Sold my beautiful Marco Bicego gold necklace that's in excellent condition but that I don't wear enough anymore to keep. This necklace has served me well for many years and it's time for it to make someone else happy. The shop is across the street from Alderwood Mall and has easy parking out front. They buzz you in at the door. I made an appointment online the week before. I appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of the staff member that helped me. The amount I received for my necklace was a good, fair price. Received a check. The meeting from start to finish was about 10-15 minutes. All in all, I had a great experience here. Yesterday an opportunity arose to sell a unique item and they ran out of physical cash, resulting in me having to take a check, which will take two days two process. This didn't bode well for me as I wanted the cash on hand. Might want to consider posting this little detail on your website and or the door so that patrons don't waste their time. read more

This place is literally the worst. You stand outside and have to ring the doorbell to be buzzed in, no acknowledgment from the staff upon entry, you are just pointed to a kiosk where you have to give them your name, phone number and email, and then you'll have to wait for at least 30 minutes (on a good day) before you're called up, only to be lowballed when selling and having your face ripped off when buying. I recommend going down the street to The Coin Market or Northgate Rare Coin Shop! read more

Interesting. I called their Lynnwood store as I wanted to buy a Krugerrand and have it mounted with bezel and chain for a gift. The gent I spoke with said for me to give him my email, which I did, and he would get back with me regarding dollars. After waiting more than a week without hearing anything from them I called again today, 5/24/23. Spoke with Andrew this time and he stated he didn't have Krugerrands in stock and he would also have to order a bezel as well as the chain BUT if I wanted to see the coin alone I could drive to Issaquah where they had one. WHAT? Evidently somewhere I got the idea this was a rare coin store but I was sadly mistaken, and I sure as hell don't want to drive to Issaquah. So, bottom line is I can understand, due to variations, not having the bezel or chain in stock, but not having a Krugerrand in stock that I could buy today is totally unacceptable. I recently visited this Lynwood location and had the pleasure or interacting with Maddie for a jewelry appraisal . She helped me go through some hand me down gold and diamonds to determine the trade in value on an engagement Ring. I really appreciated her help in sorting through the jewelry that had value vs stuff that was not desired. In the end they are offering a wholesale price which I understand as they are a business that needs to mark up in order to resale so I had to take some time after the appraisal to make a decision on what to do. Maddie didn't pressure me to jump into anything and I really appreciated that as the jewelry had sentimental value and I didn't know what I was doing. One way or another I will be working with them in the near future but appreciated that during the interaction Maddie was not pushy or trying to take advantage of an uneducated customer. The store was very busy when I arrived for my 3:30 appointment. My appointment was honored once I made the staff aware that I had an appointment (after I was asked to wait outside because there were too many customers in the store). The door says no more than ten customers at a time, but the staff asks you to wait outside once seven are inside - they must count themselves as well in the count. My transaction was handled professionally, and with the utmost integrity and honesty. I was selling silver bars and thought I had ten (10) fewer than I actually did. Apparently two sheets were stuck together so closely that I did not notice. However, the staff member DID notice and informed me that he counted more than I said I had brought in. I was pleased. Two days later, not so pleased. I received a phone call that the BRC gave me was going to bounce, to please not deposit it. Unfortunately, I had already done so at a drive-up ATM the same day I received it. While still on the phone with the staff member who called me, Ilogged on to my bank's website, and sure enough, the money was gone from my account; it did in fact, get returned. I went back to the store today, received a replacement check, and was reimbursed for the fee for the returned check. The staff member in the store was very matter-of-fact about the situation, as if nothing really happened. The person who called me in the morning had apologized profusely. Mistakes happen and I live fairly close to the store, so it was no big deal for me to go back. If I lived farther away, I would have been upset. As long as the check doesn't get returned a second time, I will be satisfied. read more

I walked in with no appointment and they got with me within 5 minutes. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. They made me a good offer and I walked out with a check within 15 minutes. Absolute HORRIBLE customer service!! Will never go back and will tell everyone I know how horrible these people are. Walk in "Hi it's going to be a long wait so take a look around or have a seat!"... no "Do you have an appointment?" or anything. And I DID have an appointment. So I tell the guy at the counter and he says ok you'll be next then but it will still be a bit of a wait. What's the point of having an appointment if you still have to wait? So.... 45 minutes later a guy finally calls me over "I can get you started here but so-and-so will have to finish up with you when he gets back from break." . I said "Ok, well hopefully it's not going to be much longer as it's already 45 minutes past my appointment time" to which he replies "Ok then! You can just wait for him to get back then!" storms off and slams the door going into the back room. I have NEVER been treated so RUDELY at a place that should know what customer service is. I came into the Lynnwood office. I was kind of skeptical about going here. I had heard mixed reviews. When I walked in, Chandler Holbrook greeted me with a smile, and right away made me feel comfortable. I had lots of questions, which he kindly answered. He was very thorough, and I felt like he was giving me solid information. He was a total professional. I left with a stack of cash. Came in to sell a ring that consisted of gold, diamonds and amethyst. While the clerk was reviewing the ring, she asked some personal questions like how did I obtain the ring, where was it bought from, etc. After verifying that all aspects of the ring were legit, she offered an amount that I didn't think was fair, considering that another pawn shop offered me more just based on the gold and diamonds. She had the equipment and verified that the large amethyst was genuine and had no flaws. I told her what the other shop offered, and she wouldn't budge so I took my business elsewhere. Staff are only marginally knowledgeable. Same story with The Bellevue location. Are not willing to educate the customer or answer questions. The feeling I get when talking with the staff is that you could substitute neck ties, socks or coffee in for gold, silver etc. There is nothing special or particularly insightful regarding their knowledge, expertise and customer service. The value in going to a local , physical store should be trust, education, knowledge, special insight and customer service. So with the absence of these why not just go online? UPDATE (August 2019): Spoke with Angel on the phone, (she called me, most likely after the others I spoke with sensed my frustration), she seamed way more eager, than the others I had previously spoken with, to educate and discuss the market advantages of owning gold and silver, as well as provide her insights into the many differences and types of ownership. I have tried selling some jewelry on eBay and without luck, kept the jewelry in a jewelry box. I have had so much jewelry that I have never worn or haven't in ages. I've wanted to get rid of it, but didn't know how, outside of Ebay. Then, I found Bellevue Rare Coins. When I walked in, I wasn't sure of my decision since customers there were only shopping for coins. Go figure, it's in their name. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when it was my turn. I was treated with a ton of respect and it wasn't off-putting that I wasn't selling coins. The associate was delicate with my jewelry and was pleasant to talk with. There were three associates there and I had a great flowing conversation with all of them. I felt like I could be friends with any of them. Back to the jewelry. The associate helping me made sure several times that I was ok with selling the jewelry. With the couple of pieces that I decided not to sell, he was super understanding. There was zero pressure to sell. He even asked about certain pieces and if I felt that I would wear any (trying to make sure that I was ok with the sale). On three separate occasions I've gone to Bellevue rare coins to either sell or buy coins. The last time I went there the customer service professional was not professional. I had some of my coins graded and when I got them back I brought them into Bellevue Rare coins and they offered me not even a fraction of what they were worth. I went down the road and sold them for what they were worth to a reputable coin store. Also the guy was very unprofessional very rude and treated me and my wife terribly. He ignored my wife and was probably the worst customer service representative I've ever dealt with. And that was only on one occasion this happens every time I've gone in there. I will not go to that store ever again and I suggest that you go find somewhere else to go to because they are awful. Do your homework before you go in there because they will rip you off every chance they get. read more

I had originally scheduled an appointment with Bellevue Rare Coins - however my previous appointment was finished earlier -so I arrived earlier - I was asked to wait. I waited about 10 minutes in the lobby; helped myself to some coffee and browsed the store. Steve called me over and asked me what I needed. I told him I had received some jewelry from a deceased aunt - I would never wear the items - so I had decided to sell them. He reviewed and inspected the items. One of the rings I had considered repairing - however after inspection Steve determined that it would be cost prohibitive to repair it. I decided to sell all four pieces. I bought gold bullion from the Lynnwood store. I was told that they did not have the amount in stock and they would have to order it. I was given an estimated delivery date of several weeks and told that usually it arrives sooner. That date came and went and I made numerous attempts to contact the store. Most of the time a recording would come on saying they were unavailable to answer the phone and to leave a message. I left messages and did not receive return calls. Sometimes I was unable to leave a message as the mailbox was full. About a week after expected delivery date I called and was redirected to the Tacoma store. They said the good news was that my order was in, but it was at the Tacoma store and that I could drive down there and pick it up if I wanted, otherwise they could probably have it to Lynnwood the following week, (what?) and that I would get a phone call when it was available in Lynnwood. The following week came and went and no phone call. I called again and was told my order was in. I went to pick it up and expressed my displeasure of the difficulty I had in contacting them and the time lines involved. As for not being given a notification of product arrival, I was given the excuse that there was a glitch in their system and that they didn't have my phone number to call me. Ever hear of Google? I did get the product I ordered, but I would not recommend anyone do business with them based on their lack of concern for me as a customer. read more

I went in with my father to sell some of the coins my mother purchased at commemorative gallery auctions. Angel was very nice about coming out to my vehicle to look at the boxes of coins before I had to bring them in and went over my file of what was in the boxes. That helped figure out what was of higher value and what was just face value coins. Angel took the time to explain to my dad what was of higher value in some of the collections and why the other coins with them were of less value. We still have more to go through and will be sure to come to this location again. Took my ring here to get re-shanked and they were able to fix it about 2 months ago. Metal bar for the shank began to crack again and I dropped it off on a weekend - assured I would get a call on Monday to confirm pick up date Didn't get a call on Monday and had to follow up another weekend with no ETA.
