I went here to get microdermabrasion, after sitting down with Maggie (she is the best) who gave me a consultation and wanted to chat through my skin, my preferences, my goals, my routine, etc. we decided to do a pomegranate facial. I was not disappointed! i had a 7 pm appt, I had the facial room to myself. Maggie chose great music, not typical spa music but good, upbeat music. Before the facial, Maggie asked if I wanted to relax or if she could explain everything to me, I chose the later. She went through the process of every thing she did and explained why for each part. The facial was amazing! I loved the massage, the scents, the steam, everything, it was extremely relaxing and Maggie was very professional but also honest, which I appreciate. If you've never been to Bellus first thing I have to note is you need to be attentive since this location is a bit hidden off to the side of Big Lots so if you are going here drive careful to not pass it! So I went there to get my hair done to a color that has been hard to achieve! I got my hair done by Courtney Johnson and I have to say it's like my hair was touched by a Hair Goddess!! My hair has never felt or looked as soft and amazing as it does now! I not only received the exact color I wanted I got it for a great price!! I had gone elsewhere and paid almost triple what I paid at an actual salon to get it done by a woman who although tried couldn't achieve in two visits what a student baby Jesus hair genius did in one!! I am SO happy I trusted the reviews! Micah and Ashley transformed my hair and worked color magic! I came in with a grown-out straggly, dry reddish brown bob and they made me a healthy, shiny blonde! They did all over freelights balayage, customized toner and a conditioning treatment plus a round brush blowout and voila! If you're a student looking to get into cosmetology, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Go somewhere else. Yes the price is cheaper than other schools but you will get a much better quality education where the educators and admin team care about you. I would give zero stars if I could but Yelp doesn't allow this. You will HIGHLY regret it if you go to Bellus ANY CAMPUS. The admissions team and financial aid team are so unbelievably unprofessional. I've had situations occur where they impacted my credit due to "missed payments" when I paid my tuition in full. So they set me up for a payment plan and did not process a very large check I brought in to pay in full. Their interest rates are ridiculous and monthly payments are outrageous. Also they wait until the last day to let you know about important financial deadlines. Diana and Travis in particular are very unprofessional and I have no clue how they both still work there after all of the issues they bring the students. They are supposed to be there to aid the students, not make their life harder. There is no accurate tracking when it comes to your progress. Many students have had to prove that they have completed courses, procedures, and hours after doing so due to staffing issues and grades being lost from an instructor leaving. Onto the instructors.. they do not care about you. They can't even remember peoples names. They are always on their phones, and DEFINITELY PLAY FAVORITES, making the same people clean and complete daily tasks while being friendly with others and letting them do things that are "against the policies". During my time at Bellus, there was an insane turnover rate when it came to instructors and campus directors. It seems like the working conditions for these instructors is awful and it impacts the students. If you have instructors who don't care about being there, then of course the students are not going to want to be there treated being like shit. Also they preach that if you need to take days off (it happens we all have lives outside of school), you can makeup your hours. But the day students need to stay and make up their hours after class at night, and the night students need to come during the day to make up their hours in addition to staying at night. First of all, the reason day students go to class during the day and night students go to class during night is because of availability. If everyone could be at day school then they would, and vice versa for night classes. They used to have makeup hours on Saturdays but due to staffing issues they can no longer accommodate. They preach putting the students first, but clearly they do not care if they are not willing to work with students to makeup hours. Not only does this make it impossible for students to make up hours but also students have to go to school for over 13 hours a day STRAIGHT, with a small lunch break, because you cant just make up hours at any time that you want, you have to go to your scheduled class and come in at a specific time before or after your class to makeup these hours. This is ridiculous, even in a corporate workplace, employers don't do this and legally can't. Save yourself the time and the stress and DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

I was over due for a Bellus trip. I'm so glad I went. I called in on a Wednesday and was booked for the next day 7/9/15. They sent me a confirmation text about my appointment that evening, which was nice. The morning of my appointment Samantha called me and informed me my preferred stylist wasn't available and I was rebooked with Ingrid, instead. I needed a deep conditioner and a shampoo/blow dry. Boy did she ever. She was as sweet as can be, and exactly who I needed to see. I'm in love with this place. I've been getting wonderful services from the students. I went to get a haircut and I was scared but I have learn to trust the students, and I was not dissapointed. Lucy cut my hair with so much detail and perfection that I felt like a movie star. I also received a wella oil reflections treatment and my hair was smooth and shiny. I can't stop admiring my hair and I'm really happy by the final result. I was also impressed by the instructors who genuinely care about their students learning. 3 different instructors checked and answer questions from the students cutting my hair. I think the instructor that seems to be really great is Tom, but not so sure that's his name. Last time I came he helped the gal doing a hair treatment. So I have to say I left very pleased, yes it took 1/2 of my day, but so worth it. The prices are great for the quality products they used. It's like walking to a high end salon.
