This is another update to commend the efforts and care of the owner Joane. I can tell why she is so good at her job SHE CARES! I had suddenly ton's of acne too embrassed to even post some pics but I will! It just appeared out of nowwhere one day when I woke up and it was so awful I couldn't even feel confident to go out ,I didn't know what happened or how. I went to Joane and she helped me with some trial products, simple stuff, moisturizer, cleanser etc, and we tried that for 2 weeks, when that didn't work too well, she added glycolic acid wash, and lotion, and it started to clear! It took a good 1-2 months but I stuck with her routine and even did a facial with her. Now let me tell you about the facial! My goodness, this is heaven made in a room. It was relaxing, and thorough, she gives the best neck/shoulder massage, and she cleansed and nurtured my skin removing all the impurities, I think that also helped speeden the healing process. I ran out of a product and got stuck at home with little flexibility to go grab more and Joane drove to my house an delivered the products, this is a person that cares about her clients, she is expensive but she is not money hungry, you will pay happily whatever you need to because you know she is very fair and thoughtful. She is thoughtful, thorough and very knowledgeable. She asked me to either bring or take photos of the products I'm using and she's very honest about what to stick with while not even trying to upsell. Joanne is absolutely amazing! I have been struggling with eczema and have spent so much money on dermatologist-prescribed steroids, lotions, and countless other products that never worked long-term. I would give 10 stars if I could! Joanne runs quite the business out in Los Gatos. As you can see on her website, she has a wide range of services that she offers, all crafted with delicate care and consideration for what the customer needs. Shortly after contacting the business and explaining to her that I wanted to do something special for my girlfriends birthday, I decided on going with her gift basket service that she offers. She kept up to date with me during the entire process, was punctual on her delivery, and put special care into the basket. Overall, she was incredibly professional, considerate, and personable. I especially love that she took the time to learn about my girlfriends likes/dislikes while building the basket, resulting in a beautiful basket that my girlfriend was absolutely gushing over on her special day. We recently did a nano infusion and I feel like my skin has come back to life. I found this cute little spa in 2018 and have been a happy customer ever since! I usually visit Joanne for facials and the sculpt pod. I always trust Joanne with my skin and I want to tell you that I absolutely love her custom facials and skin recommendations. She really does make me glow and look youthful each time a get a facial treatment. The sculpt pod has been a game changer for me. It helped me tone up and shed weight within a month's time frame. You just have to space the sessions 2-4 days apart and stay hydrated to see results. The pod uses infrared technology along with lymphatic drainage massage simultaneously which helps accelerate full body detox. You basically get rid of toxins and fat from your body, helping you tone up and lose weight. I have used 10-12 sessions multiple times (especially when there is an event coming up). I have been going to the Village Spa ever since Joanne (the owner) first opened it up. I had also previously been her client at the other spas she worked at. I followed her here because she is just that good! I believe I started going to her when I was 14 and I am now 20! She does a wonderful job each time and my skin always feels super clean after, and the results are amazing. When I was 14 my face was filled with acne, but after each appointment my face got clearer and clearer and now I only get the occasional pimple (although the blackheads are never ending). Joanne is one of the friendliest people I know and she is really great at giving tips and advising you on what products to get and answers any questions you may have. Also the facials are always great and give you the results that you are expecting! There are also Missy and Kirsten who work there and I have had some appointments with them as well! Joanne is legit amazing - literally the best I've ever gone to. She uses two different types of wax, and is somehow both meticulous and fast, and my hair stays gone for 2 weeks at least, and somehow the waxing isn't painful either! She's also so warm and friendly, something I really appreciate during covid times. I'm a resident doctor and pretty much work 12-14 hours 6 days a week sometimes, so I don't have a lot of time (especially not for myself), and I wish I could go to her more, but when I do go it's very relaxing and time well spent. I would like to do a facial with her soon which sounds amazing and includes and foot scrub and hand massage and neck massage! I've been going to Village Spa for over a year now. A co-worker 10+ years older, has fabulous looking skin and so at 38 years old, I decided I was long overdue for a facial regimen and had to go where she has been going for years. I was a bit skeptical as facials in the past, just left me with broken out red skin. My first visit, was amazing. My facial was over an hour and half the price of other spas. My skin was glowing and felt amazing. I decided to make 2 additional appointments a month apart and see the results. After 3 facials in 3 months, I was sold and decided to book a facial every month for the rest of the year. Now 39 years young, I am often told that I look far closer to 30 than I do 40, which I absolutely love hearing =) I also had never had a wax, yet alone a Bazillion wax. I decided to go that route and they made it completely comfortable and pain free as possible. I had heard the first time, is pretty unbearable, but I was done in 30 minutes. Became sold on this treatment as well and add it to my facial each month now. In addition to Village Spa's fabulous treatments, I love that it is nestled in downtown Los Gatos. While it is a 45 minute drive from Redwood Shores, I don't mind when I know I can walk around the beautiful downtown before or after enjoying all of the specialty shops and restaurants available. I'm updating my review because Joanne put me on an incredible pre-wedding skin regimen and the world needs to know how good she is! :) My regular schedule here is to go once/month and because of my work schedule, I wouldn't be able to go more frequently than that in the 6 months leading up to my wedding. Joanne devised a regimen for my once monthly visits to add glycolic peels in varying strengths and I followed up at home by using glycolic products. The results are LEGIT. My skin is amaze-balls. Every bride gets a natural bridal glow but mine was exponentially more intense after this awesome regimen. The personnel at Village Spa are licensed, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun aestheticians. The facility is quiet, small, personal and very clean. Not like the shops that run you through like cattle or "take a number". You receive personal, focused attention to your needs and if you are interested in products your questions are answered but there are no sales spiels or pressure to purchase products. Another thing that I appreciate is that if the aestheticians are busy and I leave a message on the recorder, my call for an appointment is returned in a timely fashion. Bought a $50 Groupon for a wax service and took my 14 year old daughter for full leg waxing. Both their Groupon ad and their own web site (not to mention price list at the spa check in area) advertise price of $50 for full leg waxing. I was happy with the waxing service, but really surprised at their sudden up charge - person that did waxing insisted price was $60 and not $50... really??.... rather than argue I paid the difference and left a tip, but unfortunately they lost a customer.
