DO NOT BOOK WITH DJURA. I did a brow wax with her and she pulls so hard, she ripped the skin off my face and made me bleed. (I was wondering why she was wiping my brows so much.) See photos of the space between my eyes the morning after my service (12 hours later). My skin also started to bump because she pulls in a variety of directions, both with and against the direction of my hair growth. Sitting there with my eyes closed, I was very concerned, but when I checked the mirror, nothing was actually bleeding. I just looked red, which is normal after a brow wax. Overnight, things changed--I had some scabs between my eyes and one of the small wounds had opened back up and was bleeding. The red patches were visible in my video chats with coworkers. Note - I had not used any peels or serums in the prior 2 weeks and had been wearing sunscreen because of recent heat waves in NYC. I truly would never post pics of my bad skin unless I absolutely had to -- so here I am to make this point. Her customer service is also quite aggressive. After an intense, unfriendly brow sesh, she added me to her "customer list" and gave me her personal cell phone to book with her directly. I got the hell out of the Macy's afterwards and made a mental note not to see her again. I've been a Benefit Brow customer for over a decade and have never had any of their aestheticians make me feel this uncomfortable. There's a ton of training they go through to avoid situations like this, which is why I continue to come back. Attempts to contact customer service for a refund went nowhere because apparently it's managed boutique by boutique. Attempts to call the store manager went unanswered. So here I am being a full on Karen blasting on Yelp so no one else has this experience. Note - I have also seen Millie, who's wonderful, friendly, and skilled, so this review is not for her. Had to use an ointment and my face even scabbed. After spending years growing in my eyebrows, I asked for a light reshaping tweeze. She pretty much tweezed my eyebrows off completely after assuring me it would only be a light shaping. I reached out to corporate and have been told since May that someone would reach out to me. I've followed up several times and the account manager still has not gotten in touch with me. Awful customer service, and an awful experience. stay away from this location. The downtown Brooklyn location is great but I'm hesitant to give this business even a cent more of my money. read more

The customer service is non existent, I arrived to my appointment 8 min late to find out they took a walk in client so now I was shit out of luck after I left work to travel to midtown. If you have no grace period you need to state that to the customer. Or Maybe... call customer to confirm they are still coming before giving it away. If you don't honor appointments, DONT OFFER THEM. I asked to speak to the manager, was told she would come down and 20 min of waiting no one came. They finally fit me in upstairs after 50 min of waiting. Her appointment was with Della and I'm so glad that she was the one to give my daughter her first brow wax. So happy I gave this place a try. It's much more pricey than where I normally go for my brows, but I took advantage of the birthday deal (if you go the week of your birthday, with valid ID to show your date, you can get your brows down for free. which, tbh, is the best birthday gift ever). My lady was so nice & kind, we chatted about fake eyelashes and magnetic eyelashes, and she was attentive to my brows. I love Benefit products, and it was nice to be pampered on my lunch break. Having had multiple bad experiences at different brow spots, I decided to treat myself to benefit brow bar. More expensive than I usually pay and I had heard great things from friends, seeing as it's my birthday this weekend I decided to go for it. Millie did an amazing job, she was friendly and listened to what I wanted. I am so happy with my new brows. To top it off, she learnt it was my birthday this weekend and little did I know benefit offer a free brow service for anyone celebrating adding another number to their age! I grew my eyebrows out for 2 months in preparation for my birthday. I usually don't get my brows done, but because of the upcoming special occasion, I wanted to treat myself with a reputable brand such as Benefit, and I was also looking to buy new brow product too. I didn't request anyone in particular, trusting that all MUA know what they're doing & know how the modern day brows in 2018 are shaped, full & thick, especially working in a popular cosmetic section of one of the world's largest department stores in all of NYC. So I showed up to my appointment looking forward to giving my grown out eyebrows some love, I was set up with an older woman maybe in her late 50's, who was definitely nice, but seemed a bit **outdated** in terms of modern day makeup (You want to reflect the brand & product you promote/sell, right??). My eyebrows were waxed too thin from the center to middle of my brow, she also tweezed the inner section of the brows when she said she wouldn't, making my brows farther apart. My stomach was turning as I saw what she did, all I could think about was what a waste of time of growing my brows out, the $ I was going to spend on this wax, and lastly how I was going to draw back my brows to the thick shape I'm used to. I also must mention that my eyebrows came out asymmetrical, one is rounded and the other is squared, why would someone do that?! I was so embarrassed of the outcome I felt like the other associates with beautifully groomed shaped brows there were laughing inside cause I was paired with this woman that smelled like a cigarette ashtray, and how my brows looked like I came out from a 90's teen magazine. To make things less pleasant, she could not appropriately fill them in to improve the look/outcome of my newly waxed far-apart brows. Completely ruined my brows. I went in there will full brows and came out with two lines for eyebrows. It is going to months to fix this. The manager was helpful and refunded my money and tried to help but even she was in shock at the horrible job that was done to my eyebrows. The only place for perfect brows! I've been coming here for a few years now Adrienne is my girl, and Sabrina is my other girl! For about $25 you get a brow wax and brow makeup application as well - if you ask they will touch up your makeup as well, or have another artist do your makeup for you! This place can be crazy busy at times, but the ladies have always been sweet and professional. A couple of tips - call ahead and make an appointment, ( they call you the day before to confirm) they do have drop in time slots during the day. I would call ahead for that as well. Arrive early, they only give a five minute grace time for an appointment- you may luck out and get in earlier. Sweet bonus - free brow wax on your birthday, bring your ID! Away from my home country, staying two days in Manhattan, I needed to find a Brow Bar without any delay. I called Benefit at Macy's and obtained an appointment for one hour later. I arrived a bit early and had the time to look at the products. I was a little disapointed I could not find a box with a mix of small version of the products, like we can find in Europe. Right on time, Sabrina took care of me. She made by brows just as I like them: natural but perfect. Next time I'm in Manhattan, I know where to go and who to ask for. Just got back from getting my brows done with Adrienne. I've been going to Adrienne religiously since 2011, and she has never disappointed me. She knows how to give me that glam look with a perfect arch and fills in my color and highlighter so that I walk out looking fabulous. Adrienne is also very pleasant and always stylish and well made-up. I've read the other reviews and I thought it was important to share that there are other brow technicians who provide an excellent service at this location. I have seen some other employees not paying attention to prospective customers so if you're a first timer you may be a bit turned off. But I like the cleanliness and the location. I had the worst brow experience of my life today. Usually I do my brows myself, but I had a certificate for a free wax, so I thought, why not? This is the first time that I have ever disliked my brows. I have always loved having thick brows, and with only a few outliers maintain a natural semi-straight arch. I was hoping to get a cleanup and a trim. Instead, HALF OF THE TAIL WAS REMOVED even though I explicitly asked for Silvana (my aesthetician) to leave the shape be. It's going to take months to fix this. When I expressed my dismay after being handed a mirror, Silvana was disinterested and insisted that they were fine and that I was *happy with it*. Note: they were not even symmetrical anymore. I tried filling them in while still at the Benefit counter, but I don't appreciate snide comments, so after I handed in my certificate, I left... and went straight to the Anastasia counter. Fortunately, the lovely ladies (and gentleman!) at Anastasia fixed me up as much as possible. They were shocked by what had happened, even before I showed them the "before" picture. THAT'S how bad it was. Never, ever, EVER go to the Benefit brow bar unless you have an appointment with Sabrina. I haven't had an appointment with her myself, but this is what I was advised by the associates at Anastasia, Mac and online reviews. I'm so sad. Had my eyebrows done today by Sydney and oh my gosh,I have NEVER had my eyebrows done so well in my life. She did an absolutely perfect job and made sure they were precise right down to the last hair. She even showed me how to shade and brush them to make them look even better. Not cheap, but well worth the money spent. Real big shame I don't live here, otherwise I wouldn't let anyone else do my brows for me ever again. read more
