The Salted Caramel Blondie (sweet cream ice cream with blonde brownies and a salted caramel swirl) was a first-time try for me and definitely delivered -- rich, sweet, and really satisfying. Came by for free cone day on April 14 and joined a long line to get a free scoop. Luckily the line moved fast and I only waited about 10 min. This was my first time at an actual shop and I tried the chocolate fudge brownie which was delicious in a sugar cone and the perfect afternoon treat. The few times I have been here, it never fails to disappoint. For over $8/serving, you get the smallest cup ever, not even filled to the top with ice cream...I would estimate 1/8th of a pint. Mind you that you can get a full pint next door at guss's or the multiple convenience stores on Haight for $6 or $7. Even my daughter, who is the happiest child in the world w any semplice of sugar asked "is that all?" horrible attitude from lady scooping my ice cream, friday the 20th around 6:30, saw her put her fingers in another customers ice cream and short them of their ice cream because she was annoyed at the miscommunication on her end because she didnt hear the customer two cups instead of two scoops in one cup, very clear difference. She then gave me attitude for asking to reaffirm my confidence that I would get two single scoop cups as she was scooping twice for one cup which caused confusion. the whole interaction took away from the bright and jolly colors that the ben and jerry's brand and in which the ice cream should make a person feel happy me and my fellow consumer left with a feeling of gloom and despair. plus she was wearing no gloves and we dont know where her fingers have been and she was touching up all over the pints as she scooped. overall cant even rate this out of 10, won't come back to this specific ben and jerry's won't even consider as one because it is a bad representation of the esteemed company overall after their good work on social issues. hope i can save future customers from possible sickness because who knows when the box of food grade gloves will ever be touched again. el fin. read more

Being from New England, it's amusing to me that this B&J location at Haight Ashbury is so prominently placed in the neighborhood. It's probably seen better days but it still suit my needs for amazing plant-based ice cream. You can buy this variety both in the freezer selection on the left, as well as some of the scoop selections. In the freezer, there is a wide selection of their almond, sunflower, and oat milk. However, the freezer section always look half empty and that's sort of the feeling you get being here. The staff have always been very friendly but the inside could use a bit of a face lift. At that two milkshakes! With no complaints you know why? Because they just use a blender to make it THENNNN the HR manager emailed me saying that their machinery is down and tried to blame the pandemic! Dropped in as I was thrifting along Haight Street. Great spot to quickly stop by for some ice cream. They have so many flavors and you can get free samples! Try as many as you want before you decide what to get. The small size is pretty small and the larger size is just less than a $1 more. The service was great!
