The room is very nice and clean with relaxing music playing in the background as well as nature sounds of water. The lights are dim to your level of comfort. You can remove as much or as little clothing as you like. I laid down on the comfortable table and waited for my masseuse. You can choose a male or female masseuse when you make your appointment. Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. It was so relaxing and therapeutic. I really liked my experience with Laura. She helped my back feel better which is a miracle. I will definitely be coming back here again for more services. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. She went above and beyond. Moon checked me in at the front desk and I was able to choose an essential oil scent from the large selection up front. She started off with taking me into the service room, instructing me to change into a robe and situating myself on the bed. She started off by cleansing my face, applying a warm towel, massaging my face and placed a face mask on. It was really a mini facial. She then proceeded to ask the pressure of how I wanted my head massage. She really did an amazing job massaging and had many different tools to help get a clean scrub of my scalp. The facial products were gentle and hair products had an invigorating, tingling sensation. She washed my hair two times, very thoroughly. She massaged my arms, neck, shoulders and legs while my hair was conditioning. She finished off washing my hair and blow drying. Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience from Start to Finish…read more My friend purchased a Groupon deal for a therapeutic massage for my birthday, and I was really looking forward to it. I haven't had a massage since I gave birth, and given how stressful things have been, I was excited to finally relax. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the very beginning. The woman at the front desk initially did not want to accept our vouchers. She called the manager, who then told us to cancel our Groupon vouchers and pay them directly instead. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since there is no guarantee that Groupon refunds go through right away and can take 3-5 business days to process. We declined, but they continued to push us to pay upfront even though we already had valid, prepaid vouchers ready to use. It wasn't until I said, "Are you saying we can't be seen today? Because we are not going to cancel our vouchers," that they finally agreed to take us back. During the massage, the two masseuses kept talking to each other and laughing. Instead of being in a calm, relaxing environment with peaceful music, it felt distracting and uncomfortable. The constant talking and laughter made me feel uneasy, and at times it even felt like we were being talked about. The situation got worse at checkout. We both left a tip, and when they asked how much we would be tipping, one of the masseuses said in her language to the other, "She's only tipping ____," and they both laughed. Then the other masseuse responded, "How about ____?" This felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Tipping should be based on the customer's discretion, not something that is commented on or suggested in that way. It is finally time for me to write a review on this place…read more A bit of background is that I've been dealing with an asthma flareup that has made it difficult for me to walk even a block without getting out of breathe. Before my flare up, I was at the gym regularly with pretty good cardio. A friend of mine suggested I go and try a session with her. I was admittedly pretty wary since I didn't see how sitting in a room of salt would make a difference. I went and after the session, I noticed I could walk and jog without issue. I was even able to get a good gym session in the next day! I've asked my pulmonologist about it and he said that it is indeed a thing and also offered me a corresponding medical treatment. With that and this, my breathing is slowly but sure improving overall rather than just spurts here and there. Avery, the owner, if friendly and knowledgeable about how each of her services work. You can call to book or schedule online. Either way works and it is super easy to do. The chairs are comfortable and you can lounge in them. There are also some yoga mats if you want to use those. You do need to bring clean socks (or you can buy a pair for $2!) to bring to each session. I have also used the individual booth sauna which has a setting to allow you to get salt inhalation too. You can use it as a sauna or, I can't handle heat so, you can have a low heat place to yourself. There is also a community room where you book a spot and you may share the room with others so be respectful! There are other services here too but since I've never used them, I won't give any opinion. Parking is plentiful here too. I definitely recommend this to people with health issues and those that just want to relax. There is a reason why back in the day doctors recommended going to the beach :P They might not have known the science behind the benefits but they knew! I really do recommend this and I do have about it to friends. :)
