We popped into Beni's Pizza & Diner while driving through Black Canyon City, and it was such a solid stop. The staff was super friendly and welcoming--it had that classic small-town diner vibe where everyone treats you like a regular. We ordered the Monster Pie and made a little swap--pepperoncini instead of the sausage. Total win. The pizza came out loaded with fresh toppings like mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and olives, and the pepperoncini added the perfect tangy kick. The crust was golden and crisp, and the cheese was perfectly melty. Also, drinks here are super affordable--beer, wine, and sodas all at prices that actually make you do a double take. If you're anywhere near Black Canyon City, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great people, and a great price.

The food isn't bad, but the service is so terrible I just can't bring myself to come back again. It doesn't matter how many people are in the restaurant, it doesn't matter how many employees are on shift. I have never been greeted in less than 5-10 minutes after sitting down. We sat for 27 minutes waiting for our pitcher of beer to be brought to the table. The main server treats everybody like garbage. No matter the time of day, no matter what you ask for, you seem to be bothering her. I think Beni and his family are great people, but if you aren't regulars or friends with the servers, you get bare minimum effort.

This place isn't bad for off the beaten path. Typical "Italian" decor. We picked it as halfway meeting spot for friends coming from Prescott and we were from Phoenix. It didn't seem too busy but there were a few tables off and on, but only one server. Regardless she seemed attentive and friendly. Kitchen seemed slow, but food came out hot. We had: fried pickles - more like pickle fries: decent Fried zucchini - delicious Jalepeno poppers - good Spaghetti and meatballs: meh Calzone special: good Meat calzone: good Stromboli: good Ranch and marinara were also meh

Went today after we had gone on a great hike. The pizza is a homemade crust and I do love the sauce on the pizza. The service is great and seems to be a nice little gem for the this little town I will definitely go back when I am in the area again. I do wish they had more pizza topping Options and cocktails, Still was a great spot to eat. Very clean and tables are spaced out due to Covid. The regulars don't seem to wear a mask and employees won't either if around other tables that don't. Did respectfully wear it when they approached my table which I appreciate.

Once we got there we completely understood why they shut down online ordering. There was a customer that was upset and honestly I don't understand why. Some people like to be unhappy I think. I felt so bad for the workers just trying to do their jobs and crank out pizza after pizza. Especially while some angry lady yells at them because she's impatient. I saw another review before posting this that someone was mad they weren't taking more online orders or answering the phone and then were mad the pizza was taking too long? You can't be mad at both of those things lol This place is legit. They had 3 people back there making pizza from scratch. Cutting fresh pineapple and grating fresh cheese. If you want Pizza Hut timing and quality- go to Payson. There are like 3 food choices in this town with hundreds of little cabins on a weekend night. I was not shocked there was a wait and I was happy to wait it out. The workers were so nice. The pizza was worth the wait. Happy birthday to the owner lol! Get the cookie. It's delicious.

Hello Everyone: This review is for Rim Country BBQ and Wood Fired Pizzas in Payson, AZ…read more This was our first time at this restaurant. We would definitely come back again. Because we could not decide what to order, we got the sampler plate which had meats, sides, and dipping sauces. The photos show you the "before" and "after" of our meal! Bathrooms are clean. We had no problem finding off-street parking. Analysis of experience: This plate is enough for two people. You get: two ribs, two 1/2 pieces of sausage, a scoop of pulled pork (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup), two thin slices of brisket and some sliced smoked turkey breast. Also included is a sampler container of their dipping sauces to enjoy with your meat. Sides included: baked beans, corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad and mac & cheese. Our meat favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork. This is why: I first tried a bit of each meat with no sauce. I don't want to review sauces and sauces can cover up/mask many issues just like a coat of paint on a wall. Therefore, I started with meat (no sauce) tastings, then moved to the meat and sauce tasting. Ribs: The rib meat easily cut off the bone and was tender. There was not a lot of meat, the bones were pretty big as you can see, but what meat there was had a nice flavor and was tender. Pulled Pork: The pulled pork was some of the most tender I have experienced. This meat went well with ALL the dipping sauces served to us. I did not get a lot of smoke flavor to it, the flavor was subtle, but that allowed for the sauces to shine a little bit. Brisket: The brisket was tender, but I felt the fat line on the top of the brisket was still too intact for me (not rendered enough so the fat juices get down into the meat) and I thought the brisket was a tad dry. Turkey: The turkey breast had a nice flavor, but again, it was very subtle. This meat was also a tad dry, not bad with sauce on it, but could have been a little juicier. That was perhaps my least favorite because it was on the dry side. Sausage: The sausage was 1/2 of a sausage cut in 1/2 again as you can see in the photo. This was a spicy sausage with a charred cut side, very nice. The char on the sausage added a nice crunch to each bite. My husband and I both agreed our favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork and should we return, these two meats would be on our radar. Regarding the sides, here is my review: The yellow corn was average - nothing special. The mashed potatoes were average - nothing special. Mac & Cheese - average, nothing special. The sauce on this item was too runny for us. The sauce wound up against other items on the plate. The cole slaw was nice, fresh tasting, but I think it needed a dash of fennel. The coleslaw and the potato salad (items which are served cold) were co-mingled on the plate with all the hot items. I would have preferred them being served inside a small bowl or container on the serving platter to keep them cold. The potato salad was very good - I would definitely order that again. The beans were excellent - I would definitely order those again. This menu item is also served with a piece of garlic bread which was very good - it had melted butter on it and tasted like garlic! I am giving this 5 Stars even with some short falls regarding flavor and or juiciness because of the environment, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, available to find parking without driving around, and menu choices. The menu is large, enough choices for everyone to get something. If we are back in the area, we will try one of their pizzas. Hannah was our server and she did a nice job checking on us since she knew it was our first time there. Very pleasant, nice smile, and good with her customers. Enjoy!
