We happened to catch them when they were open and decided to stop for lunch and were very happy with the service, they were very friendly and attentive. We had planed on having the Special but they were out of the Roast Beef so instead I had the Taco Salad and it was delicious! My friend had the burger and fries, she said it was amazing. Owner stayed open late to host dinner for our family after my mom's memorial service. I had steak and fries - both of which were really good - which were recommended by many! I don't know what kind of steak sauce they have but it was really good and unique. Waitresses were awesome and took care of all of us. read more

Google maps took us to their old location, they are located further down highway "K". We went on a Friday night & it was a barbecue buffet, not a fan of buffets but we tried it. The barbecue chicken was awesome, everything else was just ok. We seated ourselves & quickly realized we were in the smoking section, we moved to the other side but still find it gross. The cheeseburger is HUGE and OMG...so good! Juicy, flavorful and cooked perfectly. Loved the hand cut fries and homemade chips. All the prices are very reasonable. They offer a large variety of sides and dinners; more than just bar food. Tried a bite of my son's pizza and for thin crust it was very good. Super cheesy! My grandmother ordered a burger and the waitress thought she said booger so she picked her nose and then proceeded to hold down my 89 year old Grammy and shoved the slimy green substance down her mouth. Best burgers in the county, and hard to find one better in nearby St. Louis area. They come with made to order/fresh fried potato chips, which are pretty darn good also. Haven't tried anything else (besides adding fries) during several visits. Can't go and pass on the burger; it's near perfect, big, and cheap (around 4 bucks). Would have liked to give 4 stars, if not for a couple problems. I know a few folks (including myself) who've shown up during regular advertised hours/days to find the parking lot empty and doors locked, so call ahead or have a backup place in mind. Also, the bar area is pretty close to most of the seating, and we won't take children again without earmuffs. Edited 1/17 for the new location. Went several months back while in town and quite a change...about as modern for a small town restaurant as the last venue was divey. Keeping it at 3 stars based upon the value and experience. This is the place to go for a good burger! Steaks are always good to! Service is usually good but it can take a little while to get food sometimes. But hey, sometimes quality takes a little longer. The only issue I have is you just never know if they're going to be open. So call ahead to find out if they're open or not. read more

Yelp says they offer take out but they do NOT allow take out orders, not even when dining in with them were we allowed to order something to take home to my husband, whom couldn't join us!?! So, if you think you might want to take something home with you, you will need to place that order along with your order but do NOT say it's to go or the waitress will not allow it and they are very adamant on this NO TAKE OUT rule! Instead have them serve it with everything else then ask for a container for that item after you've finished your food as they WILL allow you to take home "leftovers";-) read more

The phone number goes straight to fax and they lost their liquor license? This place has issues, don't waste your time or money.
