Came for Mothers day lunch and got the 5 course meal with fried rice. Got seated fairly quickly and just had to wait a hit for the cook to come over. Baby girl got to see the cook do all his tricks and she def enjoyed the show. One the staff members saw baby girl asking for the food while we were waiting and offered to make her a bowl of white rice mixed with the onion soup and a few ice cubes to cool it down. It was a winner and she enjoyed it more then we thought she would. I ordered the salmon with avocado tartar sauce and fried rice. The udon garlic butter noodles were very good and the salmon paired nicely with the fired rice. Also got unlimited lemoade and got to switch up the flavors between mango, rasberry and strawberry. I didn't finish my meal with filet mignon and lobster tail but our waitress already brought my ice cream with candle on it. 2 of the meals had filet mignon but they were overcooked to medium well even though we ordered them medium rare. That was a little disappointing. The lobster tail was also smaller than what I could recall from past visits. Restaurant has a festive yet casual vibe but the quality is not worth paying full prices for at dinner. This may have been my first time at Benihana but I had always seen people's photos or videos or what not and thought to myself, wait have I really never been?! Fast forward to a recent get together with my extended family, we brought both my kid and my nephew and this was my kid's first time at Benihana and he was so impressed and so mind blown! Omar the chef did such a great job with all his little tricks that left my sweet 6 year old hooting and hollering at how amazed he was. There was so much food and yet I couldn't stop eating. The fried rice was so good that my dad who originally ordered just steamed white rice ended up asking for the fried rice too (especially after watching it be made in front of his eyes...and nose haha) My child ordered the chicken tenders which was truly more like chicken katsu which he enjoyed, although I do wish it had maybe come out a bit earlier like when we were getting some of our hibachi chicken and stuff since he just was watching everything cook and getting hungry (and sadly he didn't want fried rice or the veggies). We came to Benihana to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a 2pm reservation and, even though we were running a little behind, the staff was able to seat us quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, the experience was good, but there were a few things that could have been better. First, this location charges an additional $8 for fried rice on the weekends if you're seated at the hibachi grill. Regular tables don't have this charge, which felt unnecessary. Honestly, I'd prefer they just include the cost in the meal rather than tacking on an extra fee. Second, I was surprised that this location didn't offer yum yum sauce. At most hibachi grill restaurants, you get a ginger-based sauce and a creamy yum yum sauce. I specifically asked for yum yum and was given a thick, flavorless sauce instead. I would have preferred they simply let us know it wasn't available. Other than those two issues, the meal and service were good. However, because of the extra charges and lack of sauce, I'd probably choose a different location next time. read more

Unfortunately, Benihana is all over the place. The experience is wildly inconsistent -- sometimes the service is decent, other times it's downright awful. The bartender in particular has had a major attitude on more than one visit, which is frustrating when you're paying premium prices. Cynthia was very rude. Straight up ignored me. For how expensive this place is, the quality and service should be reliable, but it's completely unpredictable. You never know if you're going to get a good experience or regret coming in. Made a reservation for 7pm and didn't get seated until almost 7:40! Not sure why they even have a reservation system if they don't follow. The hosts didn't really care that the lines were backed up and there was just a bunch of people waiting around. I haven't been to Benihana in many years. Now I know why. Our Teppanyaki chef Ernesto was a bit lackluster even our waiter said he doesn't do all the fancy tricks and stuff. The waiter overcharged us for some edamame beans and then acted like he was doing us a favor by giving us "more" instead of just fixing the problem. Food was mediocre. Do not get the chicken. Was greet by the host Antione, who let me know they were not sitting people for the Power Lunch. Very disappointed I asked to speak to management who solved the problem expeditiously. You can enjoy sitting at the hibachi, where the chef will cook the food in front of you (fun), or sit in the bar/lounge at a booth or regular table and skip all of that. I really wish I could rate this higher. My family and I were very excited to go into the restaurant and have a nice experience however, the grill master seem to be rather disinterested in cooking for us and we didn't get a whole lot of the extra frills that you normally would at a Benihana experience. The food was OK....a bit bland but the sauces help. We got exactly what we ordered however, I did feel like since my grandmother preferenced that she didn't want certain vegetables that should've been adhered to. The chef still gave them to her so she had to pick out her food which made her experience a little more frustrating. There was also a billing issue with the other party which made departure difficult since we had to work that out. Unfortunately, Benihana isn't what it used to be. We had reservations for five and were seated at an already crowded table. Despite arriving before the dinner rush and seeing many empty tables, we were denied a request to move to a more comfortable seating arrangement. Service was disappointing from the start. Two waiters introduced themselves, but throughout the evening we constantly had to flag someone down for assistance. My drink sat empty for most of the meal, and I didn't receive water until near the end of dinner. We ordered an appetizer that was mistakenly delivered to the table next to us. I know it was ours because that party had just been seated and had only ordered drinks. Despite ordering it early, we didn't receive our appetizer until halfway through our meal after we brought it to the waiter's attention. Our chef was very kind and I don't fault him personally. However, the Benihana experience simply isn't what it used to be. The interactive show that made dining here special felt almost nonexistent. Aside from the standard rice trick and onion volcano, there was very little engagement or entertainment. the cooking process seemed disorganized with frequent requests for missing ingredients and supplies. What was most confusing was the amount of staff standing around while tables struggled to get service. Tables sat empty, and there were plenty of employees visible, yet very few actively attending to guests. The restaurant didn't appear understaffed, it appeared poorly managed. Before visiting, I read some Yelp reviews and assumed the negative experiences might be isolated incidents. Unfortunately, after spending $400 on dinner, I can say those reviews seem accurate. For that price point, guests should expect attentive service, a seamless dining experience, and the entertaining teppanyaki show Benihana is known for! The irony was receiving a QR code at the end of the meal asking for a review. I don't enjoy leaving negative feedback, but management needs to invest in better training, stronger customer service, and restoring the experience that once made Benihana worth the cost. My husband and I made a last minute reservation to come here at 6:30 PM on a Sunday night. There were plenty of reservations available. When we arrived at our reservation time, the restaurant was very busy and they asked us to wait a few minutes before they sat us. They sat us around 6:45 PM. Unfortunately, the service was very slow from here on out. The chef didn't come out to start cooking until 7:30 PM. There were also a few instances throughout the meal, where my husband and I had empty water glasses for 10+ minutes at a time. The server and chef were very nice and the food was as good as expected. The usher told us there are only 2 parties and 7 of us totally, so we can be a bit comfortable with an empty chair between us. 830p the very rude skinny hostess came to the table and told me to move one seat over, cos she decided to jam another party of 2 at the table! 845p, waitress came to take order. **Meanwhile I saw a manager in the dining room checking on guests, I got his attention. I told him my frustration with their reservation system, it is unheard of that a RESERVATION runs 1.5 hours late, takes another 20 MINUTES for a server to show up at the table! Also let him aware that it for my bday celebration, and this experience totally ruined it! He was compassionate, a good listener, offer his empathy as well as two appetizers. In addition, he extended his offer to accept the birthday voucher. So that softened the blow a bit. 857p, soup finally showed up, and lemonade, but still no mojito! 906p, mojito finally arrived, and edamame. It is yellowish looking, super mushy like can beans! Waitress explained it was steamed and it is supposed to be that way - hmmm NO! I had to insist i like some that hasn't been cooked to death! 918p, edmame replacement arrived. Wow, at this point I'm surprised I didn't need to wait an hour! **Chef Naweed arrived. (2 hours since the reservation time!). He made sure he paid attention to each person, great Chef, great personality. Within minutes he put grilled veggies and shrimps on our plates. Finally some food! He was nonstop cooking! We finally got our main entrees at 1010pm! This is not dinner, it is midnight snack! (Note, NOT chef's fault, he was cooking nonstop as fast as he can). So the bill came, they have the nerve to charge TWO edamames! Unbelievable. At 1045p, we are finally leaving, decided to stop in the bathroom, oh my gosh it is dirty and filty, wet counter, out of soap, tissues and napkins on the floor inside, in the stalls, and outside the bathroom entrance. It is such a terrible experience. There was a lobby full of people who have to wait 1.5 hours for their RESERVATIONS! How can a restaurant like this isn't capable of effectively managing their reservation system??? The prices is a direct contrast of the quality of food or service. Mediocre food at best, bare minimum wait service, rude and unprofessional hostess. My boyfriend and I went to this location to celebrate our 3 year anniversary (3/21/26), I was confused on which was the menu (which is my fault should of looked more thoroughly) when my waiter came by to ask if we were ready to order I asked for menus, he then said "that is the menu" I told him that's my bad and thank you. Once we figured out what we wanted my boyfriend went to the bathroom and he overheard our waiter talking mess about us to the hostess (talking about how I was confused about the menu). My sister's and I came for lunch today and it was not the experience I was expecting. #1 they appear to be understaffed because it took a LONG time for us to get a chef over to get started on our meals. My sister made note that the chefs at the tables all around us (2) were all very melancholy and seemed to be disinterested in being or seeming happy. Beni Hana is on its way out. Huge overturn of staff, chefs are not skilled in Japanese cooking. High prices and untrained servers. Our dinner started with being seated on old torn chairs, chef had performed kiddie tricks for 2 minutes, onions were burnt, each person got one slice of a zucchini chopped in 5 little pieces, standard of food presentation was old and not appetizing and prices of everything beyond high. I do not like bringing home a hundred meal leftover in a brown cheap box. At the end of this disaster, the chef gives us cards to send in a review and the waitress shoves a kiosk on your table to pay for this horrible dining experience, it is barely surviving and after 50 years, there is no way we would ever go back.
