First off, major props to the very courteous staff gentleman (might actually be the manager/owner?) who offered a dry towel after seeing me drenched from the torrential downpour during The Great Benicia Run downtown event lmaooo he was also congratulating everyone who was at the ordering counter and had a running bib! As for food/drink offerings, the cinnamon morning bun was satisfyingly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and although I didn't notice much of the banana flavor in the funky monkey mocha, it was still a soothing mocha. The Majestic Cafe is everything you want in a good coffee shop. They have great service, great food, and most importantly, great coffee! The owners of Majestic Cafe took over just around a year ago, and they also own Rainbow FroYo and Double Rainbow Cafe. Based on how wonderful their dessert shops are I knew I was in for a treat! The cafe is a nice, large place that has both a casual and classic feel to it. It has pictures on the walls of old downtown Benecia. You order at the counter and the staff is cheerful and helpful. They have a wonderful selection of coffee drinks, both seasonal and non-seasonal. I got to try a few of them. The major standout to me was their Jalapeño mocha. I know it sounds crazy, but whatever they do here works beautifully. Its flavor profile has both spicy and sweet chocolate to it that I've never had in a mocha before. Also, the spice level is not bad. It's just a little kick of spice! I also tried their gingerbread latte and their butterbeer latte. The butterbeer is very sweet with a strong butterscotch flavor. I loved it! Their gingerbread latte was the perfect amount spices and sweetness as well. For food, I tried the breakfast burrito with the chili verde and their avocado toast. WiFi is available and there are tables to sit at plus a bench outside. They have a cute hook for pet leashes outdoors too! As a matcha girlie, I was amazed at their offerings! They have typical coffee and teas plus special drinks and lots of syrups. Non-dairy alternatives are available too. I got an Iced Taro Matcha with Soy Milk and she had an Iced Lavender Latte. My drink was smooth, sweet, and creamy. Taro flavor was present but the matcha was on the more subtle side. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other drinks! This is a really cute and intimate coffee shop with lots of street parking. I didn't have anything to eat per se but they have a decent amount of pastry options. I opted for the ube matcha iced latte with oatmilk and my friend did a ube latte. Both really good options and well balanced. Service is good but I'm used to east coast pace so to me my drinks took a bit longer than I anticipated. There's a good amount of diverse people in the cafe either chatting or doing some work/assignments. Would definitely revisit if I'm in the area again. read more

We came here on a whim Thursday morning. The interior decor is still very similar to when it was States but now has some turquoise highlights. Similar cozy farmhouse vibes with houseplants. Some seating but most of it was taken with the exception of outdoor bistro seating. A restroom is available in the back past the pick up area. Not much of a line when we went and it moved fast. They have a medium sized selection of baked goods. They have much more of a selection for drinks than the previous business. We ordered the iced matcha latte, iced taro matcha latte, veggie scone, and chocolate zucchini loaf. The cashier was kind. She confirmed that we'd be okay with putting both pastries in the same box. The drinks came out quickly. There is a self service table with straws, napkins, drink holders, a watering station etc. I honestly loved all the food items! Everything wasn't too sweet. The drinks weren't watered down with 90% ice. I think in total we paid around $25. The matcha was a good strength. The scone was buttery and warm and delicious. The chocolate zucchini loaf was rich without being too sweet almost like a dark chocolate. This may be my new favorite cafe in Benicia! read more

Sadly, I did not enjoy the drinks I got here and I was surprised since this coffee shop has a lot of high reviews. I ordered a butterbeer latte for my bf and a salted caramel oat cold brew for myself. Unfortunately, the butterbeer did not taste anywhere close to butterbeer. It didn't taste like much other than milk and their subpar coffee. The same could be said for my cold brew. I did not taste the salted caramel, and it mostly tasted like watered down cold brew coffee. The only thing I enjoyed was the vegan blueberry donut. One star for the donut and one star for the friendly staff who made the drinks fast. read more

This is one of my two favorite cafes in Benicia. They feature coffee from Moschetti in Vallejo, one of my favorite coffee roasters in the area. They have a very limited selection of pastries and donuts in the morning but a nice selection of "toasts" plus some other options that look good. I'm a barbarian so I simply order a slice of dry toast to dip in my coffee. It is a very comfortable place to sit and do work or read or even chat with someone at the table next to you. So, basically, good but limited food, excellent coffee, very pleasant setting (bright, roomy, not too loud, nice people). It's on First Street, so it also offers a nice area in which to walk around, and parking is generally pretty easy (although I just walk here). There is a good ice cream store right across the street, and there's currently a notice in the window that they've applied for a liquor license, so I imagine there are a few menu changes coming in the future. What I truly enjoy about this cafe is the staff. Once you have been coming in on a regular basis, they remember your coffee order. They remember your name. They know how you like your toast, and they anticipate (so don't change your order!). There are too many places where the employees barely make eye contact with you. This is not one of them. I tend to order my toast in a particular way (well, I use various punch lines). The employee taking my order remembered my order from a few days earlier. The picture I've attached shows how she entered it in the register, without any prompting from me. Another barista found out that I like to dip my toast in my coffee, so she started cutting it lengthwise for me to facilitate dipping. Without any prompting from me. There are many cafes; the quality of the people working there (and the quality of the coffee, of course) are what makes one better than another. Wanted to try a new cafe and came across Majestic Cafe. The inside is so cute, clean, and there are plenty of seating available if you want to do some work inside. The service was super friendly and quick. They have a menu for their specialties and seasonal items and my eye immediately caught on to the Taro Matcha since I love both but never tried it together. It was actually pretty good! You can taste a subtle taro flavor with the matcha and it wasn't too sweet. I would recommend if you like both flavors. The service was friendly, professional and fast. You've managed to preserve the open clean farmhouse vibe and added some additional comfortable seating. The interior feels inviting and there is a good amount of tables and seats. The service is also friendly, however, I agree with the other 2 star reviews that the coffee falls flat. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and for some reason the coffee tastes watered down or half the strength of what I'm normally used to from my other favorite cafés or even what I make at home with my Breville. Came here on Saturday morning to try out this new spot. I had the honey latte and an everything toast. This was easily one of the best honey lattes that I've had in a long time. The coffee was smooth and I could taste the honey without it being too sweet. My everything toast is exactly as I remember it being when this was under States Bread & Coffee. Service was also great! They feature Moschetti's coffee, my favorite, from Vallejo. Majestic Cafe is where States Coffee/Farm & Flour used to be. It kept the same interior and some of the same food items (the toast) and some new drinks! I tried their blueberry muffin latte with 2% milk and I was so happy that they followed my request for a not-too-sweet latte. It's perfect! I also got their everything toast, which has cream cheese and their everything seasoning. It has a bit of a kick to it, so if you don't like spicy, opt for no seasoning. I also added cucumbers because I recall the old recipe having cucumber. I do like the price point, the toast and coffee aren't too pricey in my opinion. It's pretty standard for a cafe. First off you get greeted at the door which makes you feel very welcomed, also the layout is warm and welcoming seating everywhere and dog friendly outside of cafe. The owner Brandon and staff really take pride in what they created and it shows. Majestic cafe is a nice place to get some work done. I've tried both the lavender latte and vanilla latte and enjoyed them. I recently tried the taro matcha and it fell flat in my opinion. It wasn't bad, but I couldn't really taste the matcha. It tasted more like a taro milk tea to me. Next time, I'll stick to coffee. read more
