We hired them to move from north mercer island to south mercer island to a house with a STEEP driveway. They called within the window, showed up on time and with the exception of smelling like sweat they were quite professional. The smell I can discount as they were very polite and summer is peak moving season. Our walnut furniture had to be moved around complicated stairs and they were quite helpful. During the move to a new house we found people online who were selling furniture that we wanted. We coordinated with the movers and they made two additional stops during the day and both of the homeowners commented about how quick and knowledgeable the movers were. We started around 4 PM having them move and I think we finished around 11:30 that night. Aside from the amount of time that it took to move which you don't realize how much stuff you accumulate we got them pizza because they were just so tired and we are happy to have them help. Again aside from a few small scratches on a piece of the woodwork that we have which I can buff out with some 300 grit sandpaper. Moving can be stressful if you'll ask anyone who is about to move or has moved , even if it's your first time of 100th time to move, it's still the same feeling, stressed, just looking for movers and emailing them is so stressful to begin with, not until I found Andrew and his company, we moved two weeks ago and I was on the hunt for the perfect movers and my price, here comes Andrew to the rescue , he's the type of guy that's very easy to talk to, he tells you up front how many hours, how many guys and the exact price down to the last cent that you will spend, Ive had experiences where in they said we will only spend this much but we were so surprised that they're so many hidden charges and we end of paying more than what we planned for and it wasn't even a good service. Update on 8/6/19: I'm changing the original 1 star to 3 for the amount of effort that the owner put into contacting us after the move. The owner and manager contacted the both of us and expressed their apologies. I was impressed that they didn't let this drop as they were consistent in reaching out to us. They wanted to make up for the experience and make it right for us. A couple of compensations were originally offered and we rejected both because 1) the workers still made the move for us and while one of the offers was very generous, we wanted to pay for the service regardless 2) we felt that both of our time lost on that day couldn't be compensated 3) we didn't agree with what was proposed. We did, however, accepted the owner's offer on the damage coverage for the wooden table and wine bar. The owner shared with us that they have since implemented a few changes to their practice and now uses additional blankets and protection for glass and wooden furniture/items. Any business that takes customer's experience and feedback seriously to turn into a growth opportunity is one that I can respect. Previous Review: This was the worst moving company we have ever used out of the 12 moves we've had in the past 13 years. We were told that movers would arrive between 8:30-9:30am when we first booked them. By 10am when no one had shown and no call update, we called to check on the status of the movers. We were then told that the movers ran into some issues with the previous move from the night before, so they were trying to finish up as soon as possible and our new time would be 12:30-1:30pm. We completely understood the situation and went about the day. By 2pm, still no movers, so we called again and tried to get updates. We had several back and forth phone calls with the owner before the movers finally showed up at 5pm. The owner was very apologetic and said he would make it up to us. Though irritated that the entire day went by and that we had to be the one calling for updates, we appreciated the owner's acknowledgement of the situation. The move ended up happening from 5-11pm. A few things were damaged during the move. They broke a large mirror that had to be tossed, a corner got completely scraped off from a handmade wooden table that was our anniversary gift, and the paint from the side of a dark wine bar got chipped. We haven't opened the boxes yet to check for any potential damage. We tipped the movers regardless as common courtesy and for working so late. The owner took off about $100 to compensate for the delay (or so we're told) and $120 for the damage of the large mirror with the total cost of $710. He was unwilling to negotiate further. We paid about this amount last time to move 23 miles from north to south with the movers on time and with no damage to our furniture. If it wasn't for how busy the other companies we've used in the past are, and this company being our last resort, I would not be here writing this review. Never again for us. Even with how long this review is and the time you've spent reading it, it won't be as long as the time you'll be waiting for Bellevue Movers to potdamage your stuff. read more

My first time hiring movers, I was a bit weary at first when searching online and hearing about some of the horrors that have occurred. I called these guys up they were extremely friendly and up front from the beginning. Prices were shown on their website and were comparatively cheaper than companies that required you to request for a quote. They were willing to work with me to find an arrangement that met my needs and schedule. During my move from the Greenlake area to Northgate, the 3 movers were extremely careful with all my furniture and boxes. They were very efficient and were extremely accommodating. I had not purchased a wardrobe box but they offered two to me for my move. Overall, it was as stress free as a move could be thanks to these guys. John and Simple Movers bent over backwards for me not once, but TWICE during my end-of-month move this weekend. First was a last minute apartment-to-house move on the last Saturday of this month. I called them the Thursday before after finding everyone else was booked solid for the weekend. John (the owner) answered right away, asked the basics of my move and then offered an estimate and time slot to move. They fit me in! With 3 days notice! Come Saturday, two polite and professional college aged guys showed up and emptied my studio apartment and junk-filled garage in about 1.5 hours. After transit and loading into my new place, the whole process took about 3.5 hours. I was their third job that day and they still worked quickly and tirelessly. Most importantly, everything arrived intact and without damage. Since I had a great experience with them for my apartment move, I called them again the following Monday to help me move a couch I had just purchased on Craigslist. I didn't expect them to be able to accommodate me, but they did gladly, despite having to work around both my schedule and the schedule of the person I bought the couch from (frustrating, I'm sure). Another crew of two friendly college aged kids hauled it into my place then plopped it in. Both moves were within the pre-agreed upon estimate/amount. There were no taxes or added on fees of any kind. Just one number with a dollar sign in front of it. Easy. So all-in-all, a very positive experience. Highly recommended! read more

TL;DR They didn't show up until the next day. They were kinda slow moving, but we did finish right at the 3 hour minimum. I was annoyed when I saw one of the movers texting/playing on their phone when they should have been working. On Saturday, I made an appointment over the phone for Wednesday between 8-9 AM. The night before, they called and asked if I had selected a moving company yet. They then informed me that they did not have me in their system for Wednesday between 8-9 AM, but they could fit my in between 2:30-4:30 PM. This was disappointing, because I had already taken the entire day off from work, and now we would not be getting started until late in the afternoon. On the day of the move, they kept calling to push the time back further and further. Eventually they told me they would not be able to come out until 7 PM, and asked if they could do the move the following day starting around 4:30 PM. When they showed up the next day, they helped me move, but they were not very fast. I was keeping a fast pace, but they would slowly walk from their truck back to my apartment, and I saw one of the movers stopped on the stairs texting/playing on their phone one time. Simple movers made the process, well, simple. I would definitely recommend them and will use them the next time I move. The rates were reasonable. I actually only ordered 2 guys and 3 showed up, due to their next move in the day needing 3. It was fast and efficient and they didn't charge me more per hour. However, they were also done an hour earlier than the minimum 3 hours, so I think it was a wash. Either way, time is money for me to get on with my day as well, so I was happy. My drivers were Andre, Serge, and Dennis. Good dudes. Hard workers. Careful with my stuff. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars was the appt scheduling. I called on a Friday for the following Wednesday. I was told to text my info and I would get someone to call back. That didn't happen until I got a text back late Sunday night. It was a little nerve racking that I didn't actually get a confirmed appt until the day before the move (Tuesday). I had backup plan in place. However, they showed up right in time and ready to work. Very satisfied with my one bedroom apartment move. Final cost was higher than original estimate but I was okay with that as I had a lot more to move than I initially estimated. The two movers were extremely professional and did everything I asked like make sure boxes went to certain places in the new apartment. Earlier: Good: The movers were fast and courteous. They also seemed to really enjoy working with each other. Cons: I was quoted for two movers ($85/hour). I was told there would be a flat travel charge and was not given the flat travel charge. Instead, I was given a total estimated quote of $360-460. The day of the move, they showed up with three movers for $115/hour. The move took a total of 2 hours. The total cost was $460 which was within the estimate quote, but it also means, the flat travel rate was $230. $230 dollars seems like a bit much for a local move. read more

Amazing service! They promptly arrived on time and were able to finish ahead of schedule. Took very good care of my things and were extremely efficient. Moved from a 1 bedroom in West Seattle to a 1 bedroom in East Queen Anne. I had a very long couch which wasn't able to fit through the door of my new place because the hallways were kind of tight. They got creative and were able to move the couch through the window. I highly recommend them! I liked that they were able to schedule me within a very short timeframe as well. Scheduled for 8-9 am wife was told that we were the first on the docket for the day. At 9 we were called and told that there was a technical difficulty and it would be closer to 9:30. At 9:45 we were called and told it would be between 12-1. At 1:30 I called and was told that the crew being sent to us was "the back up crew" and that they weren't done with their first place yet. Assuming they got to the first place at between 8-9 and they still aren't finished I am greatly concerned for multiple reasons. 1. Punctuality doesn't seem to be a great concern. 2. When they do arrive if the first move took that long the guys are bound to be tired and sluggish costing us even more 3. If they are tired they are less likely to be careful with our things which include heavy and valuable antiques. I was told to "be understanding" but while I am in general patient and understanding, I am very displeased. I will post another review once the job is done, IF the job gets done and modify the rating, but as of this moment my wife and I are both very displeased and dissatisfied. UPDATE: The movers have now arrived at 5:30. They quoted us the same price that was quoted prior to the multiple delays. When we attempted to call "John" it went straight to voicemail and they decided to laugh at my wife instead of offering a solution. They seem really nonchalant about being 9 hours late and have offered no apology. Thus far. They haven't actually moved anything yet. For now the one star rating remains. 2nd update: The crew turned out to be really great. John was kind of an ass to my wife on the phone but he cut 45 dollars plus the drive time off the price. Simple Movers are Life Savers!! I was scheduled for a move last Saturday with another company who called an hour before pick-up to say they weren't coming. I called John at Simple Movers and he said he would fit me in and could be there in a couple hours. John and Alex were running a little behind and they called to apologize and said they would get there as soon as possible. Understandable considering they were fitting me in...and it had begun raining on top of it. Upon arrival, they got in and got to work. Extremely professional, but still very personable and enjoyable to work with. They were very attentive to detail and caring for my belongings. It didn't take them much time at all to get everything in the truck and we were on our way. I have never lived in a high rise before, and my new apt is on the 4th floor of a larger building. They got it done. I was exhausted and I could tell they were too...but they kept the energy up and we actually had a great time getting everything done. They worked so hard and even though they had another job after me and could have taken the time to rest in between pick ups...they offered to help rearrange and unpack my things. At time of payment, they walked me down to the truck to look over everything and make sure I was satisfied. John and Alex are a great team and very hard workers. It was a pleasure working with them and they really did make a tough situation so much better. Hopefully I won't be moving any time soon...but when the time comes, they will be my first choice!! Two part review: first is in regards to my experience with another company that went sour and led me here: I initially had called Adams moving service (also found that via yelp) on Saturday and asked for Monday 6/15 but they were booked. I agreed to Tuesday 6/16 as move date at noon. Noon came around and no call or any update. So I called the company and they said they would call the mover and have him call me. 20 minutes later still no call so I call back and ask what's going on. I'm not trying to sit on my hands during my move date. The guy was very rude, not courteous and didn't seem to care for my business. Well you're not the only moving company around so I cancelled it out of principle. Don't appreciate my business you won't get it then. Thankfully I saw this company on yelp. I called at 1245 and not only was the guy who answered happy to have my business he said the movers could be there within an hour. 1:45 arrived and there they were ready to work on my 1 bedroom apartment move from Redmond to Bellevue. Total time took 3 hours and was VERY REASONABLY priced. Not only were the guys great and efficient but my cost was half of what that other company was gonna charge. I'm sure they are just as good based on their reviews, but I am sure glad I found this company! And someone called in the evening to check in on how everything went. I recently used Simple Movers for a move at the beginning of May. Not only did John and the crew have the basics down as the others have stated - punctuality, professionalism, accurate estimate/price, care of goods (undamaged of course), etc. - but they also went out of their way to accommodate my changing schedule. The plan was to move my things out of the old apartment on a Wednesday afternoon at 4pm, and into the new apartment the next morning at 8am. The day of my move (Wednesday), I was informed by my new landlord that the apartment would not be ready to move in during the scheduled time Thursday morning. I called John to negotiate a new time, fully expecting to have to pay a fee and not have my things delivered the next day. To my surprise, John was a PLEASURE to negotiate with, requesting very fair compensation since my things were in the truck and it would be out of service the next day until I could move into the apartment in the afternoon. On top that, John also wanted to ensure that the new apartment would pay for the expense rather than me, as the situation was out of my control. I can't express enough how much I appreciated this, after feeling totally out of control of the change from the landlord. I don't expect to move soon, but next time I do Simple Movers will be my first call. Thank you for the great service! read more

Moved from Redmond to Kirkland, they showed up pretty close to their stated time but traffic around then can be awful. Loaded the truck quickly and must be expert Tetris players because they fit all my stuff in a single truck. Very courteous and were careful to move everything into the new place with no damage. read more
