Been wanting some good diner food... as you can see my taste buds were all over. Food was so fresh, service was great and the place was so clean!

Been coming to Blue Bay since high school days and now bringing my kids to this diner. It's your typical All-American diner. Large portions, unlimited refills on coffee, and a crazy large selection of items on the menu. Sometimes the lines can be long but it moves quick.

Came here for breakfast with a companion at her request. The restaurant is hug and it's look as it is, a big cafeteria style set up. My friend treated me to breakfast. It's good to be treated once in a while so we ordered the silver dollar pancake and we split then because I didn't want a full set for myself. This way we can minimize the budget. We went casual, very relaxed not worrying about what each other were wearing, just enjoying the time spent and the morning out. The food was pretty good and I was not stuffed because we shared. I had egg whites, turkey sausage and of course the silver dollar pancake. Does everyone drown their pancakes in syrup? My friend did. I teased and we laughed, it was a great breakfast and a relaxed atmosphere. It was also pretty crowded. They do charge a different price for for cash and charge. I offered to pay since I had cash but she didn't allow so the bill was about $5 more which she put on her card. The tea sometimes come luke warm and not hot as one may want. They also have a brunch menu so come as you are and enjoy.

    Fabulous staff.

Back to celebrate with our first grade teacher. Excellent food, welcoming staff. The "usual". Thank you.

I've been coming here for a long, long time. When my late partner lived in the neighborhood, we would come here all the time to grab a bite. I was back in the neighborhood helping finish up her affairs, so I decided to stop in again for old times sake. The place is clean and bright, and everybody is very friendly. They have a huge diner menu, but we always got one thing, and one thing only. The challah bread, French toast. That's what I ordered again today. It is good as it has always been. Three huge pieces of French toast. Crunchy on the outside, and creamy on the inside. The custard is delicious, and it's cooked to perfection. I had it with a couple of eggs, and they were cooked perfectly over easy. This has easily been the best French toast I have ever had, and the next time I'm back in the neighborhood, I will stop again. The prices are very reasonable. There is a small upcharge if you pay with plastic instead of cash, however, it is clearly delineated on the menu. Thanks again for a great meal.

Loved my Tomato and Cheddar Cheese Omelette with a side( massive) salad.

Huge portions! I mean really big! My first time at the BBD! Loved it! My buddy Bubba and his wife Rita are regulars here. They were slammed with people waiting but the very cool host and staff took care of everyone and had our party of 3 seated in 2 minutes. Our waitress was outstanding- sharp, quick and attentive. The coffee cups were refilled frequently as was the hot water for the tea. She brought out a bunch of napkins and a big serving dish with balsalmic dressing to go with the gargantuan side salad( photo). The eggs were hot. Everything tasted good. The coffee was good as well. My salad was fresh and crispy. The menu was pretty extensive with a special brunch menu accompanying the breakfast selections. Our new friends from Chicago who were sitting next to us also were pleasantly surprised with the sheer quantity when they got their orders. The burgers looked great and appetizing as did the bacon. The diner was packed and the staff adjusted very well to ensure a smooth flow of folks in and out of the dining areas. Definitely 5 stars for a fun and satisfying NY diner experience. Loads of parking in a big Food Emporium parking lot off the north service road of the Long Island Expressway.

The chicken parm sandwich was divine and the tiramisu was surprisingly decadent. The onion rings were nice and crispy. Our waiter was very welcoming but service was a bit slow due to it being a busy Friday night.

This diner takes me back to the 90s and it's so cute. If you come here bring your appetite and I mean that literally. The portion sizes are out of this world but delicious. You definitely get what you pay for. The service was fast and attentive.

My wife ordered a mushroom room omelet with extra cheese and an order of hash . Folks, iam not cheap or watch how much I spend when we go out to eat but I refuse to be taken advantage off of what I get charged. THe mushroom omelet was charged for every thing that they put in .I was charged individually for the peppers ,mushrooms and what ever else they put in .the western omelet was not and had the amount of ingredients as the mushroom.ftom $12.95 the amount increased $5 more.why? The hash browns were also very expensive and the two strawberries on the waffle were $7.the Nutella swirling was also a $7 charge. Like I previously mentioned iam not cheap at all.but when I have seen the bill of $109.00 itpissedme off and I felt that I was raped.yes i know everything has increased and I know what the manager is going to say when they see this review. Shame shame shame on them they are truly ripping customers off.we will not ever go back to this establishment again and I will make sure I will inform my family and freinds.they are many dinners in the area to go to. Shame on you again.

The service didn't help either. The waitstaff was unfriendly and seemed completely checked out. Tables were dirty, as well as condiments, definitely a rundown diner. And somehow the bill came to  $75 before tip for a burger, panini, wrap, and an ice cream float. Completely overpriced for the quality we got. Definitely not a place I'd return to or recommend.

I found out that they have a parking lot with valet parking. I don't know if the valet parking is mandatory or you can park your own car. We received exceptional service today. The greeting was warm, our waiter was patient and friendly and Fernando, (the person that brings you water, tea, or coffee when you are seated), was exceptional. He created a relaxing environment all around. He was the first to meet us at the table and the last. Fernando is a peoples person and an asset to this diner. He's an influencer, when I come back, it will be because of the interaction with Fernando! I had the heart healthy wrap with I found to be flavorless. Not enjoyable at all but I'm not a connoisseur of eating heart healthy omelettes or wraps. I also had the homefries which was supposed to have onions. I didn't see any nor did I taste any but it was delicious. It was crispy and very delicious. I also had the turkey sausage. Now I am a connoisseur of turkey sausages. These sausage were very fresh and I have yet to taste any turkey sausages like these. Hands down uncomfortable. So I can add this diner to collection of preferred diners.

This is, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced…read more I was really pulling for this place. I wanted it to succeed. I told everyone about it, that it was some of the best pizza in New York. I gave them so many chances. Last night was the final straw. Made a reservation for Friday night at 8PM. We arrived at 8:05. The waitress who's basically always there, who sounds like she smokes about a pack a day, was the only waitress there that night. I felt for her, but also, not my problem. We didn't receive water or a full set of utensils and menu until about 8:15. At about 8:25, she took our order, and we ordered a few apps and calzone and pizza. I had to ask for my coke about 4 times until she remembered to bring it. Water was NEVER refilled. We were never asked if we were ok. Around 8:50, we finally received our apps. It was ok, they've made it better in the past. Ambiance was starting to die down as the restaurant was clearing out. We felt a bit bad for her, but also, this wasn't our fault, that they were unprepared for a Friday night rush (her words). By 9:15, we were furious and our moods were ruined. We sat down at 8:05, ordered before 8:30, we were the only ones left and our pizza and calzone were yet to be found. Shortly before 9:30, it arrived. And again, it was pretty good, but not wait over an hour for it good. I wanted this place to succeed. The pizza maker from Italy deserves a better crew. The waitress doesn't know how to be a waitress, at all. No apologies, not taking anything off the check, not checking on us. There's no busboy, no one dedicated to take out, no manager. It seems that everyone plays each others roles, and quite poorly. They've lost a loyal customer tonight. We will NEVER give this place another try.

Alessandro was wonderful and worked so hard to accommodate us all by himself. We decided to keep it simple and order a bunch of pizzas to share as well as a family style salad. Pizza was served one type at a time, it felt like a pizza tasting menu and I loved every second of it. We started off the the Margherita, which was simple and delicious. His dough is perfectly springy and light, but also has great flavor as does the sauce. Prosciutto Pie included mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto and shaved Parmigiano cheese. Another delicious version, you can feel the high quality of the ingredients with this one. Salsiccia Pie used a spicy soppressata, tomato sauce and mozzarella. It's hard to believe but each "course" seemed to be better than the last. Svetonio Pie has meatballs, tomato sauce, ricotta, crispy pancetta, kalamata olives and basil. This was the most complex pie in terms of flavors, but they all worked so well together. The Arugula Salad with cherry tomato red onion, mozzarella cubes was the perfect acidic accompaniment to the pizzas. The restaurant itself is small and rustic, but it felt so homey and made for a perfect spot for our little celebration. Everyone agreed the pizza was excellent all around. I can't wait to return to try more of the menu.
