This guy responds to my review by trying to tell people that i have the wrong truck, lol. Is this not your nasty truck?
    Will U.

I wrote a review because the food was awful, the service was insulting, and the price was outrageous. This clown had the audacity to use the fact that he was serving a special event menu, and not his normal food, to try and make a fool of me and claim that I accidentally reviewed the wrong truck. Here is the picture I took of his truck because I was so disgusted by his business that I wanted to remember the name to make a review. Is this not your truck, you hack? Did someone make a perfect replica of your truck and use to to sell garbage and disrespect customers? You could have said this was a special event menu and apologize that you were completely unprepared. But instead you have chosen to lie, and pretend you don't remember the garbage food you served to hundreds of disappointed people. Now we know your not just incompetent and a bad cook, but your a lying little coward. I see your truck is in LA now. Good play to serve bad food and then move to a new location so people don't recognize you. Good riddance! Edit - Literally as I wrote the updated review he changed his name to "ricenmore" lol! Rebrand time! Oh, and it looks like he's now the japanese hibachi grill food truck that serves mexican cuisine, but would never served dollar tree wings and ranch.

    Grilled chicken plate
    John C.

I got the grilled chicken plate, it's a little pricey but worth it! I mean where can you get fried rice and sushi at 12am?! It was very good and lots of flavor! Don't mind that one star review it's probably a hater that owns a food truck!

Blocked me for commenting my review on Instagram

LOL! This place lying on IG talking about Keith Lee approved, NEVER. Since they wanna block me on Instagram for commenting my experience I'll bring it over here. Y'all are embarrassing going through all that over an honest review keep me blocked bc I'll bring it here. I went to this truck and I was really excited to try honestly. When my boyfriend and I were ordering the woman was just flat out rude and we noticed her nasty attitude wasn't just with us. She rushed everyone we saw ordering not just my bf and I, she just seemed like she didn't want be working at all. We order the steak meals and when we got our food it was a complete disappointment to say the least. The cut of meat was not tender at all, it was extremely tough and hard to chew. I mentioned in my comment that isn't my favorite when ordering steak. Don't waste your money here these people do not care about their customers.

First time customers, spent $101 for 3 and half dishes, the payment platform didn't ask for a tip or they pressed a bunch of buttons. I just touched my card with the reader until it beeped. They couldn't provide a receipt so no idea what I paid for. Service was okay, was a little aggressive for me so I didn't want to interact much. We were probably the most pacifist and quiet customers there. At 10pm in walnut creek. Found them through yelp on our way home from meeting w friends. Everyone's commenting on sauce...? I didnt get any in my two bags. I got salmon w rice, filet or crab with rice and vegetables, sushi roll and just plain noodles. I thought it was overpriced. Portions - standard little plastic container. Didnt eat the bottom layer of all 3 dishes. Just soaked in oil. Like unbelievable amount of just tasteless oil. Not much garlic taste. The steak was hard and it didnt have well cuts, chewed and pretty much napkined a couple pieces. Honestly, I'll be back. The sushi was phenomenal. Nothing like it.

Steak, shrimp, chicken combo with fried rice

Ok, so I just left City Bachi about 20 min ago, as I found them on Yelp tonight, and I must say it didn't disappoint. I really dislike soggy, overcooked veggies, and these were cooked perfectly. It had the right amount of crunch without being undercooked. I bought the steak, chicken, and shrimp combo with fried rice . The steak was very tender, as was the other protein. The only thing is, I am not sure if the side sauce was a dipping sauce or the extra garlic butter. This isn't meant to be any kind of shade. It could be my taste buds...lol. The customer service was great, and the food was prepared quickly, which is always icing on the cake. Definitely will be back.

    Combo plate was really goooooddddd!!!!!!!

Food was good . Please go check it out!!! Service was quick and the water was really good !! Chris the owner was really nice

Ordered the simba roll and I would definitely recommend it has a spicy and sweet taste to it very good 10/10 and the customer service was also 10/10 Another plate I tried was the steak and chicken over noodles plate with the spicy sauce I would definitely recommend it hits the spot and the meat and chicken was so tender and the sauce was really good if your are in the area would definitely recommend :) !! Don't believe the false reviews.

    Steak, lobster & shrimp trio
    Carolina G.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem this past weekend & will definitely be back! Food was bomb, the young man taking orders was very nice & personable. I ordered a "trio" which included steak, lobster, & shrimp. I also upgraded to fried rice and got a few of their sauces, did not disappoint! They are open late so a great stop for a late night craving or after a night out. I will definitely be stopping by to try more of their items!

    Steak and fried rice.
    Sean K.

Service was great, Chris was super nice and even gave me and my girlfriend extra sauces since it was our first time. The food was really good too. If you're craving hibachi but don't want to sit in a restaurant this is the perfect spot. Or if you just want good food to go this City Bachi is a great choice. Will try some more stuff in future visits!

Shrimp/chicken w/fried rice, sushi roll (can't remember which one) and shrimp fried rice- yummy to our tummies!

Mannnnn!!!! Me and babe went on an adventure dinner (once a week, we try a new local place- small business, not part of a chain) last night and when I tell you I'm so glad we took a chance on City Bachi- we are soooo glad we took the chance. The customer service was phenomenal! And the food was better than phenomenal! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. The only thing I would do, that I didn't know to do this time, is request that my food be cooked with extra garlic butter. You can tell that they are using fresh veggies and good selections of meat! Their shrimp is completely deveined and butterflied! Everything was made to order and not sitting under lamps waiting for an order! This is like ten minutes from my house and it will surely be a place that I visit multiple times a month. I didn't find them to be pricey for what they offer. We ordered a combo shrimp/chicken with fried rice, shrimp fried rice and sushi rolls- 50$ and had food left over for lunch today- win, win!!! If you're on the fence about trying them- get off the fence, and don't meet me there- beat me there!!!! I wish I could give them ten stars for service and food- worth every penny!

Bomb asf! Super recommend and definitely will keep supporting Mexican Owned! I'm glad we finally have something round the area
    Leslie C.

Super good! Bomb asf! I definitely recommend and will keep coming back! 10/10 forsure!

    Chris H.

Food was excellent! I had to try the Trio plate! The steak was cooked PERFECTLY, & the Agua Frescas are not too sweet, they are also perfect and taste fresh! This is the best Hibachi I've tried, and I also ordered the sushi & it's better than most sushi places.

Tucked away in Walnut Creek, this is the perfect intimate, casual sushi spot for a relaxed date night or dinner with friends. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and fresh ingredients made for an outstanding dining experience. We started with the shrimp and vegetable tempura, which arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly light without feeling greasy. It was the ideal appetizer to share. For our rolls, we ordered the Volcano Roll, featuring spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, and the Arizona Roll, made with crab and topped with seared albacore. Both were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The freshness of the fish was the star of the meal. The seared albacore on the Arizona Roll practically melted in your mouth, and every bite had a clean, fresh taste that showcased the quality of the ingredients. The Volcano Roll delivered a delicious combination of textures and flavors, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. Nothing was overpowering--you could truly taste the freshness of the fish and the care that went into each roll. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, allowing us to enjoy the meal at a comfortable pace. Fresh fish, crispy tempura, creative rolls, and exceptional hospitality make this a standout sushi destination in Walnut Creek. The only downside? Once you finish your last piece, you'll wish you had ordered more. We enjoyed our experience so much that we're already looking forward to coming back to try the omakase, which will definitely be on our next order.

Delicious, and the best thing on our table. First visit for us at Toyosu, over on Locust in Walnut Creek right next to Matsu. The sushi menu runs deep, from straightforward nigiri up to omakase and A5 wagyu, and the quality was very good across everything we ordered. Long sake list too, plus beer and wine by the glass or bottle. Plan around the size of the room. Small place. If you want to sit down without waiting, be there when they open, otherwise expect around 30 minutes. Parking is paid street parking with a big garage nearby, so you won't circle for long. Service was the standout. Nothing was open inside when we arrived, so we took the covered patio out front, and they asked whether we'd want to move indoors if a table opened. We said yes and ordered. A spot freed up after our first round and they came straight over and moved us. Doing that on a full night, unprompted, is not nothing. Noise was better than I expected. The room fills up, but we talked normally the whole meal. Ask for the soy paper wrap. Not printed anywhere on the menu, but clearly an option, and a good change if you're tired of nori. Bring someone who's actually into sushi and order wide. We'd go back.

They don't really serve the classic sushi rolls we were expecting. We mainly went because my daughter really wanted sushi, but unfortunately she didn't like the options they had and barely ate anything. I also found the portions on the small side. The prices themselves weren't unreasonable, but they felt a bit high for the amount of food you get. That said, I personally enjoyed what I ordered. It just wasn't the kind of sushi experience I was expecting. I guess this visit taught us that next time we'll check the menu first instead of choosing a sushi place based only on the ratings.

For my food, I ordered my favorite salmon melt! This is a must order when you come. Always a hit! (I dipped my edamame in the sauce and it added great flavor to it lol) They had a Mother's Day special for handrolls and I was tempted to try it but didn't want to be super full, so I got two nigiri's instead; one hamachi and one spicy scallop. Both were so good! I would definitely order it again. Hamachi was fresh and soft. Easy to chew. Spicy scallop was made with a spicy mayo and cut up into pieces. Both were really good portion sizes. I think the guy should slow down and make sure he pays attention to the order since it's listed out/doesn't seem too hard. It's better to wait a minute longer and get the order right. They should get that handled because I imagine some people will want it remade to remove toppings they don't want and that's a total waste of their food. The only other thing that freaked me out a little is their seaweed salad turned the rice bright green right away which makes it seem like weird quality/food dye.
