I first got my lashes done with Thanh when I was looking for a trusted Bay Area lash artist in June 2021. I was scarred by a home lash artist and I felt like my lashes were short/weak and I had pulled out strays from a previous set (this is a big NO NO, don't be like me). Thanh did a fantastic job on my new set and they looked great for my birthday party. Definitely is that no makeup look. I started with hybrid lashes and transitioned to volume fills. I loved every single one of my sets and she is really the best in the game. Her sets look so natural, not fake mega lash - so don't expect that from her. My retention was pretty good only because I listened to her instructions on proper lash care and I religiously washed my lashes with her lash shampoo. Thanh's attitude and demeanor made me feel really comfortable and relaxed. She is very easy to talk to and she also gives you space if you just want to relax. I followed Thanh to Wink when it opened because I have always loved Thanh's work. She's thoughtful and consistent, and her work is so gentle that I fall asleep and wake up refreshed and relaxed, and to beautiful lashes! It's like spa day for my eyes! I had the most relaxing experience at Wink getting a lash lift. You sit in a super comfy chair, listen to calm music, and you're expected to just lay back as the service is happening (rather than some places where they may be chatting with you). The service was so relaxing, and I really appreciated the attention to detail and level of care. Thanh has been doing my eyelash extensions since January of this year. I naturally have very thin and light lashes and had never had extensions prior to seeing her and was hoping for something that looked natural while providing much-needed fullness. Thanh is an angel. I had her removed my extension which was done in a different salon. Accordingly, my extension was glued so closed to the skin which was not right (which is why I was feeling uncomfortable with the extension on) and it made the removal process not easy but she was very patient and kind throughout the process and gave me some tips/advice as well. She is very skilled at what she does, no crooked, overcrowded, too heavy, super-fake looking lash extensions here! I have very short, weak lashes and Thanh is always careful to use the right length for me and is meticulous in making sure to only glue extensions to the individual lash (this is a problem w lesser experienced/cheap lash salons). I first went to Thanh to get my lashes done a month before my wedding, and she was great!!! I'm super sensitive to a lot of Adhesive and have very sensitive skin and eyes, so she made sure to use sensitive glue to cater to my needs. I really liked the fact that she was very gentle and I felt very relaxed on her comfy recliner chair. She made sure to listen to what I wanted (which was very natural just to start off) that way I can get used to them... i'm very low maintenance... The second time I went to her it was a couple days before the wedding and this time I wanted something much fuller and it turned out exactly the way I wanted.
