    Worst service ever. Showed up late, started late and left half of our stuff for us to get moved and still charged price of full move. I ha d RSVPd for three movers and two showed up. The "lead" put one box in 45 minutes on the truck. And told me when the third person never showed he could move the items but they would charge me more. WHAT? Because I didn't agree to pay more he said they had to do a "hard stop" to get to the next move. I included 2 of the 4 rooms they just left my items. I had to pay another company for an emergency move.

    A stress-free move day is just a few clicks away"....or so they said. Bellhop promises: "We've got you covered with easier-than-ever booking, flexible service options, friendly and experienced movers, competitive pricing, and the industry's best customer support." It sounded too good to be true...and it was. 1) I ordered packing materials for my 3-bedroom home and they sent only enough supplies for a 1-bedroom. And refused to refund me. They've repeatedly tried to gaslight me that I misordered but I have my receipt. 2) I contracted for 6 packers for 6 hours. Only 2 packers showed up and they were obviously inexperienced and uncomfortable packing any dishes/glassware. 3) I contracted for 2 trucks. Only 1 showed and they're still making me pay for both. 4) I contracted 4 movers for 6 hours. They took a 90-minute break because they were tired and then refused to work past the 6 hours so my husband and I had to take an additional day off work to finish the move load by load in our Prius. 5) I've talked to customer service upwards of 20 times since my initial booking. Their customer service is outsourced offshore and useless. They are just there to apologize but can't actually help real-time (like when labor or trucks don't show). I've spent more hours than I care to count talking to well-meaning reps who have no ability to provide any customer service. While I love the promise of using technology to enable more efficient matching of labor to demand, Bellhop has obviously spent the bulk of its time building its promise than actually building out its service.

    WARNING, BUYER BEWARE!!! (Bellhop Moving Company, and/or via Offerpad "Free Local Move Service")... I recently sold my home in Forsyth county to Offerpad. Offerpad provided a "free local move" for using their service, which they contract out to Bellhop moving. I only used this service to get my furniture and items from the house down into the U-Haul Boxes pod-like containers I rented. The movers arrived, a group of young men in their late teens or early 20's I imagine, who seem to have been sub-contracted by Bellhop moving. They got most of the items wrapped and moved out in an orderly fashion, but on the last container issues arose. #1) They did not wrap nor put available moving blankets over or around the two bedframes that went into this pod, leaving them exposed to damages. #2) (Most important), the group did not have an appliance dolly with them and so they attempted to move the Kenmore Elite refrigerator by hand. They dropped it several times, dragged it and scratched it, left dents into it. It hit the face of one of them when they dropped it, and left a gash in the finger of another a second time it was dropped. By the time they got it into the pod it was severely scratched on both sides, with dents on the front stainless steel frame. Bellhop made the matter worse! I took pictures once I noticed that this wasn't going well (see attached) and later on with assistance I removed items to get better pictures of the fridge. I submitted a claim about the damages to Bellhop ASAP. They came back ONLY offering me $150.00 for the fridge, because their policy is $0.60 on the pound for damages. Of course, this base policy is ridiculous for a multitude of reasons! A) I was not offered extended coverage, told about extended coverage, or offered movers insurance because I was not the customer (Offerpad was). B) $0.60 per pound means that they do not take into consideration items inherent value based on craftsmanship, quality of materials, technology, etc. Or essentially, they do not base recovery on an items MSRP or cost to replace. I naturally complained about being offered this amount, and was offered an additional $150 ($300 total) as Goodwill compensation, likely because I had submitted a claim to the BBB by that time and they were getting involved. They refused to budge on this amount, and to make matters worse their claims process indicates that you either accept their terms within 2 business days or risk forfeiting your claim entirely... Otherwise if you don't accept their claim within 2 days then you lose the meager/nominal compensation that they are offering you entirely. The response from their marketing team via the BBB's services was essentially 'We are sorry this inconvenienced you, but we are sticking to our policy and not reimbursing you more. Too bad, so sad that you lost your fridge' (see exact response below) I certainly hope that no one loses a TV, or has expensive jewelry damaged in a move, because at $0.60 per pound you are going to lose out! I've pasted their responses in email as well as thru the BBB as well for reference. Please don't make the mistake I did. You may choose to either forego Offerpad if the free move through Bellhop is a point of consideration, or ensure that you read the fine print and purchase your own extended coverage or movers insurance because they aren't going to tell you about it if you aren't the paying customer!

    UPDATE  SO TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY...THIS COULD BE YOUR TV's.

    So this is my follow up to what the movers have done to my electronics. But yet in the claim that I filed, I was only offered $99.00. I don't know what they think I can do with that, and from what I am told, the claim is about the weight of the furniture/appliances that is damaged. I was asked if my TV was boxed and I did say no, but with that said, a mover would be smart enough to make sure my valuables would be protected. That was a total failure. NEVER AGAIN AND I AM NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!!

    If it was possible to give a negative star, then I would. DO NOT under any circumstance use this company. After reserving our move date weeks in advance, paying the deposit and having the total move cost held on our card, they cancelled the same day of the move. According to the contract if I did the same, I would be charge 10% of the total move cost, lose my deposit and also have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. They say they are the official moving company of Home Depot. Home Depot should reconsider their partnership. Now we are paying for last minute movers while we wait 7-10 business days for a refund for services not received. DO NOT USE BELLHOP MOVING!

    Absolutely the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. No experience, no leadership. From the minute this 3 man crew hit the ground it was a disaster. Due to the lack of proper moving equipment they slid the bedroom dresser across the hardwood floors scraping the entire length of family room. The truck was packed so poorly that they had to leave many items behind. When questioned on why they did not get everything they became argumentative saying they were only booked for four hours. We did book four hours at Bellhops recommendation for a three man crew, but the crew leader was worthless and did very little to help. DO NOT HIRE BELLHOPS all you are getting is unskilled labor with zero experience. A week later we are still finding damage to our furniture.

When their estimate came in (5 movers, 3 trucks and 7 hours) we thought that seemed a bit much but we deferred to their experience. I am giving them 2 stars because they did arrive on time, they generally protected our furniture and homes, The team leader was polite enough and the initial customer service was good - up until moving day. Things we had problems with: 1) The 5 movers were very disorganized and inefficient. This meant they couldn't load all the furniture we requested and during unloading they still went more than 2 hours past their own unloading estimate. When my husband found items in incorrect rooms, they failed to put them in correct rooms, despite repeated requests. We are still finding clearly labeled boxes and furniture in the wrong rooms. 2) The movers used my husband's tools without his permission and still did not assemble the items they were using the tools on correctly. 3) The amount of truck space was mis-estimated. The second truck had barely anything in it. Perhaps because they didn't load all they said they would, but that second truck was expensive. 4) Despite expressing concerns they damaged several items and dented our basement ceiling. 5) And finally, I reached out to them 3 times to try to resolve the issues. Each time they set up a call, which I rearranged my work schedule to take, and then ghosted me. We delayed finishing our move almost 2 weeks because we hoped they would make things right, but they failed repeatedly to communicate. In the end, after paying them over $3k for an incomplete move, my husband and I still had to rent a uhaul to finish our move. I will never use their services again and I recommend you don't either.

We did a ton of research and decided on Reign as it was more expensive than other options so we figured would be higher quality. They also had all 5 star reviews so we figured it would be the best. We are now wondering why this is. They are definitely more expensive. They charge more per hour and they also charge a $350 'truck fee' that no one else charges from quotes we got. We were charged over $1700 for 5 hours. What we liked- - It was easy to schedule and they had our date available a few weeks out. They offered to set up a FaceTime to look at our items and make sure they sent out the appropriate number of trucks. - They gave us an hour window of when they would show up, and an update the morning of so we knew when to expect them. - They were nice and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted. We did one last walk through of the old place before we left. They made sure we were happy before they left the new place. We had 3 movers who were kind and seemed trustworthy. - They listened to the writing on the boxes of where to put the boxes in the new house and if it didn't have writing, they put it in the equivalent room in the new house of where they found it in the old house. - They were careful with our things and were able to unassemble and reassemble our pieces. They also wrapped up the furniture items with blankets to preserve them. - They worked quick and efficiently Why we aren't giving them 5 stars: - they stopped at the gas station between the old house and new house and arrived at the new house 30 minutes after us when we were right behind them the whole way up until the gas station. They did ask us if they could stop to get snacks but I didn't realize it would take this long and they did not deduct this from the time they billed us for. - They asked us if we wanted mattress bags for $15 each. I said yes as I figured this would be something we could keep and save for future moves. They did not leave us the bags. So we paid $30 to basically 'rent' 2 bags which I feel we should have been able to keep or not be charged for. Next time I will buy the $15 ones off Amazon that I can keep. - They took a shelf out of our entertainment stand. In the move the nails/pegs fell out. These are specialty nails to hold the shelf in. Now we are unable to use the shelf, and the piece sags without the shelf in. We have since gotten rid of it and gotten a new one. - The top of our desk will not fit properly on when this was never previously an issue and we ultimately can't fix it and will need to get a new one. - They were about to leave and I noticed something was missing so I asked about it and they had to go back on the truck to get it. If I didn't ask, they would've left with it still in the truck. - They did not deliver 2 small decorative pieces of ours that were the last items on the truck- not packed in a box. Which not a huge deal but I noticed shortly after they left, contacted the company, and they were not able to find them. We are completely unpacked and I know these things are not at either of our houses. ** which they did reimburse us for these things which we are thankful for!! Also customer service was very helpful at first when we were trying to find these items and discuss reimbursement, but then it was pretty hard to get ahold of them to confirm our reimbursement agreement and get them paid. It felt like I was tracking them down just to get our reimbursement approved and get them paid. We will likely use a different company next time we move.
