Let's start at the very beginning...a very good place to start.... Oh dear, the worst. Let me preface this by saying that we have been here every year for my daughter's birthday since she could sit in a chair. I made a reservation for 7:00 pm a couple of weeks ago. We arrived at 6:47 to find an armed guard at the check in desk. He was packing heat, packing a taser, and packing an attitude. The dude with a visible firearm is a real nice touch! How many minutes until the armed robbery ensues? We were finally sat at 7:50 and the woman who took our drink order promptly told us that they were "understaffed and to expect to wait." Neat! We're all excited now especially since we just waited for an hour to sit down! 8:26 and no drink, so I made my way to the bar to get my own. Whatevs. Around 8:35 Jacob (who is a very nice guy) arrived to make our food. He was great, but to no one's surprise our food took a hundred years and had enough salt to choke a horse. Tomorrow's bloat awaits us. At 9:04 we were still eating and my original drink arrived. I politely asked the waitress to remove the charge since I had gotten my own 20 minutes before. She was put off and said "ok I'll tell them." I don't know who "them" is, but you can also tell "them" that this was an overpriced waste of three hours. I think we were finally freed from the penitentiary around 9:40. A three hour tour...a three hour tour. Benihana, you're fired. read more

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely fabulous, fun time. We arrived right on time for our 7:15 Saturday reservation to be told that they're running a little behind, but not a problem! We immediately found a couple seats at the bar, ordered drinks, and then buzzer indicating our table was ready went off before we even had half of our first drink! Perfectly acceptable. The people we were seated with at the table were all very nice, and everybody had a great time. Our drinks were never empty for long. The chef was funny and put on a good show. I felt like it was a lot of food for the money. Going there, I didn't have very high expectations about the quality of food, but it all was surprisingly well-cooked and delicious!... well, except the salad. I didn't care for the salad at all, but I still had plenty of other yummy food to fill up on. I ordered the spicy chicken and my boyfriend got the filet mignon and then we spilt each between us. It was more than enough food for us. It was a great experience, and we'll be back when we want another fun-type of dinner! read more

Such a great experience! Colocho was our chef and was so helpful. He helped us get whatever we needed even as he was cooking and still made the best food we've ever had here! We got a secret menu item and also he made sure to chill out on the onion volcano when we had a small one who was afraid of fire. We had a reservation at 6 pm. We weren't seated until 7. There was no apology or how can we make this up to you. We were seated and a waitress did not come to us for 15 min. I had to flag down a waiter to get someone to come to our table. Our chef was great! Food was good. It would have been nice to have more than just onion and zucchini for veggies because it was a TON of onion. They don't serve fried rice. The meal comes with white rice and they up charge you $4 per person for fried rice. I'm not sure I'll go back as this was my first experience and not extremely positive. This is supposed to be a nice fancy restaurant. So my fiancé and I went on a date night here and had the worst experience! At first the waitress was super nice and friendly. The cook was awful and didn't talk or engage with anyone at the table. The waitress later said he was new but if had just been trained you would have thought that he would have known the routine of saying somethings. Once the meal was over I handed the waitress a gift card she said she had to take it in the back. So We waited and waited and waited. She didn't return. So we went up front and talked to someone saying we needed to pay the remaining of the bill. I assume the manger told us that she had just helped the waitress with the gift card and she was on her way back to our table. So we went back to our table and the waitress was no where to be found. So we waited and waited some more. The cleaner even came by and cleaned our table. We were very irritated by this point. But we waited some more. Finally we were so fed up we headed to the front again. On the way to the front we saw our waitress with food in her hand and she screamed Ma'am you haven't paid your remaining balance. I know that! I've been waiting 20/30 minutes just for you to bring our check. I explained to her that we were waiting for her to come back and that the manager had said she was on her way back. So she then coped an attitude and was saying well I have other tables to take care of. She was extremely rude. So we had to go back to our table for the 3rd time and wait some more. This was the most ridiculous and embarrassing experience. I'm sure the other tables were like wtf why do those people keep coming back to the table when clearly their table is cleared off. It felt like we were trapped at this restaurant and couldn't leave because we had $3 remaining on the check. We had plans after the fact that we were very late for because we had to wait over 20/30 minutes just to have the check resolved. I wish that I had cash so I could have just left it and left. But this was by far the worst experience I have ever had here. And I can't believe how rude the waitress was when we expressed our frustration with having to sit and wait and wait and wait for her just to bring the check back. 10/10 would not recommend coming to this restaurant. read more

Benihana has been our favorite dinner spot for any special occasion or just for fun. We have never had such a horrible experience there as we did last night June 21, 2022. Makes me really sad. We had reservations for our party of 5 at 730 pm. They sat us down and said they would have us seated soon. Literally we sat there for 90 minutes waiting. Mind you I have young kids and they were not happy. Finally after asking a couple times we were seated. But we got seated by the loudest more obnoxious table. It is always loud in Benihana which is totally fine but these two tables were out of control loud and belligerent. I assume there were having a party. After being seated we got our soup and salad and then we waited another full hour for our chief to come out. We didn't eat until almost 1030 pm. The other family at our table left and the manager offers to take care of most of the bill. He also stopped by one time and told us he would take care of us. Well we get our bill nothing was taken care of. Over $200. So I complained and asked why the drink weren't at least comped. Finally the took a small amount off. But the family at our same table got almost their whole bill taken care of. It took almost 3 hours for us to get our food and the we could even talk because of the tables next to us. Horrible experience for us and especially our kids. I love Benihana but I question whether we will go back anytime soon. read more

I have been coming here for 14 years, and my family for 25+ years. This experience was the absolute worst I have ever had. Matt the manager was completely unaware of everything going on. His host did not wear a mask and not only that but she was very hostile and rude to clients. The restrooms are completely filthy and after coming here for many many years I wouldn't recommend coming back. I would love a call back from Dan the general manager because the lack of respect for clientele is disgusting. I would love an actual response/ call from the business owner. read more

I have been to Benihana's twice now and there is nothing special that stands out to me when I have gone. Pros: Having you food prepared right in front of you, friendly staff, and the food is not awful, but not amazing, just average. Food was excellent. However, my girlfriend's wallet went missing from her purse either in the restaurant or in the surrounding area. Called Benihana to be informed that they only have security cameras at their host stand and not in the actual dining room. Now we get to go through all the fun of getting her social security card, driver's license, credit cards, etc. replaced. I'm not going to definitively say that it was stolen at the restaurant, but it was in her purse before we went in and was not in her purse when we got home. Ridiculous, if you're going to charge $110 for a meal for two, I think you can afford some cameras. Will never return, I would recommend you don't either. read more

Hands down this is one of my favorite places to eat, my family enjoys to eat here on special occasion or just because the price could be pricey but you could find deals such as lunch specials etc... I would definitely recommend the fried rice yum!!! The staff is VERY friendly and we have been treated with the up most respect every single time. I also call ahead for reservations (they can get pretty busy) the person who answers the phone are always nice and my reservations have been accurate, you do have to have you whole party there in order to be seated. Benihana is a place for not only great food but it's for the experience as well. Unfortunately chef Jorge does not provide that. Ever. I've had him twice and the food is great but the quality of coming to have an experience is not. He is quiet. He doesn't talk. He doesn't laugh. He doesn't make jokes. Had a reservation for 5:30 but weren't seated until 6:15, and then of course you don't get any food until everyone orders. Have you tried waiting for 45 minutes to an hour with a squirmy and hungry toddler? Not cool. Servers were prompt with water and soup/salad, and the fried rice was great. But my sister ordered the surf and turf which was supposed to come with filet mignon and sea scallops- and they didn't even bring out the sea scallops, which we unfortunately didn't realize until we got home. I'm so frustrated with this experience and the only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food itself is good; but the wait with a reservation is ridiculous and I'm annoyed that they didn't bring the complete food order, which we paid for. My husband and I made a RESERVATION here for our anniversary. They sat us at the table then left us there for 30 min!! No one came by with water or to take a drink order. My husband went to the front multiple times and even the security guard apologized. we ended up walking out after 40 min sitting there with no service. All-You-Can-Eat sushi night is a really good deal if you can eat a lot. Sushi is okay but nothing spectactular- there is certainly fresher to be had at Sushi Den, Sushi Uokora in Golden, Namiko's, etc. I'm sooooo over the whole hibachi thing, so we never do that. YThat said, you do have to go to Benihanas at least once in your lifetime for the experience of it. read more

My son had arranged for 11 of us to have a Hibachi dinner @ your restaurant last night at 4:00.  He made these reservations well over a month ago.  When he called to someone live they said it would be crowded but you could get 11 around the hibachi table. We arrived well before 4:00.  Miss 2-Inch Nails at the front counter was not helpful at all.  Obviously your restaurant was overbooked.  We waited & waited.  No one came by to update us.  I saw you walk by @ one point.  Miss 2-Inch Nails said it would be too crowded for 11 @ the table BUT we'd have to wait a long time for a table.  I asked if this couldn't have been resolved when my son made the reservations.  We were probably seated @ 4:40 at 1 table. We waited & waited for our server to come by.  When I asked Miss 2-Inch Nails where they were, she didn't know.  He finally appeared.  We had to ask for water & napkins.  I know you were busy, but who's fault is that?  Not ours. It was so hot in your restaurant.  And yes we were crowded but we made do. After I told a friend we'd booked Benihana she said she was so disappointed at a recent lunch that her party left without eating.  She said the tables were sticky & dirty & the 2 men she was with refused to eat there.  My twin & her husband scouted things out ahead of time and said it appeared clean.  My son put his iPhone on his seat while putting his 13-month old in a high chair it and when he picked it up it was covered with sauce & grease.  He spent part of the meal cleaning off his phone & making sure his shorts weren't dirty.  Really? Our bill (with a 20% tip) was $556.05.  We also tipped the hibachi chef $20 for his show. You should know that I'm not happy and that I will never again go to any Benihana restaurant because of yesterday. Food is pricey and portions are on the small side. You are paying for the entertainment aspect of the dining experience. The chefs are entertaining but all hibachi places do the same routine. Boyfriend and I both had chicken and shrimp combo. Chicken was dry and shrimp was good. Everything tastes like soysauce and they use massive amounts of butter and oil to cook on the grill. Our dinners came with ice cream and hot green tea. $70 meal with tip... Service was good. Prepare to smell like a bbq pit after you leave. read more

If I was able to not have to give even one star I would. We just left there after having placed an order since 10 am.... for 6 this evening. And I'm positive I was not the one who planned on a special meal as it's the holiday or whatever. Okay sooo we get there and everyone looks so confused standing outside. There's absolutely zero order. I'll excuse the fact that circumstances are weird right now for the covid19 season is upon us so there was zero distancing being practiced. There was not one person outside facilitating things at all... they weren't answering the phones so people were going in confused and coming out more confused..my husband gets out of the car and talks to a couple people, who were there for hours... trying to pick up orders from before 3!!!it's now after 6!!! How unacceptable is this?! So what a huge waste of time when you set side time aside get a baby sitter so you can grab a bite alone ... just to have to find somewhere else to go. Anyways we asked for a refund to cancel the order and that wasn't exactly good people service either... so there's that I do not recommend this place to go at least. HORRIBLE! We have been celebrating birthdays at Benihana's for the past 18 years. We went to celebrate our son's 16th birthday and never have received such poor service. We will NEVER go again. Our waitress served our drinks and soup and was never seen again- the manager had to serve us our drinks and gave us water for our refills. The waitress never came back until we went to find her at the end of our meal, I don't even know when she would've came out if we didn't seek her out. She only was waiting on two tables and wasn't even helping the other table either- one of the ladies went to the bar and get her own drink. I wanted the tip to only go to the chef, but they said she gets part of it too- a tip is for service, not frustration and no service- she doesn't deserve any of it. This was the first time I have ever been to Benihana. I thought it was super cool the way the cook spun an egg on his spatula and flipped shrimp tails onto the top his hat. How exciting, a show and dinner. I thought the prices were decent considering the mounds of food that you get. I took some home for lunch the next day. One thing I wasn't prepared for are the strangers sitting around the same little cooking island with us. There was a younger, chubby businessman that sat down next to us and he ordered two sushi rolls and an entree. He had a striped, short sleeved dress shirt that looked two sizes too small. He looked like a panty hose stuffed with potatoes... all lumpy in the strangest places. He then proceeded to put on an impressive eating display by gorging all his food down. I thought there was no way he could eat all of it, but sure enough, he did. I guess I got to see two shows that night. We started our night at the bar while our table was prepared. The bar area wasn't the cleanest. Benihana usually has a good environment, and the food is outstanding. Sometimes they don't do the whole cooking show at this location, but the food is still of great quality. In this particular instance, Suarez was our chef for the evening.
