the front of the line" Oh really?!!!!! I'm sure it was one of the 3 people upfront who was speaking on the phone so he knew exactly who I was. I understand there's long waits at places like this, but be honest about it!
