It's been a long time since I have been to this location. There is plenty of seating and spacious. The hibachi is the one that most go for and what we did too. There was a group of 7 of us and we were seated once everyone in the party arrived. It includes salad and soup. The steak was good along with the veggie sides and loads of rice that they give everyone. There was a scoop of ice cream provided at the end of the course and it was a nice ending to the meal. The service was attentive and wonderful throughout the entire visit. There was no leftovers since I finished it all because it was very good. Also, there is a view of the intercoastal and it's very nice since there's not a lot of places that have the nice view with the hibachi going on.

I'm usually not a hibachi kinda girl, but I loved my recent dining experience here. The food was great and the service was quick. I asked for extra sauces and they were at my table swiftly. This is a very high energy environment with friendly staff. Be mindful that it does get pretty hot and you will leave smelling like food, but it's worth it.

Was in the area and wanted the good taste of Benihana went and ordered the steak entrée, which did not disappoint--cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I also tried the seasonal pumpkin margarita, but it didn't have much of a pumpkin taste, which was a bit disappointing, especially given the $17 price tag. It tasted more like apple than pumpkin. I sat downstairs where they don't cook in front of you like the traditional hibachi experience, but they do make sushi right at the bar, which was still fun to watch. The service was great overall, but next time I might skip the pumpkin margarita.

Biggest piece of shit Hibachi I've ever had and this was their second chance, if you actually enjoy this dirty rice you haven't eaten at a Benihana in Miami. We don't eat here at this quality of food. Guy's I'm serious they suck head, totally not the quality of the name. One word bye never again read more

Had a really bad experience with this restaurant. Not only did the service stink (really being kind with my words) I had to clear off the dirty plates from my table. ( to make room), Venessa, the waitress, gave my appetizer to another guest. And tried to say that she didnt put my order in.. The only bright side was the chef. He was kind, well mannered, and entertaining.. He made dinner enjoyable.. Big difference from the older well staffed and managed benihanas. Not recommended.. Customer service means a lot to me and you're paying a premium at Benihanas. Redo your staff, clean uop the eating area, and make sure your staff is competent 0 STARS read more

OMg the red plum sake sangria is insane. I don't think it had much alcohol in it but that's ok I'm driving anyways. Sooooo flavorful 10/10. Also got some kind of fried tuna appetizer thing. Loved the jalapeño on top :-) very filling appetizer. Our server was super friendly and made our experience great. I think his name was Charles? He was new to the job, but did great in my opinion. This is one of the better hibachi restaurants. We haven't been here in a long while now. The food seems to have improved a little. This is one of those places to come to for a celebration or group gathering. The lunch menu is a lot cheaper than the dinner menu, with about the same type of food. Spend one birthday dinner here and you will get a coupon to entice you to come back every year! We had Surfside (a combination of Shrimp, Calamari and Scallops) and the Chicken Fried Rice. The menu isn't too overwhelming and I'm pretty sure between my husband and I, we've tried every roll. My favorite is the dinner bento box because it's $30 and I get to pick one traditional roll and two mains, so I usually go with teriyaki salmon (for my daughter), my favorite simple roll, the Tokyo roll (for myself), and usually have sashimi leftover for lunch the next day. It's a lot of food because dinners come with soup and salad. Usually my son eats the salad and the rice so it's a nice meal. We discovered this place the day we were moving in because it's right across the street and we've been coming ever since. My only request for improvement is service as we usually get the server who knows very little English and it makes it hard to order what we want. Overall, this place is a local gem, highly recommend.

However, Chinese buffets is my wife's sweet spot and so here we are at Mikata. Atmosphere: if you have ever been to a Chinese buffet, you know the look... functionally efficient cafeteria. Definitely not a mood environment. As with all buffets, it had tons of people moving through the lines to gather as much food as they could. Service: As with the atmosphere, it was functionally efficient. Although I must admit, our server did talk with us and had a great smile. Food: Ah the food. I never like buffets because the food is usually underdone when it first comes out and becomes overdone as it sits and waits to be picked on. However, even though I don't like Chinese buffets, because I visit them often (for my lovely bride) I've become quite experienced of the genre. And if you compare the Mikata buffet with other buffet' s, I must say, this one is as good as it gets. The crab Rangoon was small but amply filled with cheese. The ribs were juicy, and the peel and eat shrimp were top notch. As a bonus, they even offered asparagus instead of the usual broccoli or green beans. My favorite offering was the roasted duck. It was juicy without being fatty, absolutely the best I've had in a Chinese buffet. Even the ice cream tasted better than most. Price: Here is the best thing about Mikata. Where else can you get an all you can eat dinner for $17.00 per person! Even McDonalds will cost you more than that! The Bottom Line: As always my "customer so what" is would I come back? Knowing my wife's proclivity towards Chinese buffets, you can bet on it. However, because of the price and quality, she won't hear my usual complaints.

The shrimp were excellent with the spice adding a nice flavor to the slightly crispy shrimp. (A national chain has shrimp like these but not as good) Calamari was good but not particularly memorable. For dinner my wife ordered the Citrus Crusted Salmon special. This dish was pan seared and served with a delicious mango remoulade. My wife said this is as good salmon as she's ever had. I agreed after trying the small piece she shared with me. I was really in the mood for grouper. It was only offered as a sandwich-not as an entree. I'm glad I stuck with that choice as it was also excellent. We had a great server who kept the drinks coming and continually checked on us. What's better than discovering a new restaurant and enjoying it with friends? Here's the real problem. We can't possibly stay long enough to revisit all our new favorites. We will definitely be back to Black Marlin.

Even with the sugar mishap the place is darling and we will definitely return whenever we visit the Stuart/Jensen Beach area. The divorce lawyer next door had a hilarious sign we couldn't resist - I wonder if they're always this funny? We'll check it out next time - although I think I'll stick to a plain Latte with almond milk.

It was 12:20 PM. I called ahead to see if my family of 5 and I could show up without a reservation. The lady on the phone told me that we could do so. We got into the restaurant at 12:32 PM. Upon entering the entry way there was not an employee in sight. I noticed there was a camera so someone may have potentially seen us standing there. We waited for around 8 minutes for an employee to come down the stairs. We told her we were a party of 5 including one booster seat. No apology was given to us for the wait, she then asked us if would like to be seated downstairs or upstairs. We let her know that it was our first time there. I asked if the view was better upstairs. She said yes and that upstairs they cooked right infront of you and downstairs was private dining. She could have used come common sense and told us this right from the start rather than have us waste our time prying the information from her. We told her we would like to be seated upstairs and she instructed us that there would be a 15 to 20 minute wait to which we happily agreed. My mother in law asked if the bathroom was downstairs to which the same employee from earlier replied "yes". She went downstairs and walked around, to her surprise there was no washroom there. She walked back and asked again and this time the employee told her it was upstairs. After 5 minutes or so, while my mother in law was upstairs, the employee instructed us that our seats were ready and we could follow her upstairs. Myself, my wife and my two little girls proceeded to follow her upstairs, she then lead us to a table with 4 empty seats, we reminded her that there was 5 of us, again no apology, she scampered around going to different tables and then came back and told us we could sit "over here" at an empty table. We sat down and I took my 5 year to the restroom. Upon returning to the table, my wife had gone to the restroom with my 2 year old so it was me, my 5 year old and my mother in law. A new employee came over and asked us how we were, she started off pleasant but then asked us what we would like to drink. I told her maybe just waters for now and that my wife was just in the bathroom. She replied in an extremely snarky voice, "well you could just go ahead and order your stuff for now that's all I'm saying". To this I replied, "You really don't need to be short with us, we've already had a bad experience here at the front door." And she replied "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I'm happy to serve you, I didn't mean to be rude I swear". I said "thank you" and then she left. Rather than risk having any more issues I decided we would go to the Dolphin Bar instead where we were served by a delightful gentleman named Brian. I do hope they resolve the staffing issues at Benihana because after watching the Steve Aoki documentary, I was really looking forward to experiencing his father's legacy. read more

After I wrote my first review, we were so impressed with Lila's service and how well she treated us that we went back every single week and dined downstairs with her. She feels like family to us. As soon as she sees us; she knows exactly what we want and sets it up for us. My two toddlers absolutely love her and get so excited to see her. We have brought so many friends and family and dined upstairs and have always been treated well. If Lila knows we are dining upstairs, she will come say hi to us or my toddlers will insist we go say hi to Lila which we always do. We hadn't come back for the last few months because we got busy but my husband came during the holidays and bought a bunch of gift cards to give as gifts. We love Benihana so much that we want our friends, and our kids teachers to enjoy them too. We came back last Saturday to dine with Lila and just like before she remembered exactly what we wanted. It felt so nice to be remembered. We had a delicious lunch with excellent service. She is the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful server we have ever met. Today I made reservations to dine upstairs at the Hibachi Table. After I checked in I went downstairs to say hi to Lila. Lila had gone upstairs and will be right back, I was told by the sushi chef but what made me so happy was that he was so genuinely happy to see me. He recognized me and knew that I had come to look for Lila. I told him we will come next week to dine with them. Today we were dining upstairs. Then. I saw Lila and again she was so happy to see me. Moises was our server upstairs today. Dining with two toddlers, 3 and under is never easy. My first priority is to get them both fed and settled so that they are happy and everyone else is happy too. We asked Moises to bring the soups and rice for the girls first. Again what an excellent and patient server he is. We had so many requests and he fulfilled each of them with not one attitude. He was attentive, making sure our drinks were never empty and all the dirty dishes were promptly removed. He made our dining experience so special. Effrain was our chef today. As soon as my 3 year old saw him, she asked him for a Mickey Mouse and a heart. She had her heart set on both. Every time we have dined here it has almost always been the heart fried rice, I have never seen chefs make both so I wanted her to be prepared but my gosh! How sweet was Effrain, he first made a heart fried rice and then he went and made a Mickey Mouse fried rice for her. She was so elated so was my 2 year old. The food was delicious as always. We have so many choices for dining around us, but why do we come back to Benihana so often? It is because of the excellent service, and how well we are treated each time. That is why this Benihana will always be our favorite restaurant. read more

We ended up at Benihana is Sewalls Point last night for dinner and it wasn't quite what I had grown to expect from other Benihana locations that I have visited over the years. Clearly this is one of the locations that has not been updated since the 80s. That said, the restaurant is located directly on the water and if you are lucky enough to get a hibachi table on the windows, the water view is spectacular. If you do not get the window seat, the space is somewhat confining and has that very pronounced greasy smell / feel based on the hibachi cookers. Sadly the water view tables were being held for some type of private event that didn't happen during the 2 hours we were there. The front staff was very nice, we didn't have to wait to be seated and ended up at a table with some very nice other couples - all of who asked if we could move to the open water view tables. The menu is bulletproof at Benihana. We both started with Hibachi Rice and went into the main courses without any issue. Overall I give the food a 4/5 stars. The wait staff and the chef were clearly not from Japan which is acceptable, but the fact that they spoke English to each other at times and Spanish at other times struck all at the table as odd. The 'show' of creating the meal on the grill was lacking and honestly would have been better if it was not attempted. Drinks were very slow in coming after being ordered and there was confusion over the bill at the end of the evening. What made me deliver a 2 star review is the venue itself and the wait/chef staff. They were marginal at best and I expected more from a Benihana franchise. The restaurant did not appear clean and the furniture and seating were showing serious signs of wear. In some areas the carpet had duct tape holding seams down and there were vacuums visible next to our table. We have a wonderful Benihana on the water here in Fort Lauderdale which is a 4 out of 5 rating every time we go.Spotless and more modern. I would recommend finding an alternative if you are in Stuart looking for Japanese food. Sorry Rocky! read more

We booked a table for my friends 50th birthday. What a mistake ! Since I have Celiac (gluten allergy) I requested all food to be cooked with gluten free soy sauce. Cross contamination happens all the time in restaurants but this takes the price .... we had to share table with another group of ppl . who where not gluten free . The chef was rude and totally uninspired and was not capable to handle the situation. He started cooking for the other company first .... Pouring soy sauce all over ...oh boy I was thinking like this man doesn't really give a shit ! we had to sit and watch him cook for the other company first . When it was our turn of course he cleaned the table in between but it only takes a little piece of soy sauce for me to get sick . So I crossed my fingers and decided to eat anyway. I've been sick for 2 days now .... the staff sang a happy birthday song for my friend... they should have skipped it . It felt like they wanted to be anywhere else but there . The birthday girl was drinking tea ... not even once they asked her if she wanted a refill . I had to ask several times for them to bring us desert !!! We waited and waited ... it took for ever ( the place was half empty !!!)she got the desert much later and they only had ice cream . finally I had enough and complained to the manager . He took $37 off our bill with a lame lame apology for a disaster dinner that should have been good . I'm never going back to this place again . I'm a local. I've been away for 10 yrs. I have fond memories of this place and the garden with a waterview. I was with my husband (new to area) and saw the big property and shiny blue roof.... I had to show off one of the best places to eat in Sewalls with a gorgeous location to boot. I first took him thru the Japanese garden... That was sad, the garden was abandon and dangerous to walk. Then we went through the main entrance... dark and the little rock "zen" garden they used to display down there, was totally just gravel now. Finally the interior was depressing... carpets frayed, torn and dirty and interior design dated. Most restaurants get a renovation every 7-10 yrs... this place is the same since the 80s when it opened! Then the food, everything has loads of Butter and Oil, and i hardly ate b/c the place felt dirty/moldy/dusty and when i went to the bathroom it happened...I saw a cockroach!!!! I say this: Benihana Stuart, Don't you owe it to your patrons to truly renovate your property? The location is one of a kind and if the owners ignore doing a major renovation,This place will lose business. Don't milk the area's people and pocket our hard earned money... I would like to start by stating that I only gave 1 star because the chef was amazing and the food was very good. However I have to only give it one start because it was my daughter's 9th birthday and unfortunately due to COVID this is the first time we have been out because we have a 6 month old. We contemplated going however we took the risk and went. We made the reservation under a birthday, told the person seating us that it was her birthday, told our server that it was her birthday. As we watched the staff sing happy birthday to 3 other people we went to a different server to let them know it was her birthday and still NOTHING. The craziest part about the situation is she was wearing a sash that said ITS MY BIRTHDAY. To many this may not be a big deal but to a 9 year old this meant something. We came this evening to celebrate my father in laws birthday. We were immediately greeted by Sharon who was welcoming and warming. We were served soup that was piping hot and salads that were cold crisp and the homemade dressing was spot on! Our server Sharon was very attentive. She payed close attention to all of our needs and always assured our glasses were full. Our chef Betty prepared impeccable food. The fried rice was the best we've ever had. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Our server Sharon and chef Francisco made it more than just dinner. It was a fun night out. My step daughter is vegan and Sharon completely understands all that entails. She made sure that her meal was just as good as the rest of ours, and prepared so there would be no issues.
