The food was good, and despite our server being new, they did their best. Unfortunately, there was an issue with my order, and when I brought it to the manager, Elisabeth, her response was rude and unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concern or trying to resolve the situation, I felt dismissed and unwelcome. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the food, and this experience overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. I left very disappointed and, because of the way the situation was handled, I will not be returning to Benihana. Came for Mothers day lunch and got the 5 course meal with fried rice. Got seated fairly quickly and just had to wait a hit for the cook to come over. Baby girl got to see the cook do all his tricks and she def enjoyed the show. One the staff members saw baby girl asking for the food while we were waiting and offered to make her a bowl of white rice mixed with the onion soup and a few ice cubes to cool it down. It was a winner and she enjoyed it more then we thought she would. I ordered the salmon with avocado tartar sauce and fried rice. The udon garlic butter noodles were very good and the salmon paired nicely with the fired rice. Also got unlimited lemoade and got to switch up the flavors between mango, rasberry and strawberry. Naweed was an exceptional chef, everything was cooked to absolute perfection, and he took such great care of our table. Jenelle was equally amazing she was super attentive, thoughtful, and always making sure our glasses were full. When he came back with the drinks, I asked about the steak sizing for the lunch special, and he said we're "not allowed" to order from the menu because of the table we were seated at. I found out Benihana had Happy Hour so I had to try it. It's available Monday - Friday, 3-6PM in the bar & lounge. The service was mediocre because our waitress was training another employee and I felt she was overwhelmed. The mojitos were good! We went to Benihana yesterday for an early dinner. Didn't need to wait our table was ready when we arrived. Our waiter was ready to suggest Wagyu steaks. We ordered our drinks and they arrived quickly. Our chef was Omar. He was 5 star. Steaks served as asked, rice was delicious, and veggies were cooked just right. This absolutely made up for our bad experience the previous time. I'd want Omar cooking for me everytime! We came to Benihana to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a 2pm reservation and, even though we were running a little behind, the staff was able to seat us quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, the experience was good, but there were a few things that could have been better. First, this location charges an additional $8 for fried rice on the weekends if you're seated at the hibachi grill. Regular tables don't have this charge, which felt unnecessary. Honestly, I'd prefer they just include the cost in the meal rather than tacking on an extra fee. Second, I was surprised that this location didn't offer yum yum sauce. At most hibachi grill restaurants, you get a ginger-based sauce and a creamy yum yum sauce. I specifically asked for yum yum and was given a thick, flavorless sauce instead. I would have preferred they simply let us know it wasn't available. Other than those two issues, the meal and service were good. However, because of the extra charges and lack of sauce, I'd probably choose a different location next time. read more

This may have been my first time at Benihana but I had always seen people's photos or videos or what not and thought to myself, wait have I really never been?! Fast forward to a recent get together with my extended family, we brought both my kid and my nephew and this was my kid's first time at Benihana and he was so impressed and so mind blown! Omar the chef did such a great job with all his little tricks that left my sweet 6 year old hooting and hollering at how amazed he was. There was so much food and yet I couldn't stop eating. The fried rice was so good that my dad who originally ordered just steamed white rice ended up asking for the fried rice too (especially after watching it be made in front of his eyes...and nose haha) My child ordered the chicken tenders which was truly more like chicken katsu which he enjoyed, although I do wish it had maybe come out a bit earlier like when we were getting some of our hibachi chicken and stuff since he just was watching everything cook and getting hungry (and sadly he didn't want fried rice or the veggies). The hosts didn't really care that the lines were backed up and there was just a bunch of people waiting around. I haven't been to Benihana in many years. Now I know why. Our Teppanyaki chef Ernesto was a bit lackluster even our waiter said he doesn't do all the fancy tricks and stuff. Unfortunately, Benihana is all over the place. The experience is wildly inconsistent -- sometimes the service is decent, other times it's downright awful. The bartender in particular has had a major attitude on more than one visit, which is frustrating when you're paying premium prices. Cynthia was very rude. Straight up ignored me. For how expensive this place is, the quality and service should be reliable, but it's completely unpredictable. You never know if you're going to get a good experience or regret coming in. Was greet by the host Antione, who let me know they were not sitting people for the Power Lunch. Very disappointed I asked to speak to management who solved the problem expeditiously. I enjoy Benihana. It's a good place to take your family. You can enjoy sitting at the hibachi, where the chef will cook the food in front of you (fun), or sit in the bar/lounge at a booth or regular table and skip all of that. The ambiance is fairly nice for a chain restaurant. I often order off of the sushi menu, but my family likes the hibachi chicken and habachi steak. The fried rice is yummy. Everyone seems to find the onion soup to be delicious. The lunch menu is priced fairly. I find the dinner prices to be a bit high. This is a late post but I went in February to celebrate my birthday, I had made a reservation and got sat down over an hour late. The ambiance was okay but the floors were a mess, I get it was busy but come on is a freaking restaurant. They moved us from our table across the room to facilitate accommodation to a large group of people and we were okay with the other guests around our table. Weren't offered anything apologies except thanks for moving tables. The food was okay, my daughter's chicken strips were overcooked and the price, well everyone knows is expensive. Unfortunately, it was even worse. We came on a Tuesday when it wasn't busy, but it still took about 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. After ordering, we waited at least 30 minutes for our food, and when it finally arrived, it had absolutely no flavor. My family and I were very excited to go into the restaurant and have a nice experience however, the grill master seem to be rather disinterested in cooking for us and we didn't get a whole lot of the extra frills that you normally would at a Benihana experience. The food was OK....a bit bland but the sauces help. We got exactly what we ordered however, I did feel like since my grandmother preferenced that she didn't want certain vegetables that should've been adhered to. The chef still gave them to her so she had to pick out her food which made her experience a little more frustrating. There was also a billing issue with the other party which made departure difficult since we had to work that out. I didn't finish my meal with filet mignon and lobster tail but our waitress already brought my ice cream with candle on it. 2 of the meals had filet mignon but they were overcooked to medium well even though we ordered them medium rare. That was a little disappointing. The lobster tail was also smaller than what I could recall from past visits. Restaurant has a festive yet casual vibe but the quality is not worth paying full prices for at dinner. The full prices are high and you could find better food elsewhere, maybe without the teppanyaki show which is a bit gimmicky anyway. Lunch menu prices are more reasonable for the quality. read more

I recently stopped by for a hibachi lunch, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to the incredible team of Roger and Kaleo. First off Roger is phenomenal! Roger took care of us at the table and he is genuinely the best. You know those managers who just get it!? He kept our drinks full and made sure the timing of the courses was spot on, all while being super friendly and fun to chat with. He made us feel like family. Kaleo- sometimes lunch service at popular restaurants can feel a bit rushed, but Kaleo was the total opposite. He was incredibly welcoming, super quick with the refills, and had this great energy that instantly put us in a good mood. He made sure he paid attention to each person, great Chef, great personality. Within minutes he put grilled veggies and shrimps on our plates. Finally some food! He was nonstop cooking! We finally got our main entrees at 1010pm! This is not dinner, it is midnight snack! (Note, NOT chef's fault, he was cooking nonstop as fast as he can). So the bill came, they have the nerve to charge TWO edamames! Unbelievable. At 1045p, we are finally leaving, decided to stop in the bathroom, oh my gosh it is dirty and filty, wet counter, out of soap, tissues and napkins on the floor inside, in the stalls, and outside the bathroom entrance. It is such a terrible experience. There was a lobby full of people who have to wait 1.5 hours for their RESERVATIONS! How can a restaurant like this isn't capable of effectively managing their reservation system??? The prices is a direct contrast of the quality of food or service. Mediocre food at best, bare minimum wait service, rude and unprofessional hostess.
