I never thought I'd be walking into a pawn shop to buy a TV, especially for Valentine's Day. My mom specifically asked me to check out Cash America next door to her nail salon. I'll be honest--I had zero expectations and was secretly wondering why she didn't just want a TV from Costco like a normal person. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how helpful the staff was. Cole, Adam, Anthony, and Emily were all incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and honest to a fault. They answered every question I had without any pressure and took the time to make sure I understood exactly what I was getting. After doing my own research, I was shocked to find out the 67" TV I bought was priced at just $250 -- that's a full $200 cheaper than both Costco and Amazon. The quality looked excellent, and the price was unbeatable. I left the store extremely impressed. I now completely trust the employees, the value of the items they sell, and especially their 30-day return policy with no issues. This won't be my last visit -- I'll definitely be coming back to Cash America for future purchases. If you're on the fence about shopping at a pawn store, do yourself a favor and give this location a try. You might be just as pleasantly surprised as I was! read more

The manager is lazy. She has been moved to at least TWO different locations. She uses the equipment to test jewelry. My husband dealt with this woman in TWO different stores and she turned him away. My husband went to a different store each time and finally got our jewelry accepted. How is this possible. She is known in Cash America for her laziness and refusing to examine or inspect the equipment. She refuses to take responsibility for anything and acts as though she has no responsibility as a manager to go above and beyond. Don't wast your time here. read more

The manager or whoever she thinks she is decided to ask us to leave because my 3 year old was tapping on a drum set full of dents and scratches just 3-5 minutes after entering the door. I pawned an item here and called to see if it could be held, I'm out of town due to a loss in the family, and they were rude to me. I tried to come in the day it was due last minute to pick it up and the assistant manager Jason was INCREDIBLY rude to me. A very good selection of used electronic equipment like stereos, computers, monitors and video games. I never need to repair much, but they have tools and other amenities for cheaper than new, and they also pay pretty decent for your valuables on loan or outright purchase. They also have a good selection of used DVD's for the price of red box, you could own them by buying them here rather than returning them. Used monitors between $20 and $70, TV's from $100 to $300 that are pretty decent. I'm not sure about the warranty, though, you'll have to ask. Seven days at least, though. read more

Wore them and was going to sell them and i took them to a resell store and was told they were fake, took them to 2 other stores and was tolds the same thing. I bought these at a high price which pisses me off but what can you right!! I have been looking for a certain make and model of paint sprayer,we'll it just so happens that this very make and model was at the Kenmore store. I went in and talked price with the manager,unfortunately for me it was about $300 out of my price range. So after visiting the store on multiple days and occasions Simon the manager and I squared off over the price,lol. The end result??? I brought in a little more money and he came down little on his price, A GREAT COMPROMISE! The good news is I drove away with a paint sprayer that will last for years to come and the manager earned an absolute return customer. Pawn shops are kind of a unique business, as a customer I need to remember that they are a business that's there to make money as well as try to keep me happy, that's a very fine line and not an easy one! They have a decent selection of stuff, but it's all overpriced. The tools are priced at or above what you could buy new gear for. The staff will barely give you the time of day and they get offended if you want to bargain on price. All in all not a great place. Customer Service here is OUTSTANDING! I am not only a huge fan of Cash America and they're wide range of beautiful jewelry, guitars and Laptops (because I am a woman with grand and lovely taste) I am even more of a FAN of Walter and his prompt attention and smiles. I use to go to the Cash America on 128th in Everett but after buying 2 laptops through that store I noticed the quality of Customer Service went down when Management changed. This is the very last time I will ever go into any cash America ever. Just walk into the Kenmore location with my 2 small children to do some shopping when and old man stopped right in front of me and demanded I take my hoodie off. I told him no because I'm cold, AS IT ALWAYS IS IN SEATTLE, and he said he would call the police if I didn't. He said it was company policy which is BULL because I am a frequent customer of MANY Cash America locations and have never been asked to take my hood off. Went into this location to get a loan on a guitar and was refused because my ID was a valid US passport! Clerk claimed ID needed to include descriptions like height/weight eye color etc. which a passport does not include. I have pawned this exact guitar with this exact passport at 20 different pawn shops in 5 or 6 different states and have never been refused before for this or any other reason! I have been here at this location a few times and was not satisfied in many different aspects. The employees more often than not are rude, and make it seem like you are inconviencing them especially one lady specifically I have had to deal with a few times and she handled a very expensive torque wrench of mine without any care. If you know anything about this precision tool you really have to handle them with care and they break easily if not. I was very worried about how my items would be handled and taken care of here so I don't recommend loaning items here ever. if your selling items here that's okay but only if you don't mind getting a very low price for your items. They tell you less than half the price they actually can do for you. The only way to get the price you are initialed to, you really have to argue and barter with them while really putting your foot down other wise they will let you leave with much less than you should of gotten. The store has a variety of items for sale, and it depends on the item if it is priced right or not. You really have to inspect the item to make sure it is worth how much they are asking. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place any stars is because it looks like they have a good stock of electronics and tools for sale. If you're going to sell anything, I would not recommend this place. I would specifically recommend NOT speaking with Curtis. He seems nice at first but he is the kind of person that will snuff you at the first chance he gets. I didn't have the remote for the tv I wanted to sell and didn't have time to get it from home before they closed. He said I could only pawn the item without the remote. He then stated that I would have to take the tv with me because I could not leave the item un-sold until the next morning. I told him I would not be bringing the tv back if I had to take it out of there because it was hard to put in my car. I was told it was best if I just take the tv and leave that he would not pawn it because I stated I would like to sell it. I have frequented several Cash America locations, and today, after stopping by the Kenmore location, and receiving excellent customer service from the manager, I decided to take time out and show my appreciation. Walter, the manager, made me feel welcome as a customer, addressed my questions, providing detailed, thorough information in a professional and friendly manner. In my opinion, this location seems to stand out from the rest with its clean and will organized appearance, and all of the representatives displayed a kind and friendly demeanor. I googled the store to get directions, but was in a frenzy due to work, when arriving at the store, I also expressed to this manager I was in a hurry, this manager went above and beyond assisting me with a smile, and, as a result I was able to do business there and make it to work on time.
