I ordered a cheese-less pizza out of personal preference rather than out of medical necessity. Almost immediately after ordering, I received a phone call from the location requesting clarification; despite ordering the pizza without cheese, they informed me their sauce had parmesan. Tell me you have had a big Benito's slice at a party for an evening snack? I can't say I have ever had this pizza at dinner time or earlier. We had stacks of these for a party several months ago. The slices were so long that they hung over the cheap paper plates at the party. Longer than my forearm at least. The slices weren't bad, a bit on the greasy side, but many pizzas are greasy if they have some cheese on them. I wouldn't consider them gourmet but they do make the biggest slices I have seen. Kids would get a kick out of the sheer length and size of the pizzas here for sure. Service was fast for pickup, then again they were just pepperoni and cheese pizzas. Lived up the road for over 17 years (by Dairy Queen). First time trying Benito's - as I favor thicker crust pizza. But my wife now prefers a thinner crust - so we've tried various options. This is my favorite so far. Very cheesy and flavorful. The pepperoni had some oomph without being too spicy. The sauce was good. The pizza was cooked through. And the crust was not super limp like many competitors. If I truly loved the thin crust style, this would have been 5 stars. Just had the bbq chicken pizza. Tried it a month ago - only okay. But this time - sheer bliss. And it was an A grade pizza even the next day! These guys know flavor. Original review gave 4 or 5 stars based on the above. But over the last 2-3 months ... the quality of the pizza seemed to slip. Perhaps we are just too accustomed to it? But I think the flavor seems -umm -less flavorful. The bbq chicken pizza is still variable - but graded mostly as a C. And the pepperoni pizza- just seems to lack oomph. Maybe more salt or garlic would help? Beats me. I haven't caught COVID so that wouldn't explain the reduction in flavor, so I have to assume the pizza itself has slipped. It's still easily edible - don't get me wrong! read more

I would only try their deep dish pizza. Perfectly crispy and not oily. They also always put the right amount of cheese!! Meet was well cooked as well. Chicken wings could be a little better. BBQ sauce on them was a little too sweet. Also a little on the pricey-er end. read more

I cannot fathom why this place has such great reviews. I work across the street and because they have a ridiculously huge $20 pizza, it's ordered for pretty much every potluck we ever have. That'd be awesome...if the pizza wasn't awful. It is, hands down, the worst pizza I've ever had. Quantity does not equal quality. I was totally not impressed. At all. Like, I was really disappointed. I ordered a thin crust cheese pizza (because that is my favorite thing - a GOOD cheese pizza) and it was terrible. The crust is pressed and formed - I know this because of the exact circular, machine-cut size; no hand-tossing here. The sauce was just blah, the cheese was just blah, and it was really just lame. I also ordered a regular round pizza, too, with sausage, green peppers and onion - totally bland and there was about 10 pieces of sausage on the whole medium pizza. Favorite place to get pie from. For all of you in the RO area, Benito's 12 and Rochester is eyeing a late fall comeback after their fire in the Spring. When you order your pie make sure you ask for it well done...it will come out with a little extra crisp that makes it muy bueno. Also, their Italian Sub is great. I want to give huge props to this Benito's Pizza restaurant. I was at a concert at the royal oak music theatre in April. It was general admission so I was waiting outside in line and I couldn't get out if line to go get food. Solution? Pizza delivery. We called Benito's and they were really nice about our unique delivery request. We ordered two big Benito pizzas which came out to around $51. I absolutely loved the pizza I ordered from here! The girl who took my delivery order on the phone was very accommodating and helpful. We wanted a big bennie sized pizza, but we wanted it of the specialty variety. They hadn't done that before but she worked it out and gave us a coupon too! The delivery was fast and the driver was a pretty cool kid. Without having to call my phone he walked the pizza around the back to the deck where he heard us partying (intuitive AF). We ordered the BLT pizza and a large greek salad. Both were delicious and super fresh! You know you've gotten fast delivery service when the the lettuce is still crisp on top of your hot BLT pizza by the time it gets to you. We had the "Big Benito" tonight to feed our Christmas decorating crew. It's a freaking HUGE pizza with one topping for 21 bucks. Each slice is a foot long. The pizza was generously topped with cheese and pepperoni on a (shall I say... Detroit style?) hand tossed crust. It was cooked perfectly and the whole group devoured it. I've also been treated to the Feta Benito Bread which was rich and delicious. The feta added a great spike of flavor to this super cheesy carb festival. It was great pizza... but not "blow my freaking mind" pizza. Judging from Dave S. review, I'll order it well done next time. And if you have a big group, instead of defaulting to Little "Pleasers", go for the Big Benito. The few extra bucks will be worth it. read more

Seriously bad. Thin crust pizza was delivered ice cold with all of the toppings slid into one corner, off of the pie, and onto the box. The crust managed to be both stale, soggy, and flavorless at the same time. I forced my way through one slice that managed to keep its rubbery toppings and decided it wasn't worth it. Literally threw away the entire pizza. The traditional round crust pizza was overcooked and burnt on the bottom, but at least edible. First and last time ordering from this place. read more

I've only lived next to Benito's for a couple months now but I've had it a few times. I just almost ate an entire medium pizza by my damn self... so I guess it's pretty decent! It's probably not the best pizza you've ever had, but it is quite delicious. Cooked well and the ingredient's seem to be of high quality. Delivery and pick up orders have always been on time.
