Then didn't position my leg pillow so it was awkwardly by my feet which don't need to be elevated for a massage. The massage felt like someone pressing on me and rubbing their fingers all over me rather than a true massage. It was so close to feeling good, especially since I was sore from working out at the gym... but there wasn't enough pressure for it to actually make the time worthwhile to the point where I got impatient and wanted the massage to be over. There was a minute where I even thought it was turning sensual because the touch was so gentle... instead of relaxing I tried to come up with an escape plan When I was told to flip over, I realized it was super bright in the room - which isn't very relaxing - and I had to ask for the eye cover since I was squinting so hard. The eye cover was a rag... just not professional feeling. There's so many little things that made the ambience not so peaceful ... music kept cutting off and stopping, I could audibly hear her walking around because of the shoes she was wearing, when she told me to flip it was at a normal tone rather than a whisper which really created an uneasy ambience for me. At no point at all, by the way, asked me how the pressure was (like every other masseuse has ever asked). Sadly, I'm not done. I had to embarrassingly ask her to apply more pressure towards the end of the massage and she had the audacity to ask me to pay for a deep tissue next time ? Let me be so clear - I've been to at least 20 high end and average massage parlors and I always get Swedish. Sometimes, Swedish massages are even too much pressure for me and I request to go lighter. She continued to tell me that others ask her to put more pressure (so clearly, it's not just me who feels this way) but that they should too be requesting a deep tissue massage. Just get over yourself. It's truly like walking into a salon where an intern was working just to make some extra cash, not a true masseuse rewarding you with relaxing me-time.

After my first appointment, I intentionally started booking with other estheticians at this location, and those experiences were excellent. I never had any issues with pain or my skin. This time, I didn't realize I had been assigned to Emillee again. During the waxing, I repeatedly asked her to be gentler because the pain was unbearable, but she continued anyway. The experience was extremely painful, and afterward my skin developed blisters. I've had waxing done many times before, including by other staff at this location, and I've never experienced anything like this. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly commented that I had darker skin and darker hair. Those comments made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. I also noticed her adding something to the wax during the appointment, although I wasn't told what it was. In addition, wax was spilled on both the floor and the table, making the entire appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional. During the service, I told her how much pain I was in and warned that I would consider taking legal action if my skin was injured because I felt my concerns were being ignored. Despite that, the service continued without any noticeable adjustment. Overall, this was one of the worst waxing experiences I've ever had. Based on my experience, I would not book with Emillee again.
