I was able to schedule for same day service so it was super convenient! I was also able to get some shopping done while waiting for my appointment, another convenience. It was my first time at the brow bar, and it was a great experience! I recommend getting the wax and relax eye mask - it was chilled out of the package!! Too bad they don't sell this. Romero was great and showed me all the points on the brows beforehand, and I was happy with my new brows afterward - more even and corrected! Was checking out the mall when visiting San Jose. Needed my brows done for the weekend in SF... anyway, went to check it out and the girl Romero took my number for an appointment an hour later. She was... hilarious! The vibe from her and the other girls from around the area was so much fun and warm! Definitely not as congested as the Macy's in Waikiki or Ala Moana... but so much more lively where people are having fun and not being bombarded with customers, ya kno? Anyway! when I tell you my brows were snatched... girl, they snatched for the gods. Will be back in another month for a wedding and will this time, I gotta book the appointment in advance. If I could give her five stars, individually, I would. There was another girl who had a sour face kinda looming the place. She didn't have a badge or anything so I figure she's a manager or LP. This place used to be great when Romero, Liesl et al were the team here. Unfortunately, they all left during the pandemic. I hesitantly scheduled an appt with the new girl, Ashley, and ended up deeply regretting it. I told her clearly that I wanted to keep my brows thick and straight across. I even had her do a brow mapping to make sure she understood what I wanted. At the end of the session, she hands me the mirror and to my horror, my brows are thin and curved. Looks awful and no way to fix it now except letting them slowly grow in. Very disappointed. read more

Erika is so fantastic and so sweet! I haven't had my eyebrows waxed in years (I usually get them threaded). I also have really thin eyebrows, so I was really worried too much would get waxed. Fortunately, she showed me what my eyebrows are supposed to look like and how she would shape them. She also gave me tips on how to clean up between appointments. Definitely make an appt ahead of time. There are walk-ins but you have to wait in between appts. The cost is a lot more than threading, but the personalized attention is worth it. It's $20 plus tip. I also bought the brow mascara, which makes a huge difference and looks more natural than pencil. read more

Simply amazing! My eyebrows were looking thin and sparse. Every time I grew them out then went somewhere to get them done it was a disaster. Now my brows look amazing! Gabby did such a good job. Some girls were born with eyebrows on fleek and some girls were born with wacky azz brows. The latter is me. My brows used to be a pain- the hairs on my brows would grow sideways, making it hard to trim, and the hair seemed to grow in a weird triangular arch that was not attractive. Luckily, back in college, I discovered Erika- the miracle brow guru from Benefit's brow bar. She is amazing at what she does and I can fully trust her in helping me fix/maintain my brows. When I had my very first consultation with her, she would explain to me what she was doing to my brows and she always checked in to see how I wanted my brows to look like. Nowadays, I just leave it up to her since she already knows what to do. Erika is such a sweetheart and she is really easy to talk to. But the most important thing of all, she puts a lot of time and effort into fixing your brows and making sure your brows look right for your face. I highly recommend making an appointment with Erika if you have problematic brows like me and need some extra TLC to fix them up. Appointments can be made by calling the Macy's number - dial 8 for the Benefits counter and you will reach the stores associates at Benefit who can help you schedule a time. Typically, Erika is booked fully on Saturdays and you would need to call the store ahead of time in order to schedule a Saturday appointment with her. FYI- Gabby is also great and I would schedule an appointment with her if Erika is fully booked. The Benefit Brow Bar also have walk in appointments where you may be able to just go to the store without an appointment scheduled and add your name to a list where the brow specialists may be able to help you given the free availability they have that day. I would not recommend walk in appointments because it is a hassle waiting and you are not guaranteed an appointment. Its best to just call to schedule an appointment in advance. The brow wax service is usually about $21 dollars. To me that is pricey, but it is worth it. Also, remember to bring cash if you want to tip because you are not able to tip via credit card. I been to other brow salons and different Benefit Brows Bars before, but I am never quite satisfied with my brow results as when I go to Erika or Gabby. I highly recommend this place! read more

I am super low maintenance and pluck my eyebrows like twice a year. It's kind of a hot mess. She first started off with a consultation, explaining step by step what she was going to do. She also kept it real, telling me that my $1 ELF brow kit had to go. Erika was super personable and very easy to talk to. The entire thing takes about 15-20 minutes, and unlike other places where your skin gets red after the waxing/threading and they let you leave like that, this brow bar does a nice touch up as well! Gaby is awesome! I went today for the first time, and I've been waxing since I was like 13, so I'm not a stranger to waxing and bad waxing jobs. I am always hesitant to moving to new waxing ladies because of the thin, round eyebrows i've had before. My regular lady is on maternity leave, so I decided to venture out and YELP it. I came across benefit and always knew about it but wasn't willing to splurge. LET ME TELL YOU. If your hair grows at a pretty moderate pace and you go about once a month or even every month and half, I feel like benefit would be a great splurge. At benefit, they're extremely clean about their waxing stuff, spend a great deal amount of time on your eyebrows, have great wax, and fill in your eyebrows beautifully! And, gaby is extremely sweet and is honest about your eyebrows and what kind of shape you should lean towards! Also, when she draws them she asks you whether you liked them drawn in light or dark which I completely respect, because i hate leaving the mall with cholita eyebrows One thing I recommend is making an appointment! You never know when it's going to fill up. Gabby was on her lunch and I had to wait even though I had an appointment and was in a rush, but I understand everybody gotta eat, so I really am not hatin on that. it is pricey, but I feel like eyebrows are 60% of what makes your face awesome, so splurging here and there isn't so bad. read more

Erika is my go to brow lady, she is seriously the bomb.com!!! I've been seeing Erika for about a year now, and it all started with birthday brows. My brows and I have been through one hell of a journey and they've been tore up more times than I can even count. After getting my birthday brows done by Erika I was amazed, for the first time in a long time my eyebrows were on fleek! That's the day I swore I'd never let anyone else touch my eyebrows. I have had a few slip ups where I couldn't get an appointment with Erika so I'd get my eyebrows threaded, but honestly, there is no comparison to Erika's work. She is very meticulous and knowledgeable in what she does. She is also very personable and professional. I love coming in to see Erika because she is very good with conversation and always remembers our previous conversations. My best advice is to seriously, book appointments asap, she's so good she's booked almost always 3 weeks in advance. I've learned my lesson when I had to cancel an appointment with her and couldn't get another one until about 3 months later! My brows were miserable in those 3 months. I was pretty damn happy with Erika. I had a severe case of botched brows. It's a long story. I got them threaded, and they came out uneven, so I tried to pluck one to even it out... it was a disaster. To top it off, my brows are naturally really faint. I decided to do the brow tint AND wax. Erika was super professional and knew what was going on. She even did a patch test with the dye first to make sure it wouldn't irritate my skin. The process took around 40 minutes, but it would probably only take 20 if you were just getting them waxed. I came out looking so much better! Erika and I were just upset that we didn't take a before-after photo. Altogether $33 well spent. Your eyebrows are like prime real estate on your face (Beverly Hills status), so you need to invest in them! I feel a lot better about leaving the house with a bare face now that my eyebrows are cleaned up and shaped. read more

I had to wait after she was done with her schedule appointment, but while she waited for them to arrived she consulted me on my eyebrows. She filled them in to see how they will look like and gave me some tips on how to grow them out. She took her time on my eyebrows, making sure I was happy with the shape. She did a great job, I love them. I been growing them out for weeks and were all over the place, Gaby was able to shape them and even give them an arc.
