Disappointing. Not bad, but disappointing. Nauset Ice Cream just up the road beats the daylights out of old Ben & Jerry in this round. I ordered a Mocha shake Ii.e., Frappe). Traditionally, this is made with half coffee and half chocolate ice cream and the corresponding flavor syrup. I have to remember to tell people this. Ever since Brigham's went under, no one seems to know this recipe. The lady here made it with ice cream that had cookies in it (maybe Oreo?). I didn't catch exactly which flavor it was, but was not the traditional way of making a mocha shake. It wasn't bad, but I really would rather not have cookie crumbs ground up in my shakes. That being said, they shake was fairly tasty. My wife did not like her much too sweet vanilla. She described it as such and "not very refreshing as ice cream goes". She couldn't even finish hers. Otherwise, the store is neat and clean, and they had a separate entrance for online order pick-ups. Very efficient also, and the line was a few people long, but moved quite quickly. read more

Horrible. The ice cream is your standard ice cream that you can buy from the store. The prices are okay but I rather support a small business. Lastly, absolutely cannot stand the fact that when I pay with my credit card, they ask me what I want to tip! Tip? For what?! What an insult! Pay your employees enough so they don't need a tip! All they are doing is their job, nothing special , nothing more. What merits any tip???? Will not return here again on moral grounds alone. Don't try to exploit your customers. UPDATE: describing flavors and offering samples is considered above and beyond? Geez. We sure have lowered standards for what is considered basic customer service skills. Might as well have a robot in there or self serve if those 2 things are considered "above and beyond". It's their job. That's their function to do those things to delight every customers. Providing poor customer service can't be the base expectation?!? The tipping is optional but intrusive. You shouldn't be asked to tip. You have to actually answer NO when the prompt pops up. I know B&J prices are usually higher than others, but are they even higher on the Cape? How about some roll back prices once in a while, especially since we all know the cost of the correspondence course B&J took to learn how to make ice cream? I was on my home from a 4th of July beach getaway at National Seashore when my belly started rumblin' and that wonderful Ben & Jerry's sign was beckoning me to stop in. Sure glad I did. There was a small line but I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I got served. Got the 3-scoop cup with the "Tonight Show Dough" flavor that I found to be quite tasty. I always get mint choco and salted caramel as my steady base scoops. The staff was friendly and the interior seemed clean. Also happy to see a sign on the wall stating the founders Ben and Jerry were fully behind the BLM revolution. I will NOT patronize any racist business that supports the criminal bigot Trump. America needs to send a clear message to that scumbag that he is not welcome in this country any longer. read more

This location is a public health hazard during COVID. Other restaurants are limiting the number of people inside, requiring masks, and have clearly posted 6 foot distance markers for those waiting to be served. In contrast, staff at this Ben and Jerry's were encouraging large numbers of people to come in, had the door/windows closed, and had a dozen people crammed inside shoulder to shoulder. After stopping by two other Ben & Jerry's in the area, I was immediately drawn to the warm welcome that Judy provided us. If you are an ice cream lover, Judy will hook you up! She provided some delicious and creative autumnal menu options, including an apple cider shake and a cider donut ice cream sandwich (she has the donuts shipped fresh every morning!). My friend tried the apple cider shake and was in his bliss (and this is someone who is not into dessert), while I opted for a cone loaded with three different flavors. Everything was just as amazing as I expected. As for the facility itself, the shop is the cleanest and most organized I have ever seen. I have been on the hunt for a tie dye Ben & Jerry's tee, and easily found it amongst a wide variety of designs. The shirts were neatly packaged in plastic bags to avoid any ice cream drip stains. Went to B & J's as a group of 7 and the place was packed inside and out. The line moved quickly due to the well trained and very friendly staff. My daughter has a nut allergy and the young lady helping us did a fantastic job making sure that everything was fresh for my girl!!!! We went outside to eat the ice cream and were quickly offended by the immensely strong odor of rotten fish. We had to leave and go elsewhere. Great place, great staff and great ice cream!!!! Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream is Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream - we all know its pretty darned great. This review is not of the ice cream itself, but of the PRICES!! The staff are all young and have Justin Bieber hairdos and multi-colored high tops. A sort of strange junior beach jock meets emo hybrid. So funny. But they were all helpful and enthused so no complaints there, at all. The ice cream you order at the counter, be it in cups or cones, is over priced enough, but it was the only close-by option for ice cream we had at 9:45pm - and Arnold's down the road - curse them, had closed up shop. The kicker was when I went back in to buy a prepackaged pint like you'd by in the grocery store - for 2 friends who wouldn't make it in time. SIX BUCKS. I have never paid 6 bucks for a pint of ice cream in Manhattan - let alone Cape Cod, where great ice cream is in abundance everywhere. No way I'm doing that again. read more

Ice Cream Catering = best decision! Having Ben & Jerry's cater any event, in my case a 75 person outdoor wedding, will absolutely create a top highlight. The entire process, from the initial phone call to inquire, back and forth emails for details, the ice cream tasting (prepare yourself for this amazing experience) and the day of service was wonderful! The ice cream tasting was my personal favorite part, but you literally would not believe the pressure of choosing flavors. When trying over 15 and loving them all (this is Ben & Jerry's we are talking about!) it really is a difficult decision :) I went with the ice cream sundae bar and was able to choose up to 6 ice cream flavors and 6 toppings, on top of your standard hot fudge, caramel, and whipped cream! There is so much to choose from that everyone at your event will end up happy. The process of creating your own sundae allows each person to indulge in their own bowl of creamy heaven. Judy and her team will work with you to make sure they display the ice cream bar to fit your theme! They provide a few different options, but are also open to your ideas and anything you want to provide for the perfect look. In the case of the sundae bar, the Ben & Jerry's staff scooped the flavors and then each guest took their bowl thru the assembly line of toppings for perfect personal quantities. I would highly recommend using Ben & Jerry's for your catering needs. They were the perfect addition to my wedding and let's be honest, who doesn't love ice cream?! read more

Well, you can always count on being treated well and having a good time at this particular shop. During the summer you can expect to see a line curving around the building, but it's completely worth it to stop in for some ice cream before heading out to a movie or to the beach for the nighttime. The staff is always so friendly, and you can always count on the servers being young kids, some from abroad, just trying to make a couple extra summer dollars. Every time I come to this Ben & Jerry's, everyone always seems confused and like they don't want to help you. I love the cookies they make, and I wanted to grab some before I headed back home. The woman behind the counter said the cookies just came out and couldn't give them to me because they were too hot, which I guess is reasonable. My family and I have been visiting the Eastham shop for more years than I can count and it's been so lovely seeing all the same teenagers and manager there year after year, getting to watch them all grow up. It's always seemed like such a great environment for these kids, but something seemed off this time. I understand that the pandemic has made this season extremely tough on the locals, being short staffed, and overworked, and I'm sure that has an effect on everyone. But during our annual chat/catch up with the (always amazing) staff, we learned that the shop recently sold to new owners... and after watching the kids moods change from friendly to uncomfortable instantly when the new owner walked in, I can't help but wonder if maybe the change in ownership is having a negative effect as well. read more
