Christmas eve dinner at Benihana,s Reservations for 11 were for 6:15 pm. We were not seated until 7:00 pm. They do not have much room for people to wait for their table so It was standing room only. (felt like I was trying to get tickets to a Taylor Swift concert) They were way over booked and could not handle it. The waitress came after 15 minutes and took our drink orders. 30 minutes later she came and took our food orders. 40 minutes later our non asian cook showed up. The food looked good on the grill but my Medium rare steak was done medium well. Not a good experience for me. We weren't out of there until near 9:00 pm. Never again.. read more

Went last week on a week night party of 5. Made a resevervatiion for 7:30 pm. Got seated at 8pm. After an hour my daughter asked if we could get a chef. The chef was good. Our sever was just ok. Food was good. So having to wait an hour and a half to get a chef I feel the manager should of told us this when we walked in. He did know this as he told us they were short on chefs. We called the next morning and the manager said we should of told them that night. He said he would tell the night manger (Yao) and he would call us back. No call. Don't make a reservation. They will still make you wait over 20 minutes for a party of two. I understand the time of the year and everyone is going out on Sunday's. But why even offer online reservations when we are not able to be seated at the time it was reserved for. Especially for a party of 2. Tonight was the second time we ordered to go from this location. The first time was a negative experience, having to wait over an hour for our food after driving almost an hour to pick it up. This was at the beginning of the pandemic, so we chalked it up to adjustment pains. We ordered again tonight and my hay and drove the hour to go pick up the order. Birthday teppanyaki traditions have turned into to go hibachi orders this past year. And after waiting two hours for my husband to return, I opened our celebration dinner to see they had left out all of the sauces and salads. Now I adore some mustard and ginger sauces, and was so sad to go without after the time and money spent on this meal. Very disappointed. Went to Benihana with the family and had a great time. Made a reservation ahead of time and got seated within 5 mins of being there. Our waitress was attentive and asked if we needed refills through out our dinner. The chef was engaging and considerate of the small children at the table. Overall the food was cooked quickly and we finished our meal after 1.5 hours of being there. Prices have gone up since last year but you are paying for the experience. I forgot to print my birthday certificate ahead of time but the staff still accepted my voucher. Well we stopped going to the Bloomfield location because the portions and quality went downhill and started going to the Denver one. Has been good for years now but lately the portions are getting smaller, the quality is declining and the ceilings are disgusting. There's something coating and hanging off the ceiling that could and probably has fallen into the food. The prices are high enough you should be getting the best quality foods and large portions. This location does not honor reservations. Despite calling ahead of time to reserve a spot, you are not guaranteed to get in right away and are still expected to wait past your reservation time if there is no availability. Expect an extra 30 minutes on this. The service was terrible: it felt as if they were just giving lip service but without any initiative to doing anything. After waiting extra time to get a table, they try to appease you saying that a 'chef is on the way' while in reality, they are actually waiting for a chef whose ready to serve the table. Because of that, you wait additional time where you are literally doing nothing because of lack of chef availability. Expect an extra hour on this. When the chef arrived, we were very disappointed with the preparation of the food. The fried rice was burnt and hard. One of our guests requested well done steak, and it was clearly still pink. The chicken was salty. Overall, the taste of the food was not pleasant. Part of going to Benihana is for the experience, but we were not happy with the chef's interaction with us. The chef was openly gossiping about one of our guests in Spanish without realizing that some of us also understood the language. I personally thought it was inappropriate and disrespectful to switch languages and make fun of one of our guests right in front of her face. This was literally our **first** time choosing to come here. Needless to say, it was a really awful first impression, and I do not personally recommend going to this location. Came here tonight for my parents 25th anniversary, mind you we made a reservation for 7:30pm. 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes have passed and we still haven't been seated. Each time I asked the receptionist when we would be seated she gave me time intervals of 5-- which was incorrect because there were 3 other parties ahead of us. I understand if you're busy and backed up, but at least be honest and say "there's 3 parties ahead of you, we're sorry for the inconvenience but the wait time will be 30-45 minutes." Went to Benihana yesterday for a friend's Birthday lunch. I had my usual Hibachi Chicken & it was really good. The sauces there are so good I could drink them and I love the soup & salad. The chef was very entertaining & had a few new more tricks up his sleeve that I have never seen before. The only disappointment I had is that normally the staff there knowing that there is a special event like a Birthday, would bring ice cream & have the staff sing Happy Birthday, etc. but nothing! My friends & I sang Happy Birthday to her & thankfully someone brought her a cupcake, otherwise there would not have been a Birthday experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but it would be great if they could bring back the simple things like acknowledging a special occasion by the staff. read more

It is a much better deal than coming for dinner time, as the cost of dinner is double for close to the same amount of food. Even at lunch you get a massive amount of food. I always get the teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The fried rice is by far the best part of the meal. The service can be hit or miss, but it hasn't ever made or broken my meal here. We've been going to this location for years and it's always been a fun tradition to meet as a a family and enjoy the delicious food and good show! The staff is friendly and makes us feel welcomed. Jania and Aryana were super great! Although it was very busy, we had made a reservation so thgot right in. The fried rice is always great and I love the hibachi steak. Use to be our go to place for our weekly work lunch meetings, but now with the new management we are not a fan as much...sadly I enjoyed coming here for the scallops and calamari but they removed them from the options at lunch. Also my colleague enjoyed being able to do half orders of the rolls with the lunch duets but the kitchen can no longer accommodate. Since we could not do scallops, calamari and steak today we order the steak and shrimp duets... It was good but not why we choose to dine here:( not happy about the new management and changes. My number one favorite hibachi grill/Japanese restaurant to go to. It's a pick me up after a stressful work week, it's the place to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. It's a good place for your first date. The chef performances are never dull despite the same routine. I am actually impressed by some new moves that they do at this branch. I just love their mustard sauce, no other hibachi can do it like they do. My favorite meal is the hibachi shrimp. The portion is a moderate amount. I recommend fried rice, makes your dinner/lunch so much better. Make sure you sign up for the chefs table, you'll get a certificate for your birthday each year for a free meal here. Food was tasty but very little portions for the price. I think the money you pay is more for the chef show of tricks on the grill. I ordered what was supposed to be a combination platter of steak and chicken for $37. What I got was just steak and probably like 2-3 ounces of it but got charged $44!! Told the cashier and she reduced price to fillet Mignon only which was $35. But it wasn't even that. All it was was just a few pieces of flank steak which came out to $33. And I thought that was a lot to pay for considering the amount of food I had. Would not come here again to eat. The chef puts on a great show but it stops about there. And if you want to see some cool chef tricks then by all means come. If you want to get a satiating meal then you're gonna be out of luck at this place unless you spend $$$. read more

Update 1/2019: Unfortunately though my first visit was good, tonight was extremely disappointing. Our waitress Samantha was lovely and brought out soup without breaded onions, salad with no dressing, and was super friendly and understanding. However chef Manny was a complete idiot with gluten allergy handling. I asked if he could cook my food first and he said he'd do it last... questionable, but I was optimistic. He started off ok, cooking the fried rice for everyone and taking mine out in a separate bowl before adding the soy sauce. He served everyone else, then wiped down the grill and utensils... just with a wet towel. He dumped out my rice and cooked it on the unclean grill then gave to me. At this point I knew I couldn't eat the food without getting sick so went to the hostess and asked for a separate meal from the back kitchen. She apologized and said she'd let management know. I returned to the table where Manny had given me shrimp cooked right next to wheat noodles using the same utensils, without cleaning the grill at all. He proceeded to do the same for veggies & scallops, using the same utensils as for noodles and regular soy sauce. At that point my partner and I were laughing about how clueless he was, but knowing I'd get separate food soon I just held my breath. He went to the kitchen to grab something and I guess must have been told about the issue as he proceeded to discard my steak. My safely cooked food took nearly 30min to come out from the back kitchen and was delicious, but unfortunately Manny's lack of training reflects very poorly on this location in their training on allergen handling. My boyfriends regular food was over cooked and Manny seemed distracted throughout the meal preparation, not doing all the normal tricks and burning food. Hostess and management seemed to know that gluten free food needed to be cooked first, but obviously that standard was not enforced with actual cooking staff. If you have a gluten allergy or celiac, I'd recommend either paying attention very closely to grill cooking, or eating in the dining room to order food directly from the kitchen. Disappointing. On the positive side, my cranberry mojito was delicious, and Samantha was the best waitress we've had across 5 different Benihana locations in 4 states. read more

OMG! We had the best time! We missed the entire Benihana experience during quarantine so much! We generally go at least 5 times a year for table service plus a multitude of times for just sushi in the bar. Tonight was exceptional! Our chef in Indito, was out of this world! We experienced a comedy routine (think George Lopez on a good night) plus table show. It was refreshing to see some new tricks and new one line zingers! Clever boy Indito! It was all of our first time going here. The restaurant just seems run down, it needs a refresh but what can you expect in that location but based on what you're paying I'd expect a little bit nicer. Food was alright, drink service slow. Fried rice was bland, Vegas roll was tasty, spicy edamame wasn't great either. My filet was tender but my husbands steak was not good at all. I guess I expected more and maybe people are blinded by the "experience" and don't realize there is better food for the money. I probably wouldn't go back, once was enough for me. My stepson was blown away but he's 12 so not a discerning audience there. read more
