My bf and I came here for hibachi dinner. The wait was 10 minutes for the two of us, and then was seated with 2 others. The service was friendly and the cook was mellow. Nothing too fancy. The filet mignon was amazing, the chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned. However, the vegetables were pretty good. When we got the bill gratuity is included for 8 people but there were just 2 of us. The bill was 149.75 and paid $200. We only received $30 back in cash... Which means the waitress took $21 to herself. She would have gotten a bigger tip if she had given the correct change back. My bf waited 10 minutes for her to come back to ask where the rest was but she never returned, so we just left. Wont be coming back to this location.

Benihana never disappoints for a casual, yet flavorful experience. The food is always good whether you do the whole hibachi show or just grab a table. My friend and I went on a Friday night and were fortunate enough to be seated promptly. Our server was friendly and attentive. All of our food arrived cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the festive cocktail menu. Highly recommend the cranberry spice mojito!

Nice location with plenty of parking, and the inside is very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, we were a little disappointed with the food. We ordered the six-course combination, which included the onion soup, appetizers, filet, chicken, and shrimp. Everything was cooked to our liking, but the dishes lacked seasoning and didn't have the flavor we've experienced at other hibachi restaurants. Overall, it was an okay experience, but the food could definitely use more flavor.

I went here for the first time and I can honestly say that the food was pretty good and the customer service and ambiance was great as well I had the raspberry lemonade to drink and the hibachi steak well done with the colossal shrimp well done and white rice and I think next time I'm gonna get the same thing but with the fried rice no egg I definitely will be back soon

We grabbed dinner here this weekend as walk-ins. We were told about a ~20 minute wait for Both Hibachi or regular dining but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered the exotic mojito and it was delicious.i ordered steak and my friend got chicken. The food was great and the staff provided great service. This was my first time visiting this Benihana location and I would return again. I took a star off because the bathroom wasn't the cleanest.

Very nice restaurant with good ambiance. Food was pretty good but Korean barbecue is much better in my opinion. Arturo the chef was very nice and interactive.

Thank you Benihana for your generous portions and fun staff making a birthday celebration for all ages delicious and entertaining. It's been a few years since I've visited this location and I would come back. Courses will well spread out, chef used up all his tricks and my toddler daughter enjoyed them all. Now it's not Benihana without the garlic butter and fresh veggies. Thankfully the food was flavorful and enough leftovers for lunch the next days. Did you know they have souvenir mugs? A great item to bring home for your favorite drink or even a small plant. Location did however feel a little sticky inside so I removed a star.

Much better experience this time and our server Jose was very on point! I even tried a new few things and danced around the menu and was pleasantly surprised by my new picks.

Today was my first time trying Benihana. I've read reviews before so my expectations weren't high. We went on a Tuesday for lunch. The restaurant itself is very nice. It was super clean and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were spotless. We had to wait maybe 10 to 12 minutes before we were seated. The hostess was pleasant. Our waiter was being trained and he did an excellent job. He refilled lemonade without being asked. He paid lots of attention to our table. He made sure the kids had the children's chop sticks. I appreciated his attentiveness. Our cook was Emilio. He was great!! I see a lot of reviews speaking on how the food is tastelessand even my friend who I went with said the food is bland. Welllll, thank god for Emilio. Everything tasted great. He did a great job seasoning. We sat with a women who requested extra garlic butter on everything and I think that actually might be the key to having lots of flavor. It also could be that the place wasn't super busy so I don't feel like Emilio rushed to get through our seating. The lunch prices are great! No complaints. Portions we're very good. I had a full container of left overs. I'll definitely be back again!

We had a party of 6 and still had to wait about 25 minutes for a table as the place is pretty small. Right after we sat down we accidentally spilled a glass of water and it took so much effort to flag down a waiter to get some napkins. They didn't even help us clean it up, we could barely mop up what was on spilled on the table because they gave us very little napkins. Then when we asked for more napkins when the food came out the waitress counted it out and gave us exactly 6, one for each person. As for the food, a big disappointment. The tuna was not the bright pink color it normally is and instead had a dark red/purple hue to it, a little concerning. The yellowtail and squid were super chewy. The mackeral was very fishy, which I understand mackeral is on the fishy side for raw fish but I've had it in Japan where is was the exact opposite. Honestly, the only fresh tasting fish was the salmon. The food was slow to come out even though the wait staff was very attentive with grabbing our menu orders. Most likely will not be returning.

While it's not quite on the level of New York City's omakase spots, it's solid for New Jersey and worth a visit if you're in the area. Standout bites for me were the Otoro and Chu Toro- both beautifully fatty and flavorful - as well as the Hamachi with shishito and the scallop topped with crispy garlic. Other highlights included the Madai (seabream), barracuda, striped jack, and a satisfying bone marrow served with toast. I also tried Kumamoto oysters for the first time in years, and they were a lovely surprise-cleaned properly, topped with a light sauce, and incredibly fresh. The Hokkaido uni was creamy, though slightly more briny and bitter than I personally prefer. Mr. Bin himself mentioned that uni flavor can vary depending on the season. Throughout the meal, Mr. Bin was present and helpful, guiding us toward which fish to try. The fish is delivered fresh twice a week, and the quality really does show. That said, it's still missing that little extra something that sets top-tier omakase apart- the purposeful dot of yuzu sauce, the hidden dab of wasabi under the fish, or a crisp garnish that adds dimension and surprise. Some sushi have this, some don't. The technique is good, the fish is fresh, and the experience was enjoyable- I'd return- but it's a notch below the more elevated experiences you can find in the city. Hence 4 stars. Solid though, and friendly. Nice ambiance inside too, Saturday dinner time it filled up quickly so I recommend a reservation.

I've eaten at Ottoyee for months now, and each experience has been incredibly delicious. However, the only thing is that the wait time can run very long. Not for the food to arrive, but for placing the order. We tried to get the attention of the waiter on staff multiple times, but was either ignored or they were behind the screen attending to something else. The wait time was around 15-20 minutes, but this is likely attributed to the small staff. Otherwise though, they were incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the menu and we still had a delicious experience as usual.

I so wanted to love this place, and was so excited to try it when reading the menu. Otoro? Ramen?…read moreGyudon? It all sounded like the perfect restaurant, but I'm really hesitant to return. Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.

So when a friend chose Sushi O for her birthday outing I was less than excited, I was told they had hibachi style chicken and steak so that softened the blow. Sushi O is conveniently located off of route 1 in a medium size plaza with a good amount of parking. When you walk in, the soothing dim lights with the soft purple icicle lights is such a vibe, great for a date night. The music also has a soothing quality that almost puts you in a calming trance. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Let me tell you, the servers? Top notch. We were helped by a man when we first came in, and later a woman. Both were incredibly pleasant, attentive, and did not rush us at all. We were there from just before 6 until after 8... a record for our after work crowd!! I also left my favorite sunglasses behind which would have been so upsetting, but our female server ran out to make sure I did not leave without them, I was so appreciative. Last but certainly not least- the FOOD! So remember, I'm a sushi hater? No longer! They had a fantastic peanut and avocado roll that I ordered with soy paper instead of seaweed (I really don't like the taste of the sea) paired with the soy sauce it was a nice amalgamation of flavor and texture, I thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered pan fried gyoza and edamame for the table both extremely well executed. A friend said the gyoza was melt in your mouth quality and I felt that was quite accurate. I tried my friend's sweet potato roll which did have seaweed wrap on it but I actually really liked that too! For my meal I got hibachi steak. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I'm not big on mushrooms but I even gobbled those up- so good! With the hibachi meals you get plenty of food- salad, miso soup, your choice of hibachi style protein, hibachi mixed vegetables & hibachi rice. I had such a great experience at Sushi O, I will definitely be back. They have officially converted me!
