And this one stood out right away. Light to medium-bodied, led by bright cherry notes with a subtle hint of spice, and a smooth, easy finish that keeps you going back for another sip. Balanced, elegant, and just bold enough without feeling heavy. Definitely a bottle worth savoring.

It was such a nice way to unwind and honestly made for a really fun date with my fiancé. Elisa was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, and we had so much fun learning about everything we were tasting. We got to try some of their newer releases, which was such a fun part of the experience. The Viognier was definitely my top favorite. I loved it so much that I ended up getting an extra splash at the end, which was so kind of them! The Cinsault was interesting because we were told to expect cherry, Jolly Rancher, juicy and fresh flavors, but for us it came across a little more bitter and dry than we expected. The Grenache reminded us a lot of the Block 9 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon, if you've ever tried that one. We also got the charcuterie board to snack on while we tasted. The grapes were especially crispy and fresh, and it was nice to have something to nibble on, especially because I was so hungry by the time we arrived! I had read some of the previous reviews about the board, so I came in with fairly low expectations. It definitely wasn't the most elaborate charcuterie board I've ever had and probably wouldn't be something I'd order again for $20. It felt more like a pre made snack box than something especially memorable. We still completely finished it, though! The space itself is so cute and beautifully designed. We happened to go on a sunny day and the natural light coming through the windows made it feel especially bright and inviting. It was comfortable inside and never felt too hot or too cold. I also love that Sama Cellars is right in the heart of Redmond Town Center, so it's really easy to make an afternoon out of it. There are so many shops and things to do nearby that you can easily browse around before or after your tasting. Overall, we had such a lovely afternoon. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and it was genuinely just a really enjoyable experience. I'd definitely come back to Sama Cellars for another afternoon of wine tasting!

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.

The space is huge, but the service was remarkably slow. There was no one at the front to greet us when we walked in, and the bakery counter was left unattended for a while, leaving customers waiting. While our specific server was kind, the overall vibe from the staff wasn't very welcoming. As for the food, my husband had the steak burrito. It was large and tasted okay, but it wasn't anything special--just an ordinary burrito you could get anywhere. I ordered the rockfish tacos, which were disappointing. The tortillas were too thick and crumbled so easily that I couldn't even pick them up to eat. Worse, the fish had a noticeable fishy smell, making me question its freshness, though the overall flavor profile was decent. Ironically, the best part of the meal was the creamy corn served on the side. The atmosphere is more of a spacious, warehouse style rather than cozy, though it is interesting to be able to see into the catering kitchen. It's sad to see a place that used to be so great lose its touch. I hope they can bring back the quality they used to have.
