For $35, this massage is a steal. I didn't even know this was offered outside of SGV! I was walking down 2nd Street when I passed the window. About 100 feet away, I called in, just to see if they had any availability -- and they did! The back portion was excellent. As stated by other reviewers, the leg and foot part wasn't as extensive, but the hot stones and attention to shoulders and back made up for it. The only thing I didn't like was the head massage. I need to skip this the next time. The guy knotted up my hair, and then he REALLY roughly combed it with his fingers. I have thin hair, and he tore it all out. When I got home and ran my own hands through my hair, about 50 strands came out. I have no idea why this would seem okay to the masseuse, but it kind of turned me off. Plus, it was at the end. Okay, look - - I am walking tension. I suffer from chronic pain in my back and neck. Massages, acupressure, acupuncture + meds are how I function day to day. Love this place. Everyone was so friendly and kind. I got the 55-minute massage and it was $43 when paying with cash, such a great deal. The massage itself was so relaxing and professional. They use stones, oil, and play relaxing music. The bed is actually heated, so it feels amazing when you are lying down. My massage therapist worked on all the knots I had in my body, especially the ones where I had the most tension. I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed. Luxurious, affordable massage therapy in a beautiful facility in Belmont Shore. I attempted to walk in for a massage last week, and they were fully booked. So, I highly recommend making an appointment in advance. I had better luck on a Tuesday evening, where I made an appointment for 8:30pm. Upon entering, I immediately felt relaxed. The interior is immaculately clean, with neutral homey/beachy decor. Like your grandma's house, in a good way. There is a large couch in the waiting area, and a refrigerator stocked with water. My masseuse was Kim, who greeted me and led me to a room. The massage rooms here are spacious, and incredibly comfortable. They provide a basket for your belongings, and hooks to hang up your clothes. As I climbed onto the massage table, I was amazed to find that it was HEATED. The multiple layers of high thread count linens were super soft and comforting, and the heat began to relax my muscles before the massage even started. Kim asked me if there were any areas I would like to focus on, and I explained to her that I have knots in my shoulders from working on a computer 10-12 hours per day. She completely understood the issue, and the massage was hugely productive, as well as enjoyable. The use of heat-hot stones, towels, and even oil, was unlike anything I have ever experienced in a massage. My 55 minute combo massage set me back just $40, which almost seemed unreal considering the quality of the service, Kim's skill level, and the lovely facility. I usually go to reflexology places in Santa Ana but because a friend referred me here, I decided to give it a try. My lower back was killing me, where I could barely move so I contacted Tatiana and she was able to schedule me in the very same day. She used the right amount of pressure and checked in with me to make sure. She also found all my knots and did her best to rid em. At the start she asked if there was another area I wanted her to focus on. She surpassed my expectations. On top of that the lady at the front was very nice. When you walk in, there's a nice calm atmosphere with soothing music playing. It's dimmed and the massage tables are in a small enclosed place but with privacy. After reading so many good reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I had scheduled a couple's massage today to celebrate our anniversary and was hoping to get the amazing experience that majority of the Yelpers had, but was very disappointed. Initially, our appointment started off great. I received three calls as I was driving over from the receptionist informing me that they had saved a parking spot for me in the back and wanted to confirm with me that I was still coming for the appointment. When we got there was when my experience was a bit bumpy. 1. The massage therapists and the receptionist asked us about four times if we were sure we wanted the shared room for the couple's massage. Yes, we are a same-sex couple...not very odd to find here in Long Beach since it's a VERY LGBTQ+ friendly city! Granted, they are middle aged to late aged Asian ladies working so it's most likely related to their cultural background and not common to see same-sex couples *shrugs* who knows! But that made us feel very uncomfortable. 2. My massage therapist didn't introduce herself so I didn't get her name. She pretty much went straight to work and was pretty careless. She didn't ask me for permission to go under my underwear and kept pulling down my underwear to massage an area where I felt extremely uncomfortable! I was in so much shock that I couldn't react to speak up for myself. I tried to let it go by assuring myself that she's only working on a knot she found and probably didn't think twice to ask for permission to go there. 3. Again, my massage therapist was careless when she asked me to turn over and half of my boobs came out from the sheets when she pulled my arm up. Like can anything else happen at this point?! 4. When we went up to the front to pay, I wanted to treat my girlfriend so I took out my debit card. The receptionist criticized me and said they prefer cash because they can give me a discount of $4-$8. And that if I didn't have cash, I should go across the street to the Chase bank to pull out cash. Instead, I pulled a $100 bill from my wallet for emergency purposes and handed it to her. She turned to my girlfriend's massage therapist (Tina) and asked her for change. That's when Tina said for me to just increase the tip because "we work hard for our money here." I didn't know what to say at that point and just said "sure, no problem." Then walked out feeling disgusted and embarrassed. This was and is a good place to get a great massage. It is right on 2nd Street in the middle of the action so there is a lot of traffic outside. When you go in, you start smelling a great aroma and you get a sense of piece and calm in spite of the restaurants, shops and traffic right outside the door. I used to live down the street and would come in maybe once a month (for a guy who never got regular massages, I thought I was a regular). Come to find out there are people that come every week and some a couple times a week (regulars) and you know they are regulars when they walk in and are greeted by name and their therapist is waiting for them. About the massage - I think what makes the massage good is I feel relaxed, safe, comfortable and at the end I feel so good. The other thing I like is when you tip your massage therapist you actually give your tip to your person and can show your appreciation for a job well done. read more

Well one of my girlfriends was getting dressed for massage therapist in Vietnamese said what is taking this bitch so long. My friend who is Vietnamese replied that she was almost done getting dressed. The massage therapist just left my friend. As my friend was checking out the receptionist told her she wasn't taking a nap. My friend said she didn't want to tip more because the massage therapy rude to her and called her a nasty name. The receptionist just laughed at her and did nothing about it. I purchased an 85-minute massage (regular, not deep tissue) on 12/31/18. Tom was the masseuse assigned. I told him I had neck pain and, without asking permission or telling me he was going to do it, he performed an "adjustment" on me. Adjustments are part of a chiropractic treatment, with proper equipment, training, and agreed upon course of actions... this is NOT part of a massage. Tom wrapped a towel around my head and pulled, hard, without warning. I was not laying down straight. Every bone in my spine cracked down to my mid-back. For a while I couldn't breathe. A week later, with the pain getting worse, it appears he actually caused a slipped disc in my back and I will need medical treatment to fix the damage he did. This was and is an outrageous violation of massage practice. It remains to be seen what will be done to rectify this, but I highly advise against getting a massage here. read more

Last night I had to go in because I was having such severe back pain from moving apartments all week. I asked for a major focus with mainly my lower back & to just be face down the entire hour. I was pleasantly surprised by the Belmont Spa. I had a lot of stiffness In my upper back from doing deadlifts at the gym and I really needed a good deep tissue massage. Luckily, I was in the area and I was baffled by the price: Its only $36.00 for a one hour massage! I thought it couldn't hurt to go inside and have a massage, since most one hour massages cost around 60 to 80 bucks. They do an amazing job of giving you a full body massage, and releasing tension in your upper back, shoulders and leg muscles. I really enjoyed the hot stones they put on my traps to loosen up the stiffness. After the massage, I literally felt every muscle in my body had been released from knots and tension. They have large massage beds that you typically find in chiropractic offices, and there are no rooms, but each massage area is separated by curtains from other customers. I will say that for only $36.00 bucks, this place is an absolute bargain. I haven't tried their other massages, but I do think its worth checking out if you are In the area. However, the parking situation is really bad. They do have a few parking spots in the back, but they are usually full. You have to pay metered street parking and may have to walk a few blocks, since Belmont shore gets packed with all of its restaurants and shopping. If you are in Long Beach and want a good therapeutic massage at a low price, then Belmont Shore spa is worth checking out! read more

I have found my new "every other week" ritual, no joke! $35 for an hour long traditional Chinese massage is incredible value. And in THE nicest part of town!! They incorporated accupressure and even treated my sciatica. I could feel some of my knots just disintegrating at the very start! I was sniffling and told my massage therapist (Sonny) that I had a cold and so he gave me a facial massage to take away the sinus pressure. I was so blown away that they actually customize your massage to what is ailing you. Very courteous service, he asked several times how the pressure was and if I was comfortable :) My fella got his massage next door to me, we were seperated by a dividing wall but I could not hear anything that was going on in his area. (Even though he said his therapist, (Teddy), was cracking his back and stepping on him! These guys are magical NINJAS!) Oh and the hot stones were sooo warm!!
