If you knew me at all, you'd know that I'm pretty lowkey with my beauty regimen with three exceptions: 1. eyebrows 2. eyelashes 3. hair Eyebrows are the frames to the windows of your soul (your eyes-DUH!) and lashes are the drapes. And Uncle Jesse from Fullhouse taught me a thing or two about the importance of great hair. My hair stylist recommended Thi for her eyelash extensions, and I want to tell you that I'm glad I listened. For the following reasons: 1. She uses Novalash and not just some run of the mill lashes from who knows where. They seem to be more sturdier than the other two places I've been (from a very "high-end" competitor closeby and another moderately priced salon). These lashes are sturdy and don't seem to "flip" like others. 2. I love her accessibility! If I forget to schedule an appointment with her in person, I'll text her (which tends to happen often) and she gives me my options. Easy peasy. 3. Her fill costs. Her rates are competitive in comparison to others. Aside from the quality of the lashes, that's the biggest factor you need to consider with lash extensions. Think about it: it's better to splurge in the first session and then pay a little for upkeep. If you are paying more than $50 (before tips), they better be some damn good lashes that won't fall out after 3 weeks. 4. She is quiccccckkk! 5. Great customer service! She's very busy yet she's always managed to accomodate my requests. I still had on old extensions from another salon and asked her if she would charge for their removal. She said she wouldn't charge me since I was getting lashes from her-removal and new extensions were done in about an hour 15. Wow! I believe this place is a two person operation. Thi handles the lashes (and probably other things) and the other lady handles the nails. I haven't indulged in the mani/pedis, but if available they can do the lashes/ mani& pedi simultatenously to save time! They do gel/shellac polish by the way. Awesomeee! She gives me the best eyelash extensions every single time I see her! Today, I decided to try her hydra facials and decided to splurge on the platinum treatment. OH MY GOD! I am completely mind blown with the immediate results. I am used to the traditional facials but after today, I will never spend money on a traditional facial ever again! Weren't born with beautiful long voluminous lashes? Then you can fake it naturally with NOVALASH extensions! These are single lashes that are glued on to your natural lashes, lasts several weeks and will not make your real lashes fall out. I have tried many salons and Thi at Bellerose absolutely has the magic touch. You can literally fall asleep when she is applying and removing these lashes. She is that good, so gentle with the application process. I have been to other salons since it was cheaper but I definitely got what I paid for, lashes that did not look natural, stay on for more than a week, and I was even told to "relax" because the last lady kept making me finch and uncomfortable. The 1st application is the initial investment and then you just come back for maintenance every 2 weeks are so. The space located close to Downtown Los Gatos is very cute, clean, and comfortable. If I could give Thi more than 5 stars I would! I came to her a few years back wanting to try eyelash extensions for the first time. I had talked to 4 separate people who had all coincidentally gone to Thi for their lashes as well and they RAVED about her. The thing that I love the most is there is no set "styles" of lashes that she does. She takes your own unique eye shape, size and personal preference and custom makes the perfect style for you. She did EXACTLY what I had envisioned and I couldn't have been happier! I had my lashes on for 8-9 months and felt it was time for a break, so I went back and she happily removed them for me. Now when people tell you that eyelash extensions ruin your natural lashes/make them fall out - they just aren't going to the right person. After almost a YEAR of consistent lash extensions, I had NO lash loss. For a month or so after removing them, they were slightly fragile and were hard to hold a curl, but they bounced back quick! I have recently just went back to Thi for a new set of lashes for my trip to Hawaii and again I couldn't be happier with the results. Thi is so sweet and amazing. She saved my poor lashes :( It was my first time getting eyelash extensions at some place in San Jose, and I immediately regretted it afterwards. They were really heavy and did NOT look natural at all-- which was something I was aiming for. They were ridiculously long and thick... Anyways, about a week later, I was speaking to a customer and commented on how gorgeous her lashes were and she recommended Thi to me. I needed to get my lashes removed anyways since my right eye was starting to get a bit swollen and irritated from the heavy lashes. Long story short, Thi told me that the previous lady put the lashes way too close to my eye which was irritating it (hence the swelling), AND the lady put way too many lashes on each natural eyelash. At the end, we saw that my eyelashes were ruined...they were short and so many had fallen out because of the heavy lashes. SO I got a new set from Thi and I LOVE THEM! They look so natural but gorgeous, and they're not heavy at all. She said my damaged lashes will grow back out and that when they do, she'll be able to do more with them (but they already look great!) She was quick, did a fabulous job, and I'll be visiting her a lot from now on ;) Her price is competitive, and although she's super busy she's still very accommodating with scheduling. I am {SO EXCITED} to get my lashes done again with Thi this weekend! She did my first ever lash extensions, a very conservative/natural look, and my life is forever changed and I'm going back for more va va voom. The process was so easy- completely painless- not uncomfortable at all- and the result looks so natural and beautiful. It's a trip not having to apply or remove mascara every night. I've only lost a couple of lashes the past week and a half and according to my husband who knows more about this than me (hehe), I'm losing at a slower rate than normal. I think it's a testament to both the strength of her product, and by following Thi's advice of using a q-tip to gently remove eye makeup, not using oil-based cleansers, and not getting my lashes wet for 24 hours. I'm now hooked, and I very much look forward to going back to Thi for my fills. It may be silly to add- but today I cried at work and was pleasantly surprised to see no black raccoon eyes afterwards, because duh, I'm not wearing mascara!
