Wildly disappointing experience, and an absolutely absurd way to treat customers. We had just finished celebrating a friend's birthday at a nice dinner and stopped in afterward hoping to have a cocktail and continue the celebration. We happened to be carrying a bag containing our leftover filets from the restaurant where we had eaten. We were told we could not stay because we had leftovers from another restaurant with us -- and were actually told that they could be fined by the health department simply because we had outside leftovers in the restaurant. To be clear: we weren't asking to eat the food there. We weren't opening it, serving it, or bringing in outside drinks. It was a bag of packaged leftovers we were carrying while trying to order cocktails and celebrate a birthday. Instead of handling the situation with even a little hospitality or common sense, they turned us away because we had a bag of leftover steaks. If this is genuinely their policy, it is an astonishingly customer-hostile one. If it isn't actually a health department requirement, then blaming the health department makes the interaction even more ridiculous. Either way, they made the decision very easy for us: we will never be back, and I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone looking for hospitality. Went a little late after some fireworks on the night before the 4th of July but wasn't too busy. Nice little dive bar. Was told that we had plenty of time to order food and drinks, so we bellied up to the bar. Wasn't busy but for only one waitress/bartender/to-go expert, she seemed overwhelmed. This place deserves 5 stars from walking in I was greeted to the atmosphere .... This is the place to be for games! Mannnn even on a Monday I came in and got the happy hour which already I'm buzzing it! lol but my server (Danielle) was very on point , friendly and just down to earth. Still attentive to the customers and made sure I got great hospitality. The wings were piping hot, not over cooked and full of flavor. I love the karaoke option as well so as I was grubbing I was playing my favourite toons. It's in a shopping plaza so there is other things to go to or do. But this place is it and I do definitely plan on coming back. Didn't get a chance to try all their drinks but I got a patron shot and tried Uinta beer (from Utah) and it hit the spot! Food is overall good, service can definitely improve. Visited on a Monday evening, arrived about 620pm, didn't get to order any drinks for at least 10 minutes. Ordered food about 15 mins later, and took 55 mins to get our food. Plates were brought out one at a time about 10 mins apart. One order was messed up 3 times. Server didn't write our order down, so we feel like he forgot our order. read more

Was out in the Arvada/Westminster area running errands and dropped on in. Cool lil pub with tons of tvs everywhere, so if a sporting event is on you will not miss it. I have been there other locations to watch UFC Fights. There are plenty of high top tables for small or lunch gatherings of ya peeps. Today we just say at the long cool bar to enjoy some food and a cold beer.Our luck it was 2 for 1 happy hour on domestic beers!!! The food is good and healthy portions. We had the garlic burger & Reuben sandwich. Both came with fries and this addictive Crack sauce they have.....its so good you just want more & more! The staff were mad cool and attentive. I'm going to get straight to it. The smoked wings here are absolutely incredible. Like fall off the bone quality. They maintain a very nice crispness outside and a soft tenderness on the inside. They have a variety of flavors and they all hit. The sweet chili is the most popular. They have a TouchTunes machine here with a lot of music. I had a duel with a woman. I kept playing Bad Bunny and she was playing Avenged Sevenfold. Very weird night If you need a solid place for wings this is it. My mother-in-law is in town, and we were hoping to show her a cool spot to watch the World Series. We were immediately let down. We waited to be greeted for about 15 minutes after we sat, all while actively making eye contact with employees behind the bar; they just sort of looked at us and kept ignoring us. We had to actively seek out service EVERY time we needed literally anything. It didn't get any better after that, as nobody came to our table to check on the food, refill drinks, or anything. Not a single time. The only time any front of house staff was attentive to us was when we were paying our bill, and he was breathing down our necks and rushing us despite obviously not caring about our experience up to that point. Meanwhile, there was a server running around attending to every other table except for ours. Not sure why we were singled out to be ignored. Last but not least, half the tables around us were full of dirty dishes and glasses for HOURS. And I do mean hours. As a fellow food service employee in the Denver area, this was extremely unprofessional to witness and, quite frankly, gross. All in all, terrible service, terrible experience, and will never be back. Will also be informing everybody I know to avoid this establishment. read more

Zach and I just went under contract on a house in Westminster (yay!) and were looking for some food in our new neighborhood after completing the inspection. We decided to check out Bout Time and I'm so glad we did! This was a Friday around 4:30 or 5 but the place wasn't too packed yet. We easily found seats at the bar. The menu has a TON of great sounding items and they had some daily food and drink specials ($4 fireball and jager shots...trouble). I ordered the sliders and Zach had the shrimp po' boy. You can see in the photos that this was a TON of food; shrimp was not a good descriptor of that particular sandwich. I was expecting 3 sliders because that seems to be the typical size at most places, but this order came with 4 really good sized sliders and fries. The food was amazing. I'm salivating thinking about those sliders now... This would have been 5 stars but they seemed a little short-staffed. When we arrived there was only one bartender for the bar and dining room, so ordering food and a second round took a bit of time. Another bartender came in around 6 but it was to relieve the first of the lunch shift, so when we left there was still only one person for the whole place for a Friday night. Both bartenders were SUPER friendly despite being busy. I'm not sure if someone was coming in later, if that's their normal staffing, or if they were just shorthanded that night, but I'll definitely come back to this place regardless. My girlfriend and I usually meet up a couple of times a week for lunch and our little local spots have been disappointing so we chose something new which was this spot.... We walked in. It was clean. We were greeted by the bartender/server immediately, which I like. We chose to sit at the bar which was very cool because it was the kitchen window so we could see all the food coming and going they were other people there ordering food we saw a variety of sandwiches and burgers coming out the window, and they looked amazing! My girlfriend and I chose to have a pizza which was very cool to see on the menu and we also chose to have salads before our pizza came out fresh crisp greens, and also fresh real bacon. Bits came on the salad in the ranch dressing was also fresh. Yum Yum! The ambience was great. It was several TVs in the pub itself so there was a little bit of everything to watch as we waited for our pizza to be made. It came out in about 35 minutes which was appropriate time and it was delicious pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms, we chose not to have the mushrooms, but it was delicious either way! The bartender/server was great with us. She choked around, was very pleasant and checked on us periodically as well as everybody else that was there having lunch that day. Not many people and was greeted pretty quickly. Waitress was very nice. The beer was off. My guinness tasted like it was watered down and it had a weird campfire taste. My wife had a blue moon that tasted watered down and something was off. The potato chips in the irish nachos were burnt and so black they should not have put them in front of us. I'm so sad! Used to just love coming here for their absolutely fabulous Rubens!! But things seem to have taken a turn for the worse over the past year. The last 2 times I went in for lunch, the corned beef "just went in the oven" and wouldn't be available for hours. Once I can understand, twice makes me think that this is status quo now. I sadly settled on another sandwich, which arrived with stale burned fries and no utensils. Couldn't get the waitress's attention, finally went up to the bar to ask for a knife, which she could've just handed me. Instead it took another several minutes while my sandwich got cold. I dined with a friend at the location that is on South Platte River Dr. I like to come here because of the variety of options offered on the menu, especially the Monte Cristo sandwich. It's my favorite!! However, I was disappointed this particular visit because we were charged for splitting a sandwich. We didn't ask for separate plates with our own fries. My friend and I just wanted to share a sandwich. She had never been to this restaurant nor had she ever tried a Monte Cristo sandwich. We also were charged for asking for more Raspberry Preserves. It's a pretty big sandwich and the little side they give you with the sandwich is NEVER enough. And then we got a "service charge"??? What the heck? Talk about being nickel and dimed for a meal at lunch time. If we had of been told about all the "extra" charges then maybe we as customers would have options of saying no or not sharing. What was worse is for days after our visit, I tried calling the restaurant so that I could speak with a manager and nobody ever answered the phone. I literally tried 3 different times. We've live literally a block away for 5+ years and stop by for football season...word to the wise? Expect to pay more than what the menu says. We stopped by 10/2021 and paid $60+ for 2 orders of wings and 4 larger draft beers/drinks. According to the menu provided, the drinks were $6.95 (x4 which would be $27.80 before tax) plus wings which were 11.95 (or $23.90 for 2 orders) so how did we pay over $60 before tips? Assuming a 8.25% tax, we shouldnt have be charged more than $55.96....pretty sure the menus are WAY OUTDATED so expect to pay more than you're actually quoted. We stop by bc it's literally up the road but these missteps are honestly the most annoying part about coming here. Expect very slow wait staff as they tend to the regulars that stop by everyday/weekend before they get to semi-regulars. It's annoying. And getting old. read more

The saltiest pub food on God's green earth. Im not exaggerating either, 30+ years of sampling pub food from coast to coast, and this is the saltiest I've ever experienced. If you enjoy eating salt by the spoonful and literally burning your mouth with it, then this is the place for you. We tried the food a couple/few years ago, and it was inedible then due to how salty it was. Decided to give it another try, and we were surprised to find it was the same. Had the French dip this time and thought the salt was possibly restricted to the au jus, but to our surprise, it was everything, the rings, the sauce, even the meat itself. "Chain" bar and grub joint. Frequented the location on 38th but decided to give this a go as it's much closer to our home. Staff wasn't so friendly. Beer and food all the same. This spot is larger or has larger televisions at least. The 38th location had more of a family fun vibe. This seems like a place locals visit a lot, which is fine. But I didn't feel that welcomed compared to the old 38th location. Shared parking lot but the only time you may have an issue is for a big weekend Broncos game. No booths inside but plenty of tables but high and low. Seating at the bar generally gets you the best service. Works if you are in the area. Want a beer or some food. Bring your friends. But don't expect a Cheers welcome if you are new to this spot. read more

The staff deserves 5 stars. Erin was a 5 star in taking care of our order. Really friendly, helpful and attentive service to us. We tried Cap'n Morgan smoked wings with blue cheese and Bout Time pizza. The food was fresh, but a little oily (for me) for the pizza. The meat and veg on the pizza were saute really good. My husband liked it for the tasty 5 toppings. I appreciated the side of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Very reasonable beer prices. I'd like to try the patio some afternoon. We had plenty of social distance space inside. Lots of sports screens. Seemed like caring staff who want and appreciate their regulars .... even though this was our first visit. Customers shouldn't worry about paying their tab right after receiving their food just because a servers shift has come to an end.
