    Meatball sub
    Wai L.

This is the first time I been to Belly Buster Submarines. The decor was basic and old fashion. I ordered a meatball submarine for takeout. It was pretty good, but not much better than a meatball submarine from Subway or Mr. Sub. Service was friendly and quick. Next time, I would rather order another like the bacon combo.

Bacon combo sub was good. The bacon was crispy and there was quite a lot of it. There were also quite a lot of the cold cuts. The ingredients are of pretty good quality. The bread choices were only white and brown though. White was pretty soft but the bread had no character. The Belly Buster was pretty good. It had a good mix of good ingredients. The rib sub was ok - you can try it if you miss the McRib. The rib patty was ok but there wasn't enough BBQ sauce (it'd be soggy if there were more though). The pizza sub is cheese and onions, which sounded rather plain. Unfortunately if you get your sub heated up it goes in a microwave, not a panini press, so the bread doesn't crisp up nicely. Cookies and Cream milkshake was a bit thin and tasted a little odd. The straw was narrow so it clogged up sometimes.

    Very delicious

Real old school Italian sub shop. I believe they have been here for over 25 years, family run. Fresh ingredients and friendly service. Better alternative to big chains sub shops, plus they are open very late. Reminds me of Archie comics jug head sub belly buster. Not many original establishments like this left in Toronto

I would recommend a cheesesteak or roast beef sub :) great service! The environment is simple and friendly I felt safe ordering my food and having it there. Overall one of the best locations on Yonge for a quick bite on the go I would highly recommend to any lover of subs

    Tuna sandwich

I love them! The sandwiches are huge and they don't cheap out on ingredients. The sandwiches are really inexpensive and taste great, much better than the chain restaurants. We got the veggie and tuna sandwiches and they were really great. Staff was awesome too.

Turkey bacon. It's a MUST get. No questions asked.

Oh my. Forget about all the other sub chains in Toronto. This place is part of the city. It's classic. It's ohhh so delicious. This review will be short and sweet. Get the turkey bacon sub. The shredded lettuce is nice and fresh. The bacon is microwaved and yummy. The bread is always fresh. Mayo is spread on with a nice. It's homemade but special. They don't take credit cards unfortunately but they still deserve the 5 star rating What are you waiting for??!! Wish they still had the location up north but I never got around to trying it. Hope this stays open for years to come. Toronto wouldn't be the same without it. Oh and the decor. It's so old and outdated. It's perfect! Old school seats. Nasty colours everywhere. Please don't change belly busters. Keep being you.

Awful. You people must be too stoned to realize how bad these sandwiches are. Flies in that place. Bland tasteless subs.

Even though the location at the Promenade Mall exceeds this horrible location by 100 times. I came here to this location in York Mills Rd expecting a decent sub and some decent service. That's not expecting much But On this occasion, I entered and the one Indian lady about 20 something years old immediately put me off. She took my order rather curtly and asked my name forcefully. I mean I am the only customer in there. I waited my 4-5 minutes paying no mind. Then She proceeded to just plop my sandwich on the counter and literally screamed my name and then walked to the back. I'm sorry but this order is for take out I said can I have a bag. She saids she doesn't have big bags with handles. This is not my first rodeo here and she plops a small sandwich bag on the counter with absolutely no customer service like bagging it for me and then walks off again. That's when I see a uber order with a said bag with handle sitting there I mean, I like their sandwiches but service and a remotely polite service is important too. I definitely strongly recommend to stay away from this location. And I am debating on going to any location again as this represents not only their name and location but the franchise reputation as a whole.

I asked two separate worker the guy who took my order and the lady who made it both of them was very sure that it was toasted bacon on my sandwich after both looking at it. The guy who took my order even went on to say that the bacon didn't taste toasted because the buns were not toasted. That doesn't even make sense. The first time I went an older guy took my order and gave me a sandwich with crispy bacon so I don't really understand why it was different. I even thought it was better than subway or jersey Mike sub I don't even know if them trying to convince me that the bacon was toasted is considered bad customer service it was just weird

Opened in Feb 2025, the sandwich shop is set to expand opening a second location near Dundas and Ossington sometime this year. They are open daily from 11am to 5pm where you can pre-order off Ambassador for pick up or opt for delivery with Ubereats. When Ariete E Toro first opened last year, I recall seeing the long lines as it became super popular. Fast forward to a year later, I finally tried Ariete E Toro recently. The storefront is on a side street off of Yonge St. where it is take out only. They do have a bench near the window/entrance of the store but usually it's utilized by people waiting for their sandwiches. In the summer though, they have a small patio in front of the shop with some tables and chairs. Menu wise, Ariete E Toro has a variety of sandwiches with ingredients that work well together. You are also able to build your own sandwich if you'd like. They also have beverages like soda and water as well. The store boasts that all their ingredients are high quality. An average price of a sandwich is around $17. I decided to pre-order 2 sandwiches for pick up. These are the two sandwiches I got: - Enzo (mortadella di bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachio, lemon and basil oil). - Rogo Rogo (prosciutto cotto, 'nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, and brown butter vinaigrette) Entering the store to pick up my order, staff were amidst completing my sandwiches. There was already a regular there chatting with staff. Service was quick. My sandwiches were packed and I had half of each at home. The size of the sandwich was pretty big! I could only finish 3/4th of the sandwich. Both the Enzo and the Rogo Rogo were tasty but the Enzo stole the show. The moist bread with the mortadella where the pistachio pesto and hint of stracciatella cheese along with a slight crunch from the chopped pistachio made for a perfect sandwich (I do prefer the bread a bit harder and crunchier though but the texture of this one was still good). I was sharing the sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich. I would have given a higher rating on Yelp but finding someone else's hair in your food is off-putting. I do hope that if I return next time (either to this location or to their new location near Ossington/Dundas) that we won't find any surprises in our food. Overall, delicious sandwiches in Midtown Toronto, however, we did find a piece of hair in our sandwiches which.... kind of makes me hesitant to return. **Update** - I wrote a review on Google where the owner personally asked me to email them to rectify the situation with the piece of hair found in my sandwich. The owner apologized and stated that he was actually the one who personally made my sandwich that day (sliced the deli meat, etc.). He also made sure that he would speak with the bread manufacturer to make sure that they were aware of the situation as it may have come from the bread as well. He also gave me a refund for one sandwich as well as a $25 credit for if I wanted to give the sandwich spot another chance (the sandwich is too good to not go back!). That is what I call great customer service - making sure that an apology was given and that customers are happy. Would happily return again for their tasty sandwiches!!

Food: I got the Enzo - I'm a big fan of mortadella and pistachio pesto, and it's one of their OGs. I wasn't as big a fan of the sotto bosco, but overall the quality and portion sizes are solid. Presentation: Each sandwich comes in a snazzy box perfect for keeping the sandwich intact Space: Clean shop, more of a take out spot, with just one bench by the windows for seating Service: Quick and efficient - no line when I went right at opening on a Sunday. I came here hoping to satisfy my craving for a proper Italian mortadella sandwich after Eataly left me underwhelmed. Thankfully, this one hit the spot.

You can really feel the care and personality behind the space, which added so much to the overall visit. We tried a variety of items, but the Pizza Caesar Wrap was easily the standout and our favourite thing we ate. Crispy, cheesy, messy in the best way, and packed with flavour. Even better, $3 from every wrap goes toward supporting Daily Bread Food Bank through their $30,000 fundraising campaign, which made ordering it feel even more worthwhile. We also really enjoyed the Spicy Ham & Cheese, which had the perfect balance of spicy, creamy, salty, and savoury flavours. The Gourmet French Hot Dog was another highlight with its sweet and savoury flavour combination wrapped in a buttery, flaky croissant. The Four Seasons sandwiches were a fun concept inspired by the Blue Jays, and while the Chef's Choice wasn't our personal favourite, some people at our table enjoyed it more than we did. For dessert, all of the cookies were freshly baked in-house and surprisingly good for a grab-and-go style spot. The double chocolate chip was rich and soft, and the white chocolate cranberry and macadamia cookies were both solid classics. The iced matcha latte with oat milk paired especially well with them, and the iced vanilla latte was smooth and easy to drink. The space itself is bright and open with big windows that bring in lots of natural light during the day. Seating is cozy, but the layout still feels spacious and comfortable overall. Overall, a playful comfort food spot that offers catering with genuinely friendly service, creative menu items, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to come back.
