Great find with last minute selection. We were debating driving down as it is very far from home but best choice. We have a Mt Fuji by us in the Orchard mall area but this spot blew them away. Andy was our host and he killed it keep up great and led the Birthday celebration for my wife. "1 of 1" was or hibachi cook and he also was awesome. Food was delicious everything came out great and definitely a great food spot to add to the visit again list. Don't miss out if your down in the centennial area head over it is well worth it. Went here for dinner prior to a movie across the street. We always enjoy teppanyaki, so it seemed a good opportunity to try a new spot. Given we had a movie to catch, we made reservations in advance, so that there wouldn't be a delay. FOOD - Ingredients were fresh. Food was good, and cooked well, but strangely bland. I mean, I saw the chef put on seasoning and garlic and so forth, but it was just ... bland, even the fried rice. A spicy option on the grill might be helpful. The thai milk tea really didn't taste of tea, but it did have ... Hershey's syrup? Our party member who had sushi said it was okay. Portion sizes were good. SERVICE - Service was friendly. Water and iced tea were all refilled promptly. The manager stopped by our table frequently to make sure all was okay. The chef was the usual entertaining teppan chef. There was some confusion about seating -- we were put at one grill, sat there awhile, ordered drinks, sat a while longer, had another party join us, saw them moved to fill out another grill, and then after awhile we were moved to fill out still another grill. Since we were on the clock for a movie, that was a bit nerve-wracking (though once things got started, dinner service was fast and efficient). ATMOSPHERE - Between people talking, fans roaring, and chefs doing the teppanyaki show, it was pretty darned loud. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. NET-NET - At about $35/head, even without any alcohol, it felt a bit pricey. And it may have been an off night, or an off chef, but it wasn't a great dining experience -- nothing particularly wrong with the food, but nothing really right or enticing to draw us back. There are other options at Southglenn for a good meal before or after a movie, and we're more likely go to them in the future. read more

Update Returning after a great first visit -- this one told a different story. Food Something's shifted in the kitchen. The miso soup was thin and flat -- barely any miso paste or soy sauce. The salad was plain lettuce, nothing else. A clear step down from what we remembered. Drinks The cocktail menu has been scaled back, and the quality followed. Skip the cocktails -- if you want a drink, wine is the safer call. A note on the lunch deal The lunch discount promotion has ended, but the advertising banners are still up. It felt deliberate -- get people through the door and hope they stay. Not a great look. Summary: 3/5 The restaurant has declined since our first visit. New staff, weaker kitchen, misleading signage. The hibachi show is still enjoyable, but it's no longer the standout it once was. read more

We were part of a group of friends celebrating a birthday, and our group occupied a double set of hibachi grills. The food was excellent. The chefs were fun! But we were all looking forward to drinks from the bar and that was a mistake. There was one girl working the bar, but she was also waiting on tables...so my girlfriend and I got to sit there for OVER AN HOUR after we put our (simple) drink orders in. Not cool. So my recommendation: if you truly want to enjoy anything from the bar, go out for appetizers and drinks before coming here. We left here very disappointed. read more

We decided to check out the new Mt Fuji Sushi & Hibachi in Centennial this weekend. It's been in construction for SO long in Southglenn, we had to see what the fuss was all about once it finally opened - we were not disappointed in the ambiance and food. I could drink the salad dressing, I definitely asked for a side with veggies and meat and was served a gallon I think a few kinks need to be worked out - the young girls at receptionist desk were rude to each other in front of us (name calling/cussing in front of children), some of our dishes/wrappers weren't taken away during the meal at all, just a few small things like that. Food was delicious and affordable. We'll give it another shot see how they handled the receptionist issue. It was NOT a good start, we almost walked out before being seated to be honest. The girls were arguing like sisters in front of us, so maybe they're daughters of the owner or manager? They should be fired if not, otherwise trained and grounded if I'm being blunt. read more

Things started off badly. We walked in to the receptionist and there was barely room to stand. This is not all the restaurant's fault; it was below 20F and breezy outside, so no one was going to wait out there or in the freezing foyer. Found out later that around 15 of the people were in one group. We were basically ignored by the girl behind the desk for 15 minutes. There was another couple in front of us who had been waiting for 30 minutes. After another 10 minutes they left, leaving us first in line. 20 minutes past our reservation time, we really started to complain to any employee we could find. The receptionist finally tried to tell us something, but her English was so poor we did not understand her. We SAW the manger but couldn't get close enough to talk to her. Once the party of 15 was seated there was some breathing room. Suddenly 3 people got up from the table closest to us and left, one saying to us "Good Luck". I walked over to those chairs and said we would take them. The first party at the table (you know how hibachi is), told us they had been waiting for an hour for something after their soups and salads, and that is why the other group left in a huff. Once we were seated the manager cleaned up the area and got a waitress right away - guess maybe she heard we were ticked off. I was glad we were able to help the other people at the table finally get some attention! I guess they had already ordered long ago, and so the waitress rushed us to order without giving us any time to look at the menu. She also pushed the fried rice pretty heavily; I had to strongly insist I only wanted steamed rice. Found out when the bill came that each fried rice was almost $6, so that explained that. Our soup, salad and sake came out quickly. Not long after the chef came and he was a very pleasant individual. But his "hibachi entertainment skills" were limited and his serving was pretty sloppy. Granted, he was now rushing to accommodate the other poor folks. The food. I ordered the vegetable hibachi, my wife the shrimp, and my grandson the steak and shrimp. They said theirs was very good. First, they gave me a huge helping of fried rice from the common pile. I did taste it, and it was fine. Then, they gave me vegetables from the common pile, the same amount as everyone else who had ordered a protein received. I had to complain to the chef that I should have steamed rice, and he quickly flagged down a waitress and I finally got that. But no more vegetables for me as those around me got their "second course" of protein. I was waiting for the chef to cook me some more veggies when he started cleaning the table! I don't eat that much so I wasn't overly concerned, but when the chef gave me a puzzled look, I said I was supposed to have vegetable hibachi. He asked if I wanted more vegetables. I said sure, and after a while a steaming bowl arrived, apparently cooked at another table. The vegetables were VERY zucchini-heavy, with a little broccoli and a fair amount of mushrooms. It was fine. We were not offered desert, and basically given the bums rush to get out of there. Like I said, not ever issue was the actual fault of the place - the cold caused reception-area problems, and once we sat I noticed that the one party was occupying an entire table, and a different party was occupying TWO entire tables, and they seemed to have come in at almost the same time. There was at most 12 tables in there, because it was poorly laid out. There was a giant television (nice one!) but it had a huge amount of empty, wasted space in front of it. There was a long section of booths by the windows, left over from the room's last incarnation, where I guess people could just order sushi or tempura - but none of them were occupied. If I want sushi I will go to a sushi place. We go to Japanese grills for the grilling! My major complaint is the management/staff response to the issues. The receptionist seemed to just shut down when things became overwhelming, and they should never have reserved three complete tables at the same time. Or, alternatively, should have better managed the reservations for all the parties of 3-5 (us). I really don't know why the families at the table with us had to wait for an hour for a chef to show up, except they were kind and nice. And by that point, we were not. Finally, when my check came back with the charge slip, it also included the charge slip for someone else. Our bill was correct, so I paid and tried to get a waitress/manager's attention to give them the other person's bill, but to no avail. I finally gave up and left it on the table. So, lots of little issues made the whole evening a lot less fun than it should have been. Entire time from butts-in-chair to walking out the door was maybe 40 minutes, to be generous, though wait time was closer to 30. read more

Caveat that I had the AYCE sushi and not the hibachi. As always, I feel like the AYCE sushi experience is very standardized across most places. I've not observed any significant differences in taste or quality, usually only menu size. Mt Fuji gotta the category as just a very average AYCE sushi place. The interior is nice, and service is fast, but it's really not that memorable beyond that. read more

Mt Fuji is a great Hibachi restaurant that is reasonably priced for Hibachi. Our chef and server were very friendly and seemed like he enjoyed their jobs. The place is very clean and modern. All of the food was quite good but I do recommend upgrading the steak to fillet mignon. Overall, I definitely recommend for a fun dinner out! read more

For my granddaughter's birthday I decided to take her to Mt. Fuji in Centennial as she enjoys hibachi. It was myself, my daughter, one of my grandsons, and of course, the birthday girl. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and the hibachi chef put on a great performance. Every staff person we encountered were all very nice, and the all sang happy birthday to her and made her smile and feel special. The food was excellent as well. While not a place I would come to often as it's pretty expensive, for a special occasion I highly recommend it! read more

Deceptive, fraudish business practice. We ate lunch here yesterday on 6/20/2026. When my husband ordered Tonkatsu, he was told that this menu comes with either white rice or fried rice. At this time we were never told that there would be a surcharge for fried rice. When our waitress (who was pleasant and delivered an attentive, excellent customer service and we have no problem with her) asked me to check if the numbers were all correct on the payment device, I am fairly certain that this surcharge of whopping $2.95 for merely choosing fried rice did NOT display on the payment device. However, when I checked the receipt at home later, I found that this place sneakily and deceptively sneaked in this stupid surcharge behind my back. What kind of Asian restaurant imposes a surcharge for merely choosing fried rice amongst the given options of white or fried rice and even whopping $2.95 at that?! I'm so upset and deeply offended by this shady deception more than anything else. The kind of restaurant that practices this type of dishonest and deceptive business operation will not last long. Not impressed with our first visit on Friday evening. We inquired about happy hour as it was before 5pm. and were told they only have happy hour on Monday and Tuesday. And also the coupon we had was a mistake and the offer was also only good on Monday/ Tuesday. I looked at the offer I received in the mail- perhaps I missed something. Anyway in the end they end up accepting the promotional offer. But, it soured the whole experience. They caused us undue stress and embarrassment arguing in front of other guests seated with us. The food was typical and the hibachi chef was entertaining. Fantastic experience! We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday, only waited a few minutes for seats at a hibachi table, but then did wait maybe 10-15 min for a chef. Our 10yo had fun watching the other table shows while we waited for a chef though, so that was fine. We go to hibachi every year for my sons birthday. We were very excited to see this one *finally* open as it is closer than the one we normally go to. It started off a little shaky. The people seated with us ended up leaving as we waited a while for the dinner to begin. We aren't ones to get upset easily so we waited it out. Larry was great. There was drama with the people next to us leaving- it looked as though the owner made Larry deal with that instead of keeping Larry with us and us happy- but he again left our table to take care of the upset people. As a server myself- I believe the owner should have dealt with that differently and allowed for our experience to be what hibachi should be. The bar drinks need to be perfected as my Cosmo came out with a cherry in it and did not taste like a cosmo. The food was delicious and we will definitely go again. We hope they tighten things up and make it an experience worth the $267. read more

My husband and I just had a delicious lunch here. It was our first time in so we tried a little bit of everything. The sushi chef even sent out a free tuna appetizer and they gave us a free dessert (cheesecake bites). The chicken teriyaki lunch box was cute with California rolls and cream cheese wontons included. The hibachi filet was perfectly cooked and I think Mt. Fuji officially makes the best friend rice around. I should have taken photos but I just started eating The staff were all lovely and attentive. Absolutely wonderful experience. Came in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Tuesday and had a Hibachi dinner for 2 special we couldn't pass up! Upgraded it to get the Filet accompanied with the Tuna and the quality of the meat and fish was to die for. Our Hibachi chef was clever and classy. We sat next to a mother and 2 daughters, it was a wonderful experience. Completely slow at the 3 o'clock time, and hope that people give this place a shot! Would love to keep it open. 10/10 will be coming back, especially during the Monday/Tuesday special! read more
