If I could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would. From the moment I decided to start the admission process it was a complete shit show (excuse my French). Faculty doesn't communicate properly. Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone is virtually impossible because they never answer and take days to respond to voicemails and emails. They provide misinformation and have the worst attitudes. The director of the campuses Latera speaks to you like you're a child instead of someone who's paying to be educated. While I was attending I emailed her countless times about issues that not only myself but other students were having with the quality of education and she wrote me off and acted as though she could care less. I was in the esthetician program and we never even learned how to analyze skin or do a consultation which is the most important part about being an Esthetician. For weeks on end we had no products to practice the few facials we learned and all we were being told was that things were on their way and they didn't come until we were almost in our next phase. At that point we were told the truth which was that whoever was responsible for ordering facial supplies was too incompetent to even do that. They expect students to adhere to their strenuous and quite ridiculous attendance policies yet we barely learn anything while we're there. The biggest takeaway is in the pictures I've added to this post regarding their current response to the ongoing pandemic which we know is surging like crazy right now. They do not care if you have COVID and cannot attend class physically. In fact they restrict you from coming to "keep everyone else safe" yet the entire class has now been exposed and they're still expecting everyone else who isn't sick to come to class even if they don't get tested to find out for sure. Those who are sick and cannot come to class will be listed as absent and their graduation dates will be pushed back which is outrageous because no one asks to get COVID and it's not fair that graduation dates get pushed back for something out of our control. In my personal opinion it would make a lot more sense for the school to have a zoom for those who are sick that way they can attend in some form and get their hours, but they're not reasonable enough to even do that. I absolutely do not recommend anyone waste their money or time to get an "education" at Bellus. If you want to go into the beauty industry I'd recommend that you go to Paul Mitchell or even a community college that has beauty programs that provide more in depth information so that you can be successful in your chosen field. Even Youtube University provides more information on how to do certain processes in your related field. Myself and my fellow students don't even feel close to prepared to pass state board and that is a big problem. I'm thankful for having met the people that I met while I attended this school but outside of that the school is a joke. Spend your money and time elsewhere. read more
