    Chocolate peanut butter scoop ($5)
    Tiffany Y.

You know an ice cream is good when there's a line after dinner time! I originally wanted to try the fresh cookie cup, but they didn't have any when I went. It was on the menu, but I couldn't tell if they were sold out or just didn't offer it anymore. I ended up getting a chocolate peanut butter scoop ($5), which was super creamy and a good amount of peanut butter. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me, but still solid. One of my friends is allergic to egg and this place offers a lot of egg-free flavors which is a perk!

If I lived here I would make this MY. SPOT. The cookie is amazing and the ice cream equals if not goes beyond expectation. I'm obsessed and will be going back for a shirt or tote. I am over the moon about this place!

Persian ice cream in chocolate chip cookie cup.
    Honoree T.

I got the Persian ice cream and it was really good - there was saffron and pistachio in it - great combo! Ice cream was flavorful without being too sweet. I did get the cookie cup, which I'm not sure I'd do again. The crust was on the harder side (I like soft and gooey cookies). Price was reasonable too. There is seating in the way back if you'd like to sit/rest.

Super tasty! I got one of the cheesecake ones and it was really enjoyable. There's a little bit of seating in the back if you want to sit and eat. It's also nice that they let you try as many ice cream as you'd like! A perfect dessert spot for a late night treat!

I don't have much to say aside from the honey lavender flavor is amazing. It is just the right amount of sweetness, and has such a nice aroma, I would come back just to order a pint for home. Over the Moon is located along many other restaurants, perfect for dessert right after you finish dinner somewhere else.

Second time going here and a little disappointed that they didn't have the ginger ice cream anymore. Especially because this was the only place that I know of that had ginger ice cream and it was SO good. The quality of the ice cream is really good too because it is very creamy. They have pretty unique flavors, which I do appreciate in an ice cream shop. But they should make the ginger ice cream a full time thing

Cookie Monster (right) and Root Beer (left) flavors in a single scoop
    Anh T.

Came here on a weekend night in the Marina District, and loved the blue and white theme of this small little ice cream shop! In the front of the hallway/walkway is the place to get your ice cream and cookie. I settled on a single scoop for the night, consisting of the Cookie Monster and Root Beer flavors. After ordering my friend and I sat in their small back area that can probably seat around 10 people. I liked the contrast in the flavors that I chose; the root beer flavor was strong and was able to mimic that aftertaste sparkle you usually have when you drink soda. The cookie monster flavor was sweet and had fun chocolate chunks in the colorful scoop. There's many unique flavors they have, more than a dozen that I'd love to try in the future!

Probably one of my favorite ice cream spots in SF! The amount you get isn't overwhelming and the flavors are all so good! I love going here for the cookies as well! Such a nice after dinner treat!

Cookies n cream cookies with earl grey ice cream

Got an ice cream sandwich with their house cookies and ice cream $8 - cookies and cream cookies with earl grey ice cream. The earl grey was yummy and I wish it could be stronger. The cookies were just okay, too fluffy and not enough cookie bits. Very nice staff who helped us just before closing.

Strawberry ice cream in a purple cone

We stopped by for something sweet. We had some strawberry ice cream in a purple cone and it was delicious. They had plenty of seating for us in their establishment and they served us right away. They had merchandise with their company available for purchase and cute accessories. It was a cute dessert spot and I love this area to walk around and shop.

    Sarah C.

gets pretty busy and there are limited seating! we tried the drumstick ice cream cookie sandwich (peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, cookies & cream cookie) ($8) and a single scoop of caramel cookie dough ice cream ($5). the drumstick flavor was pretty interesting! and all the ice cream flavors tasted very much like the flavor name, no surprises. the cookies were a bit chunky for an ice cream sandwich, but they were toasted and warm which was nice

Stopped by on my way home to the Sunset from the Financial District, looking for a little pick-me-up after my mid-dinner. I'm a simple man--I love vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. This place does both, and the idea of a freshly baked cookie shaped into a cup to hold my scoop of ice cream was genius. The setup is straightforward: street parking, order at the ice cream display case, and pay at the kiosk. The gentleman working inside was very kind and welcoming, offering samples of their flavors before customers commit. As soon as I saw the vanilla bean seeds in the vanilla ice cream, I knew I had to get it. He was also proud to mention that everything, including the cookies, is made fresh in-house--that level of care makes a big difference. The shop has a bright and inviting atmosphere with a clean, modern design. The seating near the front provides a nice spot to enjoy your treat, and there's outdoor seating as well for those who prefer fresh air. Along the walls, they display tubs of their flavors in large refrigerator, and they also have merch for sale. Prices are fair for the quality and location. A simple yet well-executed concept with top-notch ingredients and great service. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again.

The dessert version of a bread bowl is an edible ice cream cup. In this case, it's cookies. They have limited flavors of cookie cups aside from the cookies, which the friendly worker listed for anyone ordering a cookie item. I opted for the chocolate chip cookie cup, which had an unexpected hint of cinnamon and sea salt. For ice cream I got Nutella banana which I got to sample beforehand. It had that real banana flavor and not artificial like a candy taste. The Nutella flavor is light and compliments the banana well. My only complaint is the texture is very chalky. The more you have it, the more present it is. I'm not sure what causes this and if it's present in other flavors. It's a bit distracting and makes the eating experience a bit unpleasant.

It's tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For the best experience, enjoy your pastries while they're still warm--they taste even better fresh out of the oven. I came by on a Friday around 11 am and it was so hard to find parking. There's street parking available but it was all filled up and I ended up getting dropped off since I saw the line forming outside the bakery. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. My boyfriend really enjoyed this croissant and wouldn't stop talking about it for a few hours.

We waited about an hour on a Friday morning. On to the baked goods, it was some of the best bakery goods I've tried ever. Everything was delicious in every way. The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.

I've always wanted to try this place since I see a line every time I walked by. There's a lot of foot and car traffic. It's definitely a busy area so expect to park in one of the nearby residential areas or be extremely and walk/bike/bus here! Upon stepping into the tiny shop, I was enveloped in the sweet smell of chocolate chip cookies. It was tempting to put that in my bag, but I stuck with my game plan. They do self serve for all the baked goods and drinks except the pizza and focaccia. You tell the cashier what you grabbed. There's self serve complimentary water on the side too. Got a pecan swirl, one of each square focaccia flavors, and a half pizza (hot). The pizza flavor of the day was triple mushroom with sesame ginger garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella. It was 10/10 delicious!! Do note that they don't heat up the focaccia. Personally, after tasting everything, I'd say the pizza is more worth it than the focaccia "pizzas". The pecan roll was quite addicting too. You can also skip the line if you want to order online on their website and schedule a pick up time, but my gift card didn't work so I just waited in line.
