Market has some American items but tons of Russian and European groceries too! My mom use to come here with her Russian gf and wanted to go back for some of the deli cuts. I wasn't interested in anything from the deli. But the bakery areas caught my eye! Picked up 2 items. I only remembered the one is called an Italian Napoleon dessert which has layers of flaky puff pastry and vanilla cream pastry. One of the nearby patrons recommended it to me. I didn't love it cuz I like sweet and this pastry was not at all. The other item was delish with layers of cake, cream and had a thin layer of something fruity.

My dad raves about Bell's Market and has been going here for years. We finally went together around noon and it was crazy in there! First off, just finding parking was an adventure as the parking lot isn't huge for all the stores and then there are so many people going to the market. Once inside, people had their carts filled to the brim with Easter preparations. Our first stop was the pickle bar and we picked up some pickles and a few salads and eggplant rolls. They weight it all my the pound. We then ventured over to the candy aisle and picked up some Russian cookies before making our way to the next counter and ordered potato pancakes and friend cauliflower. You could go crazy in here with wanting to sample all their food! Everything looks so good. We finally ended at the bakery and picked up a Babka for Easter dinner. My uncle also grabbed some sort of bread that had just come out of the oven and was still hot. It was filled with mozzarella and feta cheese. Once we got into the parking lot, we all tried that bread and it was incredible! Overall, everything is delicious from here and very affordable. It's fun trying new foods and I can't wait to come back again.

I look forward to coming here on weekends. I used to go to places like Shoprite, Aldi....we know them all. Nothing quite adds up to this grocery store. Yes, this is a Russian store but that's the allure. The prices are great and sometimes better than the average grocery store. Produce is fresh and in abundance. They have a Pickle Bar. Don't just think about pickles; think about everything you can pickle like Kimchi, Seaweed, Salad, Cabbage, and much more. My favorite part of the market is probably the Deli and Bakery. All baked goods are fresh. You can find a variety of sweet and savory items. They make Blintzes, Donuts, Breads, Rolls, Croissants, Cakes...the works. The down side to this awesomeness is popularity. Get here early. Crowds are horrendous and the parking lot is a war zone. Come ready for battle.

The taste of everything I've ever purchased from here is easily 5 star! Bell's Market is a Russian grocery store in a shopping center in the NE known as Bell's Corner. They offer foods indigenous to the Eastern European region, and most packaged foods strictly have Russian labels. Don't let that deter you if that's not your language. I sometimes venture out and try some packaged foods, but mostly I stick to prepared food and the bakery only. And for that alone, I absolutely love this place!! This place makes life easy for this Mama who cooks three different meals a night sometimes! (Vegetarian kids, vegan mom, carnivore hubs=OY!) Not only can I grab some easy sides for the kiddos for the week such as potato pancakes, pierogis, and mashed potatoes, I grab hubs chicken, salmon he adores and fish filets for his entrees. I always pick up a 1/2 lb of marinated shiitake mix. I top his chicken with them and some melted provolone and I mix them into cheesesteaks I make for him. I get them all blintzes too. Potato and cheese for them, mushroom for him. They say they're fantastic! Large and cheap too! I on the other hand LOOOOOVE their salads, prepared veggies, and cooked healthy grains! These are a few of my favorites: -Eggplant roll with walnuts (very similar taste to an eggplant salad I order at a local Uzbek restaurant) -avocado, cucumber salad -Israeli cous cous with cucumber and tomatoes. -Greek salad -Harvest salad -grilled veggies -The best cucumber salad with so much dill and vinegar! YUM! -kasha with mushrooms. -bulgur wheat -summer salad, which is cabbage and cucumber. -Russian eggplant spread ....just to name a few! You really can't go wrong with any salad. They always offer at least three to sample on the counter too! There's sections both in the front and back of house with theses items. Go to both. They offer slightly different foods! They're heavy on the eggplant here which is great because I have yet to master the art of cooking that purple beauty. The tags do not list the ingredients, but the women behind the counter know exactly what's in each dish. Just ask! Some that look like they are in oil are actually in vinegar, which is better for the calorie conscious so don't shy away if you think it's oil! Ask! The breads are not to be missed! Holy crap they are amazing!! And cheap!!! Grab some! Huge bagels, flaky croissants, the round bread is delish and what will look familiar to you if you frequent any of the Eastern European restaurants in the area. The pumpkin seeded roll is to die for! Definitely my favorite baked item here! Hubs says the cakes however are just "good". They are very impressive looking though! Take a peek! He's tried the eclairs, tiramisu and walnut cake so far. While the women at prepared foods section have always been sweet, the cashier aren't the friendliest and expect for not everyone to understand you. They give senior discounts everyday of the week except for Saturdays. *Watch out in the parking lot! Crazy drivers in there!! Store & cashiers-3 Prepared Food and breads-5 star all the way!

Love Bell's market. The fresh vegetables and fruits are much cheaper here compared to other grocery stores. They always carry a wide selection of cakes and my personal favorite is Napoleon cake.

Eggplant/walnut roll, a potato/ beef latke, a mushroom/eggplant roll, and magic carrot salad. All delish, all for under 5 bucks.

I am filing a complaint against the cashier--a young black woman with long hair who treated me rudely, resulting in a terrible shopping experience. Here is what happened: When I was paying by credit card, the first attempt was declined, but the second went through. I just said, "Approved." The cashier rudely shouted at me, "I heard!" Instead of processing the transaction immediately, she made me wait and wait, while she chatted with a young girl behind me in line. After I said, "Bad attitude," she shouted, "FUCK YOU!" I answer her, "FUCK YOU! I will complain about you!" She then grabbed my receipt and refused to hand it over; I had to demand its return before she finally gave it to me. She was extremely rude, mean and unfriendly toward Asian customers, discriminated against Asian female customers, she also processed transactions very slowly, keeping customers waiting. I hope Giant takes this matter seriously. We are members and loyal customers who have shopped there weekly since the store opened, yet this is the first time I have ever been treated so rudely.

Another reviewer mentioned and it is correct to save your receipt and scan it to get free parking otherwise my hour and a half visit would have run me 24.00 The store is clean. The layout easy to navigate. Pricing is more than fair. I got an amazing deal on seafood. Crab legs 11.99 lb, colossal tiger shrimp 9.99 for a bag of 12. Very nice. Guys at the deli counter were super friendly. Last note, I would avoid like the plague around 3:00 pm. I knew it was a mistake when I'd done it but my shopping companion who's a non driver was having a fit. Way too many schools in the area means massive throngs of children and traffic bottlenecks. Open until 10 pm so go early or after the kids have gone home.

I think of it more as a…read moreneighborhood market than a traditional supermarket, a place where you can quickly pick up what you need and be on your way without feeling overwhelmed. Its smaller footprint, especially for this location, works in its favor. The store is bright, clean, and well-organized, which immediately elevates the experience. The lively music, upbeat energy, and beautiful packaging create a fun, almost "adult amusement park" atmosphere. Even when it's busy, and the lines look long, they move quickly and efficiently. I usually walk, but there's a parking lot behind the store and street parking nearby when needed. What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are consistently warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. If you ask about an item, they walk you right to it, and they never seem bothered if you interrupt while they're stocking shelves. I also appreciate the team's continuity. Over time, you start to recognize familiar faces, and I've met crew members who transferred here from places like Oakland and Charleston, which speaks to a strong internal culture and mobility within the company. Just being in the store lifts my spirits. Another standout is the curated selection. Trader Joe's carries a fraction of the SKUs you'd find in a typical grocery store, about one-tenth as many, and that dramatically reduces decision fatigue. Instead of comparing endless versions of the same product, you can trust that what's on the shelf is a good choice. It makes shopping faster, easier, and far more enjoyable. Prices are competitive, and the quality is strong across the board. The meat and fish are generally fresh, the produce is reliable, and while I occasionally try something that's just average, the overall hit rate is excellent. The rotating seasonal items add a festive, timely element that makes each visit feel a little different and always fun, whether you're getting into the spirit of a holiday, planning a dinner party, or just trying something new. Some of my regular favorites are the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Shawarma, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Croissants, Bolognese sauce, Green Chile Chicken Bowl, Cookie Butter ice cream, the Focaccia Baguette, the fresh salmon, grilled sliced chicken, and the eucalyptus plants, which always make my apartment feel calmer and more inviting. More broadly, this company feels like it was built with real love and creativity. There is a genuine culture of celebrating people for who they are and encouraging everyone, both customers and crew, to show up authentically, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. Trader Joe's is also intentionally a bit mysterious and low profile as a brand. If you're ever curious about the backstory, the Freakonomics podcast episode on the company is fantastic and explains many of the thoughtful, unconventional decisions that you notice reflected in the stores. It's incredibly rare to watch a company scale the way this one has while still holding onto its character and values. This location is a perfect microcosm of why Trader Joe's is such a special and distinctive brand: great value, efficient shopping, carefully curated products, and genuinely kind people, all in a space that consistently leaves me happier than when I walked in. I always look forward to coming here. Thank you!
