Went to happy hour here today. Crowd wasn't that great, but the staff was attentive and courteous. I would probably go back again

Great local find. It's a bar. The decor is well, a bar…read more Stopped in for late lunch. Server was "Em". Awesome! Super service. Made the difference between a 4 star and 5 star. We both ordered the 3 Skewers I did fried shrimp with fries. My companion ordered the same with grilled shrimp and a salad. Portions. Ample. Sauces. Delicious. Food. Excellent. Price. Reasonable.

We happened to be carrying a bag containing our leftover filets from the restaurant where we had eaten. We were told we could not stay because we had leftovers from another restaurant with us -- and were actually told that they could be fined by the health department simply because we had outside leftovers in the restaurant. To be clear: we weren't asking to eat the food there. We weren't opening it, serving it, or bringing in outside drinks. It was a bag of packaged leftovers we were carrying while trying to order cocktails and celebrate a birthday. Instead of handling the situation with even a little hospitality or common sense, they turned us away because we had a bag of leftover steaks. If this is genuinely their policy, it is an astonishingly customer-hostile one. If it isn't actually a health department requirement, then blaming the health department makes the interaction even more ridiculous. Either way, they made the decision very easy for us: we will never be back, and I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone looking for hospitality. By the way her name was Mellisa.

This bartender did not contact the police and did absolutely nothing aside from apologize for the incident with the man like that makes it any better. Enjoyed pool and darts, but was very dissatisfied with everything that came of this. Very dissatisfied with how she handled the situation. If you are a younger female beware of going to this dive and going to the restroom alone.

SHRINKFLATION at its best!!!! Lawwwddd, I thought Hoffbrau would be immune to this kinda sh*t. I…read morewas wrong. One of the area's best restaurants that had large portions for an affordable price just transformed itself into every other a**hole restaurant in the city. We were regular customers of this place, so we knew the menu, knew the prices, and knew the portions. We usually shared an appetizer and a meal, but after they got rid of the best chili cheese fries in the world (it was always a mountain of fries smothered in red chili and cheese, and served on an iron skillet - but for some unknown reason, they decided to get rid of red chili after decades). So, we were like, let's just each get our own meal, then. We ordered a cheesesteak and a buffalo chicken wrap. We've never seen portions this small *anywhere*, let alone at Hoffbrau. The $17 dollar cheesesteak was served on a HOT DOG BUN. Yes, you heard me right -- a standard, grocery-store-sized hot dog bun!!!! My girlfriend ate the entire thing in like 5 bites. Yes, a cheesesteak! The buffalo wrap was about 1/3 of the size of most other buffalo wraps you'd get at like Applebee's or something. If you're cutting down on chicken, at least stuff the thing with lettuce or something. But this was only slightly bigger than a Taco Bell burrito. I'm just gonna stick with the wrap at Tavern on Blake, it's the same price, but triple the size. I don't understand when places do stuff like this. It's unbelievable. If inflation is hurting the business, either raise prices or reduce portions. Don't freakin' do both!!!! If you're gonna serve an adult a child-sized cheesesteak on a hot dog bun, maybe do it for like $10.99 or $12.99 or something. But if you're gonna charge $17 for a cheesesteak, at least make it a big one. This visit cost us $50 bucks for 2 sandwiches and 2 Bud Lights. And we both left a bit hungry. We just came out of Hoffbrau (one of our all-time favorite places), vowing never to go back. Ps, just because it's Colorado, doesn't mean people should be forced to eat only green chili.
