We love Benders and come here often. In the warmer months we prefer to sit outside. However, the desperately need to power wash the patio, chairs, and tables. Heck maybe even get new tables out there so they are actually easy to clean, because of the slots there is always old food and dog hair stuck to the tables which make it hard to enjoy our food. Plus all the food stains, grease etc attract a lot of birds which also makes it enjoyable. Please get the patio cleaned and look into new furniture so we can enjoy the outside more! Also, I had no idea there was a new owner until I read another review on here, so new owner, please update the patio!! read more

Came in on a playoff night when it was Mother's Day not expecting much but left pleasantly surprised! I was shocked to find the place mostly empty (probably due to the holiday) but the staff made my whole experience! I have had the experience of staff being rude or off putting to me when I am one of the only patrons, but that was not my experience here! Super bummed this is one of my go to places for their buffalo chicken salads. But not today not today .. Actually, I'm not quite sure how I feel about this today. Well, one thing I asked for ranch and blue cheese. They only gave us ranch. I had three salads cost $55 so I'm sure I was charged for the extra three blue cheese as I did not receive. . I can look past that but the thing I'm having a hard time with is that there was a dead ladybug in my salad.. I am so glad I did not eat it that would've been crunchy.. I understand the cost of running a business is not cheap and I'm willing to pay, I tip 20% and up for good service which I did today, I do have a problem paying a 3% appreciation to the kitchen staff FEE, that I am totally unaware of until I say yes I would like my receipt, and that's when I find out about this restaurants added FEE Please be upfront with your added fees, "at the door, obviously printed on your menu, or being informed from the waitress, so I can make the decision to patronize your establishment or take my business elsewhere. I imagine 95% of your patrons are totally unaware of this fee, because we all tap your handheld payment machine and add the tip and never really get a receipt. Thank not sure if we will return! If you're coming here to watch any sport besides football, don't bother. They won't play the sound for anything else. We came in to watch the Sweet 16, and the waitress flat-out refused to turn on the audio for any game--but if you're into yacht rock, they'll play that all day. It's a shame because the place has potential: plenty of TVs, comfortable seating, and a solid setup. But how can you call yourself a sports bar if you won't actually play the sound for live sports? I visit Bender's pretty often now that my boyfriend plays at this hockey rink. It's super nice to be able to enjoy some munchies, a full meal, or just a drink when at the rink (all ages allowed)! They have a quite a list of options on their menu and the food is pretty good. For some reason I always gravitate to the baked potato because I feel I don't see it much on menus anymore and they do it right here. In town on vacation and went to this sports bar for dinner. At first it was hard to find because I did not know you had to park and walk to the front entrance since it wasn't visible from parking lot. It was semi packed due to Nuggets playoff game and service was decent. Pizza was delicious, beers were good size, chips and queso were good, and the buffalo wrap was just okay. I recently started eating here at least once a week with my man. We always have a good time and enjoy the atmosphere. When we were there last night Crista was taking care of us, while training another young lady, when an obviously inebriated patron came in with a friend and sat by us at the bar. He wasn't acting right; was blatantly rude and even whistled at Crista to try to get service. Crista handled herself respectfully and professionally and did not allow him to continue being disrespectful to her or her trainee and ensured we as her other customers were no longer disturbed by his antics. During football season if you are a Nebraska fan, you have to hit up Benders for a game. We were there for the CU vs. NU game and the atmosphere was electric! Service and food were excellent, staff very friendly and had a sense of urgency in getting drinks and food out in a timely manner. Benders is next to an ice center and one window overlooks an ice rink. Hockey games or figure skating may be seen. There is also a deck on the front that faces a fountain. I usually order their nachos with chicken. A team nacho serves a small team, about 5. And surprisingly they have really good gluten free pizza. The crust is crispy with a golden color and is such a welcome change from soggy crusts. The wait staff is pretty friendly when I've gone in. Went ice skating with some friends and they wanted to go to Bender's after. She said it was super close, but I didn't realize I close! Ha! I'm not local, so I had no idea it's literally connected to the ice rink. We got the pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and the giant cookie. Oh man! The pizza was delicious! Literally never had wings or margs this bad in my life. The crispy wings were mutated and might not have actually even been chicken wings. The "spicy marg" tasted like somebody put 7-up in a class and mixed it with tajin. The side of carrots and celery was I kid you not 2 small carrots and 2 pieces of celery. The only reason this place even got two stars is because the location is awesome. If you're looking for any type of food or drink, turn around and sprint the other direction. I have been here a couple of times and the food is absolutely legendary. I have tried multiple items on the menu and they are always fresh and delicious, plus you get a view of a Hockey game or practice which is fun. The Ambience is great and feels like a true sports bar, complete with Jerseys and TV's everywhere. We came across Benders as a place to watch a football game that is not typically on in the Denver area. I will not go back. The food was incredibly lackluster, I could barely finish my wings. Everything seemed so deep fried and greasy. Of course it's bar food, but it was overly greasy. I can get over bad bar food... I've had plenty of it. But the service was terrible. It was a Sunday morning and besides the bar seats being full with regulars, there were only a few other tables. We would wait 10-15 minutes for a beer sometimes (we were there a few hours). At least he brought drinks, but walked away without asking if we wanted appetizers or to order anything. My blood sugar was low and I really needed something to eat. Mac and cheese with pulled pork literally had 1 teaspoon of pork (do not believe the pictures you see with loads of pulled pork) and it was ice cold. came out on a skillet which normally the waitress will say be carful that's a hot skillet. nope ice cold skillet. Mac and cheese all stuck together showed the server and she looked a bit shocked and said let me bring these back and have them cook them ???? shouldn't they have been cooked before being served? how did the waitress not know. dishes were cold we were not offered any compensation. Hands down benders has some of the worst bar food to offer. This place sits on a gold mine being connected to the very busy hockey rink. It's sad because this place could be a good sports bar. While they have all major sports packages, this place is a total let down from a food and beverage perspective. Their beer selection is meh and I've had a few off tasting brews here as well. As for their food, it's definitely below average bar food. This place really needs to get their act together, change their menu and get a new cooking staff. The service here isn't great but everyone is really friendly. This place just isn't run well which is the problem. Sadly while I'm stuck at the rink I have to frequent here often. I haven't had anything from their menu I've actually liked. I went out on a limb the last time and tried their penne Alfredo with chicken. Wow...this was some of the worst pasta I've ever had. I seriously had better food in high school then what was served to me. The Alfredo sauce was terrible likely from a can, the pasta was fake with a peculiar texture and they chopped up chicken tenders and tossed it in with the Alfredo.
