Over the years I have learned that my plumbing skills are poor to negligible. I learned about Belmont plumbing and Jerry in particular from Yelp. Jerry has come to our house twice in the last 12 months and each time solved a big problem for us. The first involved a leak from a very hidden pipe deep beneath our sink. The second involved replacement of a garbage disposal. In each case, he did a great job. We have used big box plumbers like Bell plumbing in the past, but you never know what you're going to get and the price is usually steep. With Jerry you are going to get a plumber who doesn't say much, but who dives under the sink, digs right into the problem, and fixes it in short order at a reasonable price. Recommended. read more

Jerry took care of it quickly and straightforwardly, and then fixed a sink and a faucet that slowing down the water coming out of them. Jerry is our guy. A plumber who comes complete with a plumber's crack. We have been using Belmont for our general plumbing needs for the last 15+ years. Very good service. And, you don't pay until you receive the bill in the mail. How crazy is that? 12JUL2017 Another visit by "the man". We are renovating our kitchen and need the refrigerator water line moved. Jerry came on 24-hour notice. Used his $120 crimping tool and his knowledge to move the line. 13JUN2016 Our sump pump died. Jerry squeezed us into his schedule and now we are OK. 04OCT2013 We needed some work done on our new house and Jerry was his usual cheerful, competent self. 07MAR2009 This Saturday morning we discovered that our main drain to the sewer line was backed-up (as an aside--how come you never discover these problems on Wednesdays?). We called Belmont and received a call back within 10 minutes. Then, 5 minutes later, we received a call from the rooter dispatcher to let us know that "he was on his way". Twenty (20) minutes later, Wes was at our front door. A few minutes later he has the rooter machine doing its thing. "Just normal buildup, no roots. All clean out now." Jerry is awesome. We redid the plumbing in our house about four years ago and were so disappointed. It was just awful. This time, we called Jerry. He's a great guy, very friendly. He took off his shoes before coming in the house and even cleaned up after himself. Those are just the perks. He did a great job fixing what needed to be fixed. He was knowledgable and quick. He definitely knows what he's doing. It was also relatively easy to schedule him to come. The other great thing about Jerry was that when he finished the job I pulled out my checkbook to pay him and he said that he would invoice us later. He wanted to make sure we were happy with the job first. This way we knew he wouldn't just take our money and run, never to be heard from again (Unfortunately this is our experience with the majority of contractors.) We were very impressed. read more

Needed to have some kitchen sink plumbing moved as part of a kitchen upgrade. We were referred to Belmont by another highly rated local plumber because they were running three weeks out. I called Belmont on a Wednesday, and talked to Marilyn. She said they were running at the end of the following week. I had her add me to their queue just to hedge my bets, and kept looking. Jerry called me back the same day, and said he wanted to come look at the job. He came Friday morning, and said he could be back on Monday to complete the job. He came back on Monday, and within an hour, I had the pipes exactly where they needed to be in order to get the new sink installed. Jerry is exactly the kind of local, non-corporate professional I was seeking and want to support. I have used AAA Plumbing and Heating for many years, for both our main home and for a rental property we used to have, but they have slowly become very corporate; the last time I had them out, the plumber had to use a book to look up the charge: A big red flag that indicates high turnover. Compared to the price I paid AAA for their most recent service, Jerry's price for moving my pipes was reasonable, and he was there before I even expected him. Great service! read more

Honest Plumber. I had hired another plumber to power clean my drain in the kitchen due to a particularly bad clog. They tried to convince me I needed an additional $750 in work done in the kitchen to "bring it up to code." I got a bad feeling and I decided against it. I had Jerry come out about a month later for a separate unrelated leak. I asked for his opinion on the additional work and he said that I was up to code and the only thing I needed to do was adjust the line from the dishwasher to the drain, which he did and fixed with a zip tie. Without my asking Jerry was respectful of my home by taking off his shoes before entering. All work was done quickly and to the estimate quoted. He called me back, gave me an estimate on clearing two drains (half the "special rate" of others), showed up on time, did good work and did it quickly--and charged me exactly the phone rate.
