Saw all the hype on TikTok. Decided to check it out. I thought the name was unique but it's also functional. It's Ben scoops.... ice cream that someone else has made. It's located in a lively food hall inside of the Enclave. The service was nice. They were out of many of their flavors. I thought for the price, they were more like scoops instead of SCOOPS. The ice cream was just okay. The banana ice cream wasn't banana-y. The vanilla with almonds was just okay. Bottom line: I wouldn't seek this out. If I was at the enclave, I'd get a scoop if I was in the mood.

I tried the hojicha ice cream. The small is $7-8 and they do give 2 scoops which was filling. You can get up to 2 flavors in the small size. But at 3pm on a Saturday, they were unfortunately out of a lot of flavors :/ The hojicha flavor was just right! The ice cream was fairly creamy but not the most creamy I've had. I would expect to like their ice cream more for a place that's rated so highly but just my opinion. The workers are kind too!

Ice cream place inside The Enclave food court. They were out of a few flavors and they don't offer samples. I had the rocky road which was good and hubby had the durian which he LOVED. Not a place I would seek out but it's good it's in the food court.

Stopped by for lunch at the Enclave, and decided to walk around and stumbled across this little gem. Ben Scoops has a great assortment of Filipino inspired flavors and regular ice cream flavors. By the time I got there later in the afternoon a lot of their flavors were sold out. I ordered a small, which comes with 2 scoops; I ordered the coconut pineapple and halo halo. The coconut pineapple stole the show for me; rich, creamy coconut flavor with a hint of pineapple. Refreshing and delicious. The halo halo was also creamy with bits of agar, beans, and other fillings, it was solid. I love this place, highly recommend.

My friend and I came Sunday afternoon and didn't realize it was in a plaza with plenty of other food options. Plenty of parking in the front and back so no worries on that. You order at the register and then they will call your name through a window. I got the grasshopper pie and strawberry. It was really good. Honestly I liked the strawberry more than the grasshopper pie. It just tasted like real strawberries. Combo seems weird but it was good. I would come again to try their other flavors. There are a lot of seating inside and outside. They also have restrooms.

Easy eats ice cream with a bunch of Filipino flavors. Went after dinner for a bit of dessert. Parking was a bit confusing - there's a lot of electric vehicle parking (which should have but did not think to use), but found regular parking further out. The ice cream spot is in the food court area near the restrooms. Menu consists of many different Filipino and some regular flavors. Ended up getting a split scoop of ube and macapono. Was well made - def more natural tasting than others I had. Would def come back!

Cute little ice cream shop located inside enclave. Their flavors are unique and I couldn't wait to try them! We ordered their ube and mint, and lychee and cantaloupe. They were all so good! The fruity ice creams tasted just like the fruits and had little pieces in them. Service was awesome! The owner was really nice! Their ice cream is a bit on the pricier side but I still Can't wait to go back and try other flavors on their menu!

Ugh, so pricey but so good. I had this place on my list for a while because I love ice cream, and the Filipino flavors looked divine. I tried their non-dairy ice cream, coffee and toasted coconut, and it was surprisingly sooo creamy. As a lactose-intolerant person, I'm over water-based ice cream or fruity sorbets. I have major fomo seeing other people getting tastier flavors lol. These flavors were so rich and delicious. I would have loved to try their matcha and almond coconut but they were sold out /: $9 for a small scoop iiiiis wild though. Glad I tried it but I don't see myself as a regular here because of the prices and limited non-dairy flavors.

Super cute little spot with surrounding restaurants. I wish there were samples, I feel like that's the fun of ice cream spots. The ice cream was very creamy and not too sweet. The espresso ice cream is very strong in coffee flavor, the toffee in it was so good. I like that you can do up to two flavors in a small size without an upcharge. Finally, a Filipino ice cream shop that is close to my house. Ben scoops is the best place to go for your Filipino ice cream fix they got the various flavors like macapuno, mango, pineapple, jackfruit, and believe they even have durian. They even have halo halo flavor too. Service is quick, place is clean and inviting.

This place needs to be more well known! Their Filipino (and classic) flavors are so interesting and there's so many of them! We got single scoop, but you're allowed up to two flavors so you technically get two scoops! I got the ube flavor and the macapuno flavor and they were so tasty! The ube even had ube chunks in them so you know it's real ube in there! read more

Been here 4 times this week to try new flavors and I'm a fan of all flavors! My favorite is single scoop of ube and mango, def the best mango and ube ice cream I've had! The workers there are nice and very helpful with the ice cream they're serving :) def a family type of vibe especially with it being a Filipino owned/inspired shop! A great big triple-scoop Yelp thank you to fellow Elite '22, Alana M. for posting her pics of Ben Scoops! If it wasn't for Alana's pics, I wouldn't have known about this shop as soon as I did. What is so special about this place is that it is the ONLY SoCal retailer to serve Mitchell's ice cream, which is a legacy family business based in San Francisco. Having spent 7 years living there (late 90s to early 00s), I had my share (and more) of their yummy goodness at their Mission District shop on San Jose Avenue. Mitchell's is known for their myriad of delectable flavors, as well as tropical flavors such as cantaloupe, ube (Filipino purple yam), avocado and halo-halo (Filipino dessert - 'party in a cup'). Mitchell's is so good and such an integral part of the city's fabric that you can count on there being a sizeable queue outside the store even on a chilly/foggy, 50-degree weather SF evening. Customers will be bundled up in their warm hoodies/beanies/boots while enjoying ice cream...how very San Francisco! Hubs and I have made regular trips up to the Bay Area over the past few years and Mitchell's is always a 'must stop' on our to-do list. On our last trip a few months ago in August, we were primarily in the San Jose area BUT made it a point to drive an hour up to SF since it has been a few years since the last time we had a taste of Mitchell's (thanks to COVID). All this for ice cream you might ask??? We have always joked about if it was possible to somehow bring home a tub or two of their ice cream or even have it shipped. Sadly, per their website, they do not ship...anywhere. They do, however, offer DoorDash and UberEats or store pick-up for those in the local area. Flash forward to NOW, October 2022, we can now get Mitchell's (yes, it's the bonafide real thing) and it's only a 25-mile drive (as opposed to a 400-mile drive) away in the city of Carson. Ben Scoops is the cozy and cute ice cream shop that is owned by Ben, who we had the chance to meet and chat with during our impromptu visit. He gave us a brief history on how his brick and mortar location came to fruition and how it's doing after a month of being open. It's refreshing to hear from business owners such as Ben, who shared not only his challenges and struggles but also his hopes and dreams for the future. A few things to keep in mind: Plenty of parking. The storefront is a bit hidden behind other shops in the plaza, look for the eye-catching signs in the parking lot. You can order single, double and triple scoops as well as pre-packed pints/quarts/half-gallons (yes, we got a half-gallon of avocado! in addition to two doubles haha!). 10-12 flavors freshly scooped at any given time, not the 30+ flavors like at the SF store. Samples galore...=) Kind, personal and enthusiastic customer service, just like how ice cream shops should be! Definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for quality ice cream and service with a smile! Another business added to our South Bay Eats list! Go upwards and onwards Ben Scoops, we're all rooting (and scooping) for you! read more

Thanks to Ben, you now can taste the world famous Mitchell's Ice Cream of San Francisco in Carson. After more than 10 years of asking the owner to allow Ben to sell Mitchell's in the LA area, the owner finally gave him the green light. Along with the more exotic Filipino ice cream flavors such as ube, halo-halo, macapuno, mango, avocado, and jackfruit, you will find other of his American favorites such as a crowd pleasing vanilla or rocky road. Some flavors will sell out such as Mitchell's coffee ice cream. Just opened one month ago, I don't think the word has spread yet that you can now get your Mitchell's Ice Cream fix in Carson. This is a destination ice cream and worth the trip to Carson if you're a fan of high quality ice cream. read more

I've been going to this ice cream establishment several times now and every time I go there, I order different flavors-and each one does not disappoint. My favorite flavor is Kalamansi and mango sherbet-- absolutely delicious and flavorful! The service is excellent and the place is very clean. The only drawback to this place is that it's hidden; it's located at the very corner of a number of businesses. If it was more exposed at some other location, their business would be booming. This is truly a hidden gem for me. read more

I spent half of the day detailing my wife's car. It was a hot say so I packed up the family and went to Bens scoop. I had seen this place last week when we went to Back home in Lahaina. There is plenty of parking and the actual store is in the very middle of the building complex. The ice cream was amazing and the selection if flavors was right up my alley. I got the red sorbet in a cup. The Ice cream is legit. The texture screams high quality and the serving size was fair. My kids and wife got macapuno, ube, and I believe rocky road. I tried them all and they tasted like it was a notch or two above the competition. I will get the wife to come back and pick us up some more ice cream after work. Great hole in the wall place to get your ice cream fixing! I was looking for some dessert after kbbq dinner, and this shop popped up. It's 5 stars for a reason! They have quality ice cream, a great variety of flavors and the owner was super nice and accommodating! I tried a few flavors, including macapuno (coconut), espresso toffee chip and green tea. They were all so good! Full of real flavor and ingredients like coconut pulp, espresso beans, and real matcha flavor. I ended up choosing coconut and green tea in a single scoop. For anyone looking for the place, pull into the parking lot and you'll find the shop tucked in the far back center of the shopping plaza, in between the two pillars. They also have a sign attached to the pillar, so if you see the sign, go on in. I think because the shop is so new and tucked away, they don't have a lot of foot traffic. I hope more people find this place, because it really is a great mom & pop type vibe with really good ice cream. They really do deserve community support! read more

I adore this place and am so happy to have it nearby. We've been twice since it opened. Ben is the nicest and always very welcoming, generous with the samples, and patient while we make the very hard decision of what flavors to get. I like that there are Filipino flavors, as well as "regular" ones like rocky road and peanut butter etc, and seasonal ones. My favorites are mango and pistachio and my bf loves the macapuno. You really can't go wrong with any of them. We'll be back to try them all! read more

The girl working was very nice, she noticed it was our first time there and gave us the general overview. There weren't many flavors but the ones they have are really good. There's a gorgeous mural on the wall which contributes to the overall good vibes. It's tucked back in a corner a little but the parking isn't too bad. Overall, a good spot, decent prices, and a hefty single scoop. read more

Never had avocado ice cream so I just went straight into that seasonal goodness . The mango ice cream sources mangos straight from the Philippines adding that extra level of goodness. My gf didn't want dairy and opted for the mango / raspberry sorbet . She ate it all up lol. Overall this local spot is a hit , I can't wait to see what flavors he brings out for summer. read more

What else can be said about this place? It's delicious. I mean that sincerely. There was a point in the summer I was buying a half gallon of mango ice cream every two weeks because I loved it so much. The owner, Mr. Ben, is easily one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. We were looking for an ice cream shop near our home in Carson and found this place on yelp. Saw that they have ube and mango ice cream and there were other filipino ice cream flavors too so we went to try. We got ube, mango, grasshopper pie(mint choco), marble fudge and their new flavor which is coconut pineapple and ALL OF IT WERE SOOOO GOOD! The mango ice cream tastes like the one i eat in the Philippines -- Sweet mangoes!! Their ube is good too, not too sweet and really tastes like Ube. Their coconut pineapple is A MUST TRY! We enjoyed going here and Kuya, who i think is also the owner, was so nice to us and the service was amazing! :) they do have seats inside and outside which is also great. This is the best ice cream I have had. They serve Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco. The fruits are directly from the Philippines. The ice cream is fragrant and fresh tasting. Texture is also perfect. Ben, the owner, is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about his products. He is an owner who has a real passion for what he serves. The price is very reasonable. I got the mango and ube double scoop. They were really good. The mango tasted like the sweet Filipino mangoes that I remember. Ube did not have the strong artificial ube flavor and has actual ube chunks. Ben was really nice and you can tell that he loved interacting with the people that came in. For a while T-Mobile gave out coupons on Tuesdays for BR and I came here to redeem them a few times. If you join their rewards, they will send you a Free Kids Scoop for your birthday. Come visit on the 31st day of the month for a 31% discounted scoop. Service is hit and miss. Most of the time we get helped by polite & helpful staff. You can pick up pre-made cakes, bars, and pre-packed pints from the freezer cases near the back of the store. This is our go-to Baskin Robbins and will be back in!
